Debbie, since when did DH start a 2nd job??
11th Annual DG Christmas workshop..
He has been working it for a month now. about 20 to 25 hours a week depending at Auto Zone.
Shall I tell you a Santa story?? A good friend's husband Rodger, used to do the whole Santa thing for friends. He was a BIG guy, about 6'5" and 400 pounds. Well, our church was having an adult Christmas party and Roger was asked to do Santa. So he KNOWS all these people well and it was a blast!!!
Fred sits on his lap, Roger just shakes his head, breaks the candy cane and pushes him off his lap. Another guy swears he was REALLY REALLY good and he wants a Ferrari. So Santa tells him," if you REALLY were as good as you say, then the Ferrari will be in your driveway! If not... then you get nothing for lying to Santa."
Rodger finally gets his wife on his lap and he asks what she wants. Now she is a reserved, quiet kind of person. She tells him, "an ironing board". He asks, "that's it? An ironing board?" She slips an arm around his neck and says in a sultry voice "I want to have Santa's baby!" Rodger turned flame red and replies ... "aaa... we'll talk about that" and pushes her off his lap!! Norma says it was the only time in their marriage that she embarrassed him.
It was honestly the best party I have ever attended. Rodger was such a hoot, adults having fun, a happy memory.
Ahhh too adorable, love Christmas stories..my hubby Roger played santa for many years, tradition now with Jeff..
Debbie’s hubby does same..makes a great santa with his stature.

I love that story Pat. Sounds like it was a great party.
Our neighbor played Santa for us one year. My aunt and I sneaked him into the basement and dressed him up right down to rouge, fluffy eyebrows, and old fashioned glasses. When he made his appearance, nobody could figure out who it was. Afterwards he went home and knocked on his back door. His youngest about 3 1/2 at the time opened the door and said. "Oh hi Daddy".
My kids used to ask why daddy was never around when they got their pressies

LOL so cute & funny!!
I have some pictures from our Medieval outting yesterday
The two ladies with me are from my church - Audrey & Mary (and me)
The fellow next to me near the cradle is the owner of the Good Knights Entertainment - Lord Daniel :-D
Before I decide to go onwith a 12th Workshop thought I’d see how many are in and then d3cide what the projects will be
Well, you know you are stuck with me. AND I am still going to get the duct tape
I'm in - I can't remember if I ever did a workshop. Maybe the 1st one? Not sure, but I don't think I ever did. Would love to join in though
Count me in.
I think Betty you REALLY need to consider if this year this is something you can/ should be doing. I know it's fun and you enjoy it, but with all your health issues, do you WANT to take this on? Maybe a project that you could send out instructions and leave more of the work to the individual participants? Love ya Betty, want you healthy.
im in too.
yeah, give me instructions, and I have the stuff to do the work. Seems to me I "MAY" have stash of every sort to make things LOL
A neighbour of mine, knowing I'm a "craftsy person" gave me some ribbon she got for free at a yard sale. Yup, I can find something to do with it. Bob & I are having an Anniversary Tea on the 12th (yes, just after Thanksgiving lol), to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I'll use ribbon to decorate! Yuppers, I can do this!

Betty, we can find supplies, like the glasses, or the glass bricks with lights. I agree with Susan, make it easy on yourself, and give us instructions.
Not to worry I’ve something up my sleeve
😍
that right there is scary.....something up her sleeve!!! I know how she operates and have been on grand adventures with her trying to find our supplies!
This weekend debbie..you should be joining us
