I should have left the trash barrel out front because I am starting to throw away stuff from the garage. Just going to prove to my son that not all of that is mine. He said he got rid of his stuff and the rest is mine.

I need prayers for my brother. Just heard from my sister that he fell in the hallway and SIL had to call ambulance and they think he had a stroke. I'm waiting for more news. Saw him last Saturday and he was looking good. Trying to bring his BP down as it went very high. He never had BP problems before. Thanks all in advance, I'm a born worrier.

Thank you gals, they are still running tests, cat scan showed no bleeding in brain, one great piece of news. He fought the doctors & nurses so they had to restrain him so his brain is sending strange signals. At least they have him transferred to the hospital he belongs to and I'll probably hear more this evening or in the morning. He didn't want her to call 911 when he fell taking her down with him, but he really scared her and hospital is where he belongs.

Another nice day and if I can get my son working like this every day we will make one big dent in the junk. I know I have the lumber for the flower plates now. He dragged so much out from under the car port and I'll have him cut the sizes I need. At least he is making a big enough dent. My Mandy wont know what to do with so much room to run around.

Pegi - sounds like he's hallucinating? If he's doing this, then hospital is definitely where he belongs where they can look after him and his wife isn't scared.
Continuing prayers for your brother

Haven't heard any news yet today about brother. He definitely had a stroke and I'm afraid it has affected his mind. Hospital wants to release him, now what the heck is wrong with this picture! He will need therapy, but he is such a stubborn man right now no one can settle him down. Thanks all for prayers.

I found more glass items I planned on making totems with, but just when I don't know. Our main project now is getting the rest of the backyard clutter gone. We are definitely going to get grant from city, but property has to be cleared up. Major job a head of us. Hubby did leave too much for me to handle. May have to break down and hire someone. Wow, it is over whelming!!

Pegi - Why in the world would the hospital want to release him when your SIL can't look after him, and his mind is affected? If the hospital is having trouble settling him down and they're trained, how is she going to?

I opened up a couple of boxes of Christmas decorations - one is my Christmas Village and I put it on top of the piano. Two or three more boxes to open. looking forward to our Christmas In March!!

Michael has been in hospital since Friday. Whatever is eating his lung has started on the left lung. It has done a lot of damage to the right lung. He has lost 50 pounds. They did a biopsy today. Praying it is something curable

Boy what a storm we had last night. about 10:30 huge winds came up, then lots of quarter size hail and a tornado. We have broken windows in the house on the east side, cars are full of dings from the hail.

I can't believe my son is accomplishing so much in the yard. If he had started that immediately after his dad passed it would look pretty good today. Now, we think gophers have found their way in, that's a job fighting them

Loads of prayers for Michael. Hope they can stop whatever is attacking his lungs. I've been talking to the Lord a lot asking for healing for all. My younger sister will come down this weekend to be my SIL's moral support plus help her with other things. Wish I could do more for her than prayers. She has health issues too but she keeps on going.

Pegi and Kathy, I'll do some heavy duty prayers to include your love ones.
So sorry for Michael, he must be restless, never a man to be ill or to sit still.

Got a call from Todd, and LK is doing fine.
Everything's okay and she's in recovery as I am typing.
The earliest she'd be discharged would be Friday.
Told Todd to tell her that she can't do the jig just yet!

So glad to hear from you Jaye, and for letting us know that LK is out of surgery and in recovery. Prayers for healing.

Now the hospital is saying my brother didn't have a stroke, but the onset of dementia, and the cancer is spreading. Apparently the chemo pills have stopped working as they did with my hubby. He is still being sent to rehab and they give him at the most a year to live. His wife is confused about a lot of this so my younger sister will be down on Friday to be with her & wants to talk to the doctors. I just heard my nephew's cancer has returned so he will go to the Mayo clinic. Doctors there do wonderful work with their patients.

Pegi - that onset of dementia sounds like it came on suddenly and hard! To have the cancer spreading too, must be awfully hard on him and your SIL.
My prayers are with them and with you.
Glad to hear that your nephew's cancer is being looked after by the Mayo Clinic. I have heard of their wonderful work.

