Jaye called just for a few minutes. Her surgery went well, and she was so surprised when she opened her eyes and could see. She said things were a bit blurry, but should clear up.

The aura isn't gray anymore, the fonts now are crisp black and somewhat legible. I can see buildings and recognise faces from twenty foot away

The morning started bad. He was lost, tried to call the hospital for directions at 7.00.. appt. at 7.15, and there weren't any answers at all.
I called my doctor's office and answering service pickied, being out of town, the operator can't give me directions.
You all should see Kel, he was livid and threw a fit.
Couldn't even google the directions on his stupid phone as the reception keeps going off!!
He was even mad at me for being quiet, (I was actually being productive and praying and giggling silently all the while)
Then his driving foot had an allergic reaction which upset him more! He won't even stop on the side to scratch the itch but kept taking his frustrations on the dashboard/
Finally recognised the main thoroughfare and decided to follow that long road, and then reception for his google.
Yes, when we got there, it was an hour later. The receptionist said that my surgery wasn't cancelled, but just moved to a later time!
Kel was so upset at the receptionist for not answering the phone.
She said the phone was working and that she didn't get any calls until she picked it up!!!
The whole city circuit was messed up!!! LOLOLOL.
Comedy of errors?

Yes, Karen and Barb. The surgery was PAINLESS, he had to dilate my eye twice, and when I was told to open my eyes, I was in shock!
Room is so clear, my right eye can see faces around me!
God is so good!!

Stayed all afternoon so I don't have to return the following day to see the doctor. Kelvin was not happy waiting, but he's compensated with food.

Well, it didn't rain today and sun was out. Mandy did get to go for her walk this evening. I do hope more rain will come as we need so much more. I should get out and pull weeds that have come up with my sweet peas as they will be so much easier to pull now.

I return to reading bad news on FB too.
Got a message from my extended family in Houston that Sophy,
the one I helped 10 years ago when she had cancer surgery in Houston,
just underwent another surgery.
She's in low spirits, never thought the cancer would return
as she's doing all she could to keep fit.

Then, got a call from a long lost "friend" who refused to reconnect with
me for more than thirty years, since her move to California.
Had acted Godmother to her three girls, managed to get hold of the
youngest one through Facebook last year.
Sisters, it took her youngest daughter's death to call me.
She finally admitted that we had at one time a great family like
relationship until her then ex, deceased husband, had an affair with
one of our mutual friend's daughter.
She thought that me and my ex knew about it!
Anyway... Chandra, committed suicide. She was 33, and depression
got to her.
Chandra graduated from Switzerland with a masters degree and was promise
a job with a prestigous museum in Los Angeles.
She returned only to find out that the job isn't hers anymore.

My eyes were very well lubricated, needless to say, for I was there
when Chandra took her first steps, helped with diaper duty!

Picked up Lola from the vet a while ago.
She'd be taking my mind off the sadness for a while.

Please pray for Sophy, for she's going through depression too. I wish
I could fly to Houston and help her out.

m going to trial cuz my lawyer tod me to, so i dont lose my license. i got s speeding ticket doing 57 in a thirty. going plead guilty to a lesser charge.

Jaye, so happy your procedure was a success! I have the beginning of a cateract in my left eye. Doc says it will be a few years before I'll need anything done to it.

Haven't had any rain for a few days, but that means Mandy can go for a walk. Just can't seem to make myself move around, sun came out and that makes me feel better. Already I'm so sick of gloomy days.

Hope all goes well in court Kathy. Haven't heard from Susan in a while either. I think so many are waiting for spring.

They are also waiting on admin to get the bugs fixed on this site. And before they fix the known bugs, they say they are working on making the home page better. I say leave it alone, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

They need to spend their time kicking themselves for messing with it in the first place.

I notice plenty of 'fixes' to come, but didn't seem like she addressed any of the poster's suggestions or real concerns. Like maybe a quoted line out of some of their suggestions and a possiblity of it being a good suggestion or a "Thanks, we'll look into that!".. Any good manager knows that in order to have a good team, you listen and reply to the concerns, even if it is a genuine, general answer. You can't lead if there isn't anyone behind you.
That being said, I'm glad that things are getting fixed somewhat. Even if they get it to where everyone can use the entire site, it will never be "Daves" again. What made Daves was the people and the general happy, sharing atmosphere of it all. That started leaching out when they lost the original leaders. With all the great info that can be found here, you would think that the Almighty Ones would see that bringing information out right away and update notices in the banners or even across the board Dmail to everyone would help calm the situation somewhat. Putting anything on a thread that only a few check into is useless. I don't know how much pull Melody or the others have, but if they want the dust to clear, the info and the act of actually addressing concerns would help greatly.

I agree. If there are concerns posted, someone needs to answer.

Has anyone heard anymore about Ernie anywhere? I've thought of him often but haven't seen any word on how he's doing.

He post in the parking lot thread now and then, but has not posted in a week or so. Last he posted is, that he is home with home therapy, trying to get him to walk with out help. He said he can walk about 80 steps with help, but not much on his own.

I'll have to check on parking lot thread I guess as I have been wondering how Ernie was doing.

Northern California has been getting some of our rain. It is just like spring days here and so far I haven't seen any sign of El Nino. Those tomato blossoms on the brush behind the garage aren't producing anything so guess I better forget about any tomatoes, but get a few zucchini now and then. Plant is going to give up soon.
