Debra ,Those are all great flower , I planted some crimson rambler , had a sandwich bag full of seeds , they did not grow this time , misplaced the baggie of seeds oh well I got them back a few times a season or two later. Like several ,they can actually sit in the soil a long time before they grow .
About the Ground Cherry or yellow Husk tomato I think it is
I saw a large Eastern Swallowtail and three Monarchs today ,
Turtle Dove is cute also ,

Beautiful morning glories Debra. Love the monarch. Son in law was texting me pictures today. They have 30 plus fresh out of chrysalises from under their deck. Must be a beautiful sight!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

OH Keith, plz send us pics of those. How wonderful!
Ju, you need to join us in the MG forum. Look for us, plz? we only have three peeps besides me in there..

Sorry Debra, I'm trying but am having technical difficulties. I'm not a real whiz when it comes to all this new technology. I've recently changed how I send my pictures. I am now using Google Photos and since I enabled my tablet to do that I have not been able to go back to my old way which was from my gallery. The picture that Steve sent me is saving to my gallery instead of Google Photos so right now I can't get to it to share with you guys. If I ever get this figured out I will share. The day that we released Amon (we had to rename Mona once we realized she was a he) I had to use Wendy's phone because mine was dead and I had no trouble sharing those after Wendy sent them to me so I am quite confused

I have got to feed my dahlias. So I have a Red Apple ice plant? Cool. Had a tiny thunderstorm last night and it ripped wind all around my house, my truck wasn't covered (working on door seals) and I had bee equipment outside the shed. At 4 am I was covering and putting up, bees did ok, but loose equipment did get tossed.

I have got to feed my dahlias, the year has gotten away from me, hasn't been as hot as usual, I just have green leaves right now.

Monarch photos would be lovely. so far this year I have only had giant swallowtail, tiger swallowtail, Queen and Gulf Frittillary

Utilizing some of the weeds on our property- bamboo, planted by an ignorant neighbor who thot she could contol it on her 1' of road easement. Watering the thirsty plants. The male hummers left, I have 1 lonesome female still with me. If we survive the next month of heat I will be happy.

Oxdrift, Canada

Great pics guys.
Today from Oxdrift we have one of Keith's "off the wall" topics
This is the last week of having the grandkids for the summer sò today we went on a fun road trip ATV style. We headed out to a place south of town called Goldrock. It is located on Upper Manitou Lake and was an active gold mine town from around 1890 to 1939. Wendy and I had our first experience going there in 2014 and I wish we had gone many years earlier before almost everything was destroyed. I am sure you are all questioning what this has of interest to my Dave's Garden friends.
Well we discovered a feature still in excellent condition last time we went that if I had a Fairy Godmother who could grant wishes I would want this "wanded"" into my back yard. I am told that back in the day it was the dynamite storage building and it has held up and aged over the years into a fantasy fixture in a rock garden. I am sure the pictures will appeal to you all as gardeners
I believe last time we saw some evidence that it was once roofed with wood covered in red rolled roofing but that is all gone now. As you can see some of the rocks around the door have crumbled away. One sidewall is pretty much all in tact, that is shown from the inside in the 3rd photo. The way the rocks have aged and collected moss is just amazing. The walls are close to 2 feet thick and i would guess the structure may be about 16'x16'. Cant you just picture this in my back yard surrounded by hostas and ferns?
PS. Can you see grandpa forgot to pack a rain jacket

Nice pictures, blooms , pets, critters and family. Love that puppy, wish I could come and get it. Everything here is in bloom overload and I am wayyy behind. That's okay, tho, cuz my baby girl is certainly more important to me than *gardening* :D

She has a nice garden going on her balcony up there, took pics, but left my camera up there. Dang!

(Robin) Blissfield, MI(Zone 6a)

Wow, it's all dry stacked too. Nice find Keith!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

It is a very cool structure, and yes, Grandpa forgot his raincoat, and definitely needs this in his own backyard! LOL

Fort Worth, TX

oh very nice Keith. Robin it's good to see you. Hey Deb you wandered to your daughters?

Me, I have approximately 50 baby Asclepius Tuberosa on the front porch. Lost 1 to spider mites, 3 to disappeared in cup, but overall my refrigerator winter was a success.
Texas sage with a bumble bee
One of my stargazer lilies survived and bloomed. The one I put in the ground had its stem nibbled by something and died, my daughter's never came up
The eclipse under my live oak tree - see a jillion eclipses without looking up.

I love that Texas Sage. Good catch on the eclipse Gypsi, I would have been happy to see that, lol. It's great to check in on you guys/gals, I can get lost for a while.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

I like that structure Keith , the history is always interesting .

Gypsi nice success withe Tuberosa ,
I have a tendency to lose threads once in a while myself Robin ,More like busy with other things space offs ,lol

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Seems MG's dont like to grow without something to grab on to. Keith, I got home and treated my rocks with vinegar, stopped the slippery and reduced snails. Sun is bright today, but my bones FEEL that tropical storm that is coming- the heat is too intense to go outside long. Last is the butterfly (s) that are showing up, this is 1 of 2, plus there are a few larger Yellow Sulphurs on the lantana. Love you guys pix!