Morning everyone. I am still kicking. Well not really, but I am here. Pain is very little and tolerable. I have been out if bed and walking twice.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

They continue LK for a really speedy recovery.

Afternoon everyone.
These days have been inundated with one doctor's appointment after another.
Then there are the tests.
All in the name of prolonging my life.
Strange that when Medicaid kicks in, my health
decides to take a downward turn.
BUT, I am glad I have Medicaid.
Some could be prevented if I had a decent health care plan.

As for my psyche, I am put on Wellbutrin and more Prozac.
So.. Xanax, Celexa and lower PRozac didn't work and I think if
the former two combo won't work, guess it will be a lobotomy!

Most afternoons, if I'm not in waiting rooms,
I just want to sleep.

Yes the good part, I am getting help.
The bad part, the specialists are all two hours away.
That takes another toll on Kel,
but now I understand why Lord told me to stay.
He is now my driver.

His mum and I try to do a weekly outing whenever possible.
Since Murdock's death and the son's inclination towards
satan's path, seems Lord sees fit for me to keep her company.

Everything works together for a purpose right?
You know love is said to be long suffering...
lol.. waiting on relief still.

Karen, I am sorry I haven't started on the blocks, as my eye
still gives me problems, though I had the shots.
It hurts too much still, and I am making another appt. with my first
opthamologist, not the surgeon, to check into it.
Don't want to take another shot for I had felt the pain then.

Will be back, and you all take care on this lovely windy day.

Jaye - SO glad you've posted - sorry to hear you're still having problems with your eyes.........
Really glad to hear your relationship with Ida is getting stronger :-)

As for me - today I'm taking as much of an "off computer day" as I can do - I have a Round Robin center to do, and we're trying to get this tiny place less cluttered, for when Susan comes to visit, on March 10th. I know that sounds like a long time off, but we're decorating for Christmas and trying to put stuff away so there's Room for her lol She'll sleep on the couch, but she doesn't mind that :-)
SO looking forward to seeing her again - 2 week's from today that she arrives!! 14 more sleeps!!!!!!!

Jaye, no problem, there is no time limit or set schedule. When I have enough blocks, I will put them together. There are always vets out there waiting.

Jax, if your lurking, just wanted to say happy birthday.

You mean I missed another birthday. Happy Birthday Jaye; Hope all is going well with you Linda Kay. Saw my brother yesterday, one of his really good days. My SIL picked me up early and we spent the morning with him. He was waiting for us. We put him in the wheelchair and out to the patio. He doesn't talk about present time, just what he dreams and asked me if I saw the horse on top of the roof. That is only time he said something a little weird. Oh yes, he was in Texas and I was there. I don't remember if I enjoyed myself or not. He is on a medication to keep him calm so I haven't seen any of his bad days. Still on soft diet until the muscles in his throat and jaw work better. Made me feel good to see him like this. My SIL is a super wife and takes care of everything she can. Of course, it is taking a toll on her. We are all praying he keeps on improving. She is contacting hospice and will see how it goes from there.

What's happening here, no posts since the 2nd? Waited most of the day for a contractor to show up to give me estimate on work needed he never showed. Cross that sucker off my list. People are so inconsiderate at times. Well, he may have lost out on a job. Monday will have to start over. Wish I could just go with the one that has an estimate worked out for me, but city insists on 2 estimates.

yaaaaaaay - DG is functioning again

I popped 2 ribs out on Fri night - Chiro put them back in on Sat am. Couldn't breath well, and ended up sleeping on the loveseat with a board at my back on Friday. Saturday I added ice and slept there again last night.
Recovering, but geeeeeeeeze it hurt! This is how you Should be sitting at your computer. Chiro said that these injuries are happening more & more with desktop computers. I likely coughed as well...that would do it.

4 more sleeps, until Susan arrives on Thurs afternoon, for 10 days!!

I WAS recovering, until I put them out again. Now I'm waiting until tomorrow at 8am when they open, to pop them back again.
