OMG! I can't believe you have snow already Susan!

Betty, I was going through the allergy shots last year, and had to quit, they were making me so sick. I take a daily singulair, as well as a daily zyrtec. But with all this rain we had the past 2 weeks, it does not help.

Feel for you lindakay..I delt with headaches due to weather so can understand he dampness affect you.

Trying to talkmyself into going into back shed for Halloween totes buttering lazy right now.

Linda Kay ask for a pneumococcal virus shot. Both my DD and myself, and now that I think of it, my son.....have weak immune systems. All have had sinus, strep, ear infections galore. We all get the pneumoccoal virus shot.....I think is every 3 years now. It has been (knock on wood) knocked down to near nothing but sniffles.

Betty, it looks like "you know who" still wants to venture with me....he is interested in the cranberry fest area....and all we saw traveling there. I figure he can carry our bags....and truth be told, he is more into buying foods and sauces, etc. lol

I'm glad the sun's out, melting the snow & icicles off the roof and the wind's died down.

Was going to wash the floors but decided I'll do it after they leave, must gout coffee on seeing as I made muffins this morning.

Don't know why these dog things happen in multiples. I go for years with just routine stuff, then everything at once! Hayley goes for her surgery consult today, and surgery tomorrow to remove the thyroid tumor (at least that's the guess as to what's going on with her). They will do a CT scan to verify first, but she has a mass in her throat, and the cytology report said it pointed toward a glandular tumor. Last night I had Klaus at the vet, what looked like a small swelling on his lower lip on Saturday, opened up, don't know of the boys had a skirmish while I was at work, or what. He's got 4 stitches in his lip. I was just getting over Charlotte's tail surgery, and now all this! I know Hayley will require follow up care, but other than that, I hope this is it for a while!!

I got a call from Home Care & they'll come Here today to take out my staples. Phew - at least I don't have to go out and if I do, it will be when snow melts more this afternoon & I go for a bit, to Crafting. I may end up doing Library stuff anyway

I just called greg, invited him to supper, called Kyle asking him to drop in, got email from Baxter snowriders re trail permits..sure have gone up, seems every year they add $19-20.. each pass if purchased before not 1st is now $197.50, big sigh, I need 2

I see from the news that 4 people from Alberta weremongst those who lost their life in Las Vegas..

Gord and I have been doing US stuff .. he purchased a gift certificate for me from 'SEPHORA' a huge make up retailer, as well as a gift certificate for my nails .. used to be $50., but has climbed to around $60. over the last 2 years .. my guilty pleasure LoL
Lorna paid for my license sticker .. THAT was a great gift, I had totally forgotten about it .. was supposed to have it on my license plate on Oct'1.
Chinese Food tomorrow as Lorna has tomorrow off for a cortisone shot to her R knee ..
Of course .. CHOCOLATE did get in there LoL, the dogs gave me some ..
DS and family will be around later ..

$150. last week for Piper's yearly check up and shots !!! We try to space the yearly visits to 3 months in between just to save up .. and, pray that nothing happens in between ..
But, when you take on the furries, you know this and their repayment is their unconditional love ..

Susan .. my bud in Calgary is in shock with the snow and wind .. another school chum lives in Lethbridge, she's almost in a panic, BUT .. it will go away ..

We have had over an inch of rain, so far .. but, mild temps ..

Marilyn - snow/wind was worse in Edmonton, and by the time it got to Lethbridge (S of Calgary) I heard the snow was only 1/2 as much. BUT, it's over now, thank goodness.

Okotoks, btw, is the southernmost part of Calgary, and Airdrie is 10 min N of Calgary. Red Deer is 1 hour N of us. ValleyView is an hour NW of Edmonton (which is 4 hours N of us)
None of the names mentioned are familiar to me, but my heartfelt sympathy goes to all those who are touched by this tragedy! Prayers & condolences go out to the families. What a shock!

Susan, same write up that I read,sad indeed! One isn't safe anywhere are they..seems the world has gone crazy this past year. On another group I belong to one of the lady's niece was shot in the back..friend of hers died.

Hard to believe what vets now charge, seemsthe know they can charge anything because of our love for them..have us over the barrel.

Sorry to hear about your friends getting shot, and the other one passing away! Sending prayers for all of them.

Not someone I know personally, niece of someone on a group I belong to but prayers always welcome!

