Morning all, you would think you could do with a few days between having a/c to heat but no, chilled to the bones this morning so on went the heat.
We must have had heavy winds, few broken things outside that I had to pick up this morning.
Those are long hours Susan, Susan must be exhausted and unable to do much on her only day off.
Time to have breakfast, made a coffee a bit ago then put laundry in washer, came back upstairs and made a coffee so here sits 2 coffees..best I drink them.
Girls come to sew tonight so I'm thinking I'll try and finish the floormat then have time to take a nap this afternoon.
What about you all?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends new and old..come join in..
Wow! The camper looks really nice. I'm sure they'll have fun with it.
I agree. That is beautiful.
Weather went all poopy here too. Finally had a day I could sew, picked up my new little machine and wanted to give her a run. Case had fallen over in the car and that first guide your thread goes through after the spool was broken. Back to the shop and no replacement available (downside to vintage machines), He did find one that he thought might work and just gave it to me. It was close and finally with a bit of filing and tuning up, it will work. I have a grandson who welds so I'll see if he can fix the original some day.
I did actually get to sew for about half an hour before time to fix dinner. Maybe tomorrow.
Wow Betty - this is truly a beautiful trailer they have. I agree, the built in dog dishes would do it for me (if I had a dog lol)
Went to Three Hills today, and I guess I'm taking too much pain killers because my tummy's been making me feel like I'm going to be sick, so Bob let me off at Una's to visit and have some tea. On the way back we got some gravol & that did the trick for me.
I'm cutting back from 2 of T4's to 1 of T3's and they still seem to be doing the trick for me.
Betty, I bet anything that Ziggy sensed or smelled the other kitty outside.
That is exactly how my crew act when there is an intruder in the area.
The tie rods are fixed on the car, but Saturday DH has to do the complete brakes, rotors and pads and ....something up front that mechanic said was sticking. Piston
in the brake area.
Long day today also. Went for shots in Rochester. Ended up 2 allergy shots AND the flu shot. THEN went and got manicure and pedicure. They always massage my shoulders while I am sitting with my hands wrapped in the hot wax they do....oh did it feel so good. Tomorrow I need to go get a haircut. Not sure what I am doing yet.....DH said leave long for winter. I just can't see with the front. lol
Love the camper!!
Going to bed, tired out!!!
This is the sky looking Canada way tonight.
#1 towards Diannes area
#2 toward Bettys direction
Betty - not only long hours, but she has to work BOTH Sat & Sun this week.
Boy, companies that don't have unions (in the US) sure have their employees over a barrel!!!
Morning all, rain, high of 50 but a feels like 48 and colder tomorrow, time to get out winter garb...
Debbie, glad that you are now driving a roadsafe vehicle, mark your calendar for Balance Cranberry Festival (town where we hadbreakfast and did cranberrupy marsh) ..no not because of other kitties it was absolutely weird, sure I had a spirit visiting..love the photo's..niece was just commenting that sunsets of late are more beautiful. Linda and Suzanne are going to Meaford tomorrow, will miss you.
Susan, you'd never get away with working employees like that sure, think it's 48 hours max right? Glad you are on lower doepse meds, awful being nauseous.
Drats on the guide Karen, as a temp fix if nothing else works get a paper clip, tape it to area and run thread to it..depends what metal is in the guide as to wether or not it can be soldered/welded..that is the pitzzz
Not much going on here today with rain, Ziggy is laying beside me, have newspaper and sales sheets so will go through them, don't really need much but might take advantage of a few salesmen downstairs to play for a bit..trying to decide if I want to get out of Jammie's till I head for town, awfully comfy in them.
Morning everyone. Still raining here. 10 inches since Monday. Yard is soaked, dogs tracking in mud!!! Glad there are no carpets here.
Glad to hear your car is getting taken care of Debbie. That sure was a close call.
Susan, be careful with those pills, they are strong ones for sure.
Funny Betty, I had the same about using the paper clip. All it has to do is guide the thread to the slot on top.
We are under a frost warning tonight. Ugh hate to bring everything in so soon.
Hope you are onhigh ground lindakay..will 10" flood you out?
Yikes Karen, must go back and look at the weather forecast, maybe I mustbring things in as well.
