Goodness Betty.... sending prayers your way. Healthy, Happy holiday @ HOME.
11th Annual DG Christmas workshop..
Laying here, few gurgles in tummy and I’m thinking, what if I start to vomit? Made hot chocolate amd hoping to fall asleep..does say with the colitis I have it can bring on severe vomiting and even vision problems, never heard about the vision part buthad that as part amd parcel..
The wind here is beyond strong, they are calling for snow later this morning, mom is hoping to drive home to the city 11/2 hrs away, told her she will not be going if a blizzard..
When she is home she wants to be somewhere else, when somewhere else wants to be home, guess that describes most of us.
ah - you have colitis! I hadn't seen that before. Glad you've been diagnosed, and it's known what to do about it. Finally, an answer!
I went to a Red Hatter's Christmas party - great food, fun Christmas present "stealing" (20 people, one by one get a wrapped gift from the table, display it and if someone next wants to "steal" it, they can. When that gift gets to the 3rd person, it's permanently theirs). We all discussed what we were doing for Christmas. Some nothing, some going to someone else's home, others taking a vacation somewhere warm/hot, and others are hosting Christmas their homes (like us - first Christmas we're hosting since 2014 - really happy about that!!)
They diagnosed me with exchemic colitis in June or so, not sure that is what brings on the extreme vomiting but possible..
You will so enjoy your Christmas this year susan, great news for sure.
Yes I’ve often played the game, do enjoy it.
Thank you, Betty - I have to figure out when to stop decorating though lol
Time to do some baking, right? :-)
I’m going to go in next time I’m in town and order a platter of tasties from bakery, you did say take it easy right?
That's a great idea, Betty. As for the baking, I was talking about me baking lol
Food... yes, food is good. STOP decorating and START baking Susan!
lol Pat - ok, stopped decorating, and have started baking. Well, sorta stopped decorating. Added a tree to our den, and it's decorated with vintage original & tiny decorations. Bob keeps adding lights inside & out, too. This is unusual for him, but I love it.
I baked some sugar cookies on Tues & took them to crafting - unfortunately so many others also took Christmas baking so we were swamped with food lol
It was lovely. On Monday our crafting group went for lunch at an Asian restaurant, and the Wellness Clinic (they're the ones who started the Library & crafting group) paid for our lunch! That was so nice of them.
We have a new neighbour who moved her mobile next to ours, today. Her name is Carol & she has a quilting machine (what's that mean?)
Hope everyone's enjoying this joyous season!
Great for you susan, both the decorating and Quilting...finally a Christmas you can enjoy!
Lovely..
I like the changes Susan.
Thank you - More is better, in this case, right? :-)
I think so
Has the 12th Annual gotten underway yet?? It's September!! LOL
lol yeah, the THIRD of September - aren't we late? lol lol lol
You are bad. Lol
=P
Betty, do you know what this years project will be?
Not yet, must get at it
Yuppers - I's b bad.....
I'm a riot and as everyone knows, a riot needs a ringleader. Pat - will you be mine? hehehehehe
Lead, follow... I can do either. You need a ringleader? Sure!! I like stirring things up occasionally!
I found a great garden project, but wont work for mailing and Christmas.
We need to make cement! Rubber gloves and lots of mess.
Please share Debbie
I saw a video on facebook. You make hands cupped together, using latex gloves. You mix cement, use a vase, put 1 glove in it, fill the glove. Get all air out, and tie it off, Do same with second glove. Put them side by side, but cut the palm where they are side/side like cupping something. so the cement joints the two gloves as it dries.
After drying for 24 hours.....you can use it to plant succulents, or hold birdseed, and put them around garden. They had it done with one glove ...two gloves and even one holding a little garden book I think it was.
Debbie I did those when Joyce was here a few years ago, loved it, grew succulents in the hands..was when Sailor was alive, he was chasing ball, over went the hand and broke a few fingers, made a bad sign lol
You have to come and we’ll do some in hypertufa along with some containers for next year..I added fibreglass flakes to strengthen mine..have quite a bit left for us to use
I have seen them on youtube. Sounds like they are fun to make.

Ya, Betty doesn't look the type to have "that" gesture in her garden!!!
no, that's a "Fuddle Duddle" kind of gesture lol (as per Pierre Elliot Trudeau)
I remember that Susan, was a long time ago
I remember riding tic when news canme the debonair Trudeau had just married his Marguerite...
Cute
Betty wouldn't....but I would! Pointed right at my neighbor! Evil laugh. bwaaahahaha
hahahahahaha Debbie - you're naughty, and as this is a Christmas thread, maybe you should watch out for Santa checking his list TWICE!!! lol
No use me looking at Santa's lists.... I KNOW which one I belong on. Too late to change that!! LOL

Debbie, thinking of coming at month’s end?
I will see how things go here, and depends on DH's work schedule.
With him doing 2 jobs, I need someone for the dog. But yes, I would love it.
AND I know Santa personally and he put me on the naughty list long ago.