Oh Deb it is the same with me and the TH. It just can't be 1 of them that has something wrong. Am kicking my butt I didn't take out the Pet Insurance when I got Diesel.

Ventured into Ktown this morning to get my hair cut plus get the Passport photo I need. I did everything online and got an email today saying it was on the way.Turns out the place that does the passport photo shot has moved out of the mall and no one knew where they went. I found it after I got home so will buzz into Ktown tomorrow and get it done.

Woo hoo Susan. It is such a big relief getting the staples out. The hospital sent me home with a gadget to take the staples out if the doc couldn't fit me in.

Betty there was another SG person when we did Meaford but the quality was just not there. We did well there and got some custom work out of it too. It's Meaford where I flashed the world. Here I see no one so parade around after my shower in the nude. I waltzed out not thinking and there were 2 guys walking by our window.. lol

There are a lot of bees and wasps buzzing around today.

Full moon tomorrow night. Coyotes thought it was last night. What a noise !

I got that gadget too, Dianne, but I'm a wuss. I wouldn't give myself the warfarin needle, either! Yes, I know - a BIG wuss......

Once Warren put a chain saw into his leg.Mega stitches. He was anxious to get them out. When he saw our doc in TO she thought the ER doc in Ktown wanted the stitches in too long. So 1 night he had more than enough of liquid courage and was fussing about them. So I took them out.

Lol Dianne, too funny..likely same Stained glass person..meant to tell you they had to cancel parade Friday night because of major storm and power outage,mdisappointment for sure, especially the kids.

Lordy you are brave, im with you susan, no way i could do it.

Bees here as well, had to kill one that came inside with Melanie.

No free days to sew this week because of work schedules. I did get out for a perm and hubby watched baby. Just feel I'm wasting so much time. If I could do stairs more, I could take her up with me. She's happy to play with toys as long as someone is nearby. I would never carry her on the stairs as I'm too unsteady on them my self.

Hayley's cancer is inoperable, it's spread to her lungs. Tomorrow we go to see the holistic vet, to see if she can offer some supplements that might help give her a little more time. It would be easier to accept if she was acting sick, but she's still running around and playing.

I'm so sorry Deb. It is such an insidious thing this cancer. I will keep you in my prayers...

Stitches are one thing - these were staples, and I swear people could hear me screaming for some of them. Yes, Major Wuss, but then my skin has always been super touch-sensitive. I will not apologize for being a wuss because each one of us has their limits, and this is mine. Now that they're out, it's a strain relief though. I AM glad they're out. I squeezed Bob's hand the whole time, except when he tried to hand me a stress ball to squeeze....... yeah, riiiiiiiight, like he'd get away with That lol Not A Chance lol

Deb, I'm so sorry to hear the news, know you are heartbroken..how old is Haley?
Let's hope,she continues battling the cancer as,she has been,without showing distress..hugs

Susan, I,had,staples with the appendix,and,yes no,fun getting them out..good news is they are out and you are on the mend.

Karen is there no way that when you are upstairs you could cut all you need then bring your lightweight machine downstairs and sew at kitchen table?

ok, dumb me - feeling freer and felt I could do more, so I started walking and moving more quickly (without a cane) and almost toppled 3x since I got the staples out. Trying to get ready for my 1st PT on Thurs am and wanted to impress my therapist with how much better I'm doing this time around.
Dumb move. I'm back to using a cane in the house.

Susan you need to use that cane. I had to use my walker the first 4 weeks, then I graduated to a cane. I was told too much too fast would ruin what they did.
Be careful!

Dianne meant to tell you the lovely bag of apples I bought for pies in Meaford I set out on back deck to keep them cool, when greg left last night guess who forgot to close the deck door? Some creature enjoyed eating them..not the entire apple but munched a bit on each. Grrrr

"M" did you eat all your Birthday cake? I sure could do wopith a piece to go with my coffee..had turkey/dressing sandwich and am now looking for desert.
Joanne dropped in with coffee early this morning and left about an hour ago, Darlene and John dropping in this afternoon and there goes the day.

I did sew binding on a Christmas table topper and on the cross stitch quilt so I've plenty to sit and hand sew today.

Got small Xmas piece done, one side of the rose quilt took me 1 1/2hrs to hand sew, doubtful I'll be done tonight