Looked at sales but not a lot I need so likelytake a run to town and pickup just staples, rest I can buy as I need
Bought a craftsby class, quilting ona xmas tree throw while taking breaks and looking to see if I've enough fabric here to make one of the Quilts..
Craftsy has a lot of nice classes! Which one did you buy?
Wow. Hard to believe it is time fro frost already!
No, we are soggy, and lots of mud, but not flooded yet. An inch or 3 each day seams to be soaking in.

Good news lindakay re flooding, can always wash up mud.
Went to town, sky looked angry and wind came up, and by the time I came out it was pouring rain, so I'm drenched bringing in groceries...thought iof you twice LindaKay, this morning when I took off my summer daisy pj's you sent me and tonight when I had to buy a box of goodies to put in the glad pumpkin you sent me..3rd time I filled it, not sure how they all got eaten lol
For a gal who said she didn't need anything my trunk was full, of course more for Thanksgiving next week..greg owed me for his part in flowers for Aunt Hazel, wanted to pay me yesterday but I told him to buy a turkey, I picked up spiral ham, more ingredients for pies, you know me and thanksgiving pies 😂 And treats..surely next weekend I'll not need anything much.
I got Christmas throw quilted today so I'm thinking seeing as I picked up supper I'll eat then go downstairs, sew binfpding in and have some hand quilting to do tonight if I feel like it
Wow is she raining...
Class is 'piece like a pro'. Think I've about 15 of them now and only did 1
Glad you are enjoying the pumpkin Betty. Must be those little gremlins eating the candy!! LOL!
Just popped in to say "hi" It was a mixed bag day - minimal pain, more than moderate discomfort from swollen R leg. Ended up elevating it for 3 hours before it went to normal.
I'm annoyed that my "updated" phone doesn't have a built in app for a repeating alarm so I get up & walk every hour. I truly forget. My old phone had it built in.
I'm hardly taking any painkillers at all. T3's (one, every 6 or more hours between).
Morning all, cool day but sunshine..
Kind of day we always have for Meaford Applefest..always think of you Dianne bustling about, getting ready for your booth and the crowds..
Best I finish my coffee as Suzanne will be here by 8 and we pick Linda up in elmvale at 8:30, about an hour drive from there.
Enjoy your day
Enjoy the fest Betty. I hope you don't get too wet if it rains.
So Betty, are you letting the salesmen out of the basement? Or going to continue taking advantage of them? Hehehe Love your typos.
"but might take advantage of a few salesmen downstairs to play for a bit..trying to decide if I want to get out of Jammie's till I head for town, awfully comfy in them."
So jealous for the apple fest!!! We actually have one near here this weekend and I am waiting for the storms to clear. Lost power last night for a minute....but set everything to blinking in the house and to reset.
Had a doozy last night and my brand new umbrella snapped in half. Things scattered about the yard and some cleaning needs done.
LMAO Debbie - you Are naughty! but then...... it looks like Betty is too!!! hehehehe
Betty - enjoy the Applefest! Take some apples to the salesmen, they might get hungry lol
I'm doing better today - had a rough night. My R leg was swelling and causing some grief. Today, I'm on a better schedule of painkillers and drinking a lot of fluids.
Bob went & cut his finger on a bandsaw at Pat & Glenn's - cutting metal roofing for their deck overhang. Not bad, can't see bone, but peroxide, antibiotic cream & a bandage, with a new set of work gloves and he's back on the job.
I promised someone I would show my roses still blooming & can't remember who, so here it is. Before we get snow on Monday (and strong Northerly winds Sunday)
So laughing Debbie, these auto corrects could get one into mega trouble..lol
Bob is an accident waiting to happen, sure hope the cut isn't too bad but then any cut can get infected so best he take care..love the roses..
What a glorious day today, real fall fair type day..masses were in Meaford..
I was a good girl but Linda talked me into buying a big stuffed turkey..he is the back porch outdoor greeter!
Then a pumpkin light, anxious to light it up tonight and then candle place said they weren't going to carry any more of the realistic candles once the ones there are gone no more so ended up buying another pillar candle..not cheap $32.98 but I don't have to worry about Ziggy and fire..
That is about all I bought other than some dip packages, pepper jelly, etc
Did stop at foodland and bought frozen stuffed turkey, if I can find room in freezer I'll keep it for later but if not then I'll throw it in the oven
Girls tired me out, think I'll make a coffee and sit a tad
Bob's working hard, but not starting too early or finishing too late. Earliest start is 9am, but usually 9:30-10am, and finishes either when the weather turns bad, or 5pm. Today he started at 9am and finished at 3:30. He didn't stop for lunch, but did come home a few times to chat with me (check on me) and see what he needed over at their place.
Productive week-end two quilt tops finished and third will be wrapped up tomorrow, just needs the border, hopefully get 4th started. That's more than I've gotten done all summer.
My aunt is making crocheted rag rugs, I'll be taking her a bunch of fabric I know I won't be using as some of her neighbors are wanting to learn.
Hmorning all, willbe a fall sunshine day with high of 61..
Linda and her granddaughter will be here around 8:30 to do their craft, likely finished by 1 then I will have rest of the day to myself. Bit tired, stayed up until 12:30 this morning until turkey was cooked amd up early, want to carve it before company arrives.
Guess Susan with inclement weather on its way Bob wants to get the projects done, $$$ in your pocket andmaybe have time to do your siding.
Oh Karen doesn't it feel great getting projects done..you will have to post photo's, from the sounds of it you get to sew again today, oh happy days.
I'm going to try and put in a good week and finish what is traggling so I can start something new.
Barb isyour quilt at the quilters? Sleeping better with the new bed?
Best I finish coffee and get ready for the girls
Those are so cute.
Enjoy your day.
Those are adorable and look fairly easy to do. Where would you find such nice flat stones?
Dollar store Barb,
Both Linda and Rachael aren't painters but Rachael her dpgrandaughter loves to craft so it's a way of them spending time together..she sure isn't a talker lol
They just left and happy with their 2 projects..while they painted I did another table top, great to have as extra's at Christmas seeing they are quick to do and great way to use up scraps.tomorrow I'll quilt it amd voila, another Xmas pressie!
Lovely rocks Karen, been some time since I painted animals on rocks, must get back to it one day.
Best I finish carving turkey and cook up some turnip then I'm ready for supper.
They did a fabulous job. All are so cute!!!! Like your topper too!
Looks like you all had a great time today.
I'm sure I've seen bags of stones like this, for sale in craft shops & maybe even WalMart?
I've found some when walking along a creek when we were camping. The ones you get in craft stores aren't polished, they're left natural for these types of crafts.
Pat & Glenn are about ready to call it quits - running out of $$ allocated for Bob to do work for them. By Friday our weather is supposed to turn nice again, and Lambert's ready to help Bob install the siding when we're ready.

Morning everyone,
Will start by offering prayers for the loss of life in Vegas, those poor families..
It's a sunshine day out there, high of 68, greatly to bring out Halloween from back deck..doubtful I'll bring everything out but nice to see the place decorated.
Officially I opened Santa's Workshop, feel in the mood to get to it again as the months just seem to fly by, we know what is coming right.
Think with cooking a turkey yesterday and too tired to even eat some of it I'll call greg and see if he wants to come over spoor supper seeing as Melanie is working afternoon shift, will be nice to hear all about his first weekend of camping in new trailer, know bad storm hit them Friday as 1/2 of Meaford was without power since Friday afternoon.
Talked to mom last night, she really isn't feeling well, going for tests this morning..Sharon invited her for Thanksgiving, she will provide a ride for her to go to her place this weekend..if she has it Monday I might drive the 1 1/2 one way to join them, all depends how tired I am.
Susan, bet they also are disappointed about not having additional funds to keep Bob going but it means you getting your siding done before bad weather.
Enjoying the sunshine beaming through the dirty front window as I sit on the chesterfield, am thinking of heading downstairs, put binding on cross stitch quilt and just sit here for the day handsewing..
How about you?
Prayers for those in Vegas as well. So sad.
I just got back from urgent care. Sinus infection and upper resperatory infection. I got a shot of antibiotics as well as a script for pills to take.
I think I know when Betty will get her first snow. October 14 when I come up. lol
Nope, told weatherman we are ok with coats but no snow Debbie.
Sorry to hear you are unwell again lindakay..could you not get a shot of something to help before the season starts?seems you are prone..
Susan, omg omg..please keep it..is this earlier than usual?
