MERRY CHRISTMAS
Suite 316 Sweet Interruptions
Hope it has been the best one ever for all!!!! Merry Christmas from Barb and Norm.....
Merry Christmas late!!!
Christmas is over and I'm wishing all my DG friends a healthy & happy new year. Been feeling a little sorry for myself, but have to get over the pity parties. Did get a call from my sister in New York and she will be coming home next week. She did helped out with her family and soon Grace will be doing therapy with a new leg. What a positive attitude she has, never met anyone like her.
Susan, how are things progressing with the two of you?
Jaye, I'm missing her as I know all the rest of you are too.
I sure do miss Jaye. Hope she was able to enjoy the holiday....
I miss her too. I will have to try and call her later to see how she is doing.
'tis the season... I still can't get rid of my Crud, either! Hope Jaye feels better and is back with us soon. If anyone chats with Betty, mention that I'm thinking about her!
I hope you are feeling better soon Kathy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sue, hope your day is great.
I was worried about glacouma and cataracts for a long time now, but had my eyes examined yesterday and the pressure behind my eyes is good and cataracts are growing slowly. Nothing to worry about yet. New glasses will be ready in 2 weeks and going to transition lens. I hope I am happy with them. Got a good benefit from my medical so I'm happy about that too. Everyone who has had cataract surgery say they can see so much better, but it still is scary.
Thinking about it is scary Peg. The actual procedure is not bad at all, trust me i had both done an was soooo close to backing out but very glad I didn't. No way to convince you, you'll have to see for yourself.
I had both done too Pegi and it was a walk in the park, piece of cake and easy as pie... And the results are amazing.....
How are you doing Linda? Keeping you in my prayers every day....
Still walking very slowly. I can't wit for surgery on Feb. 22nd.
I am glad we don't have icy weather here. Just a light frost in the mornings.
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year!
Wishing all my sistahs a very Happy, Blessed & Healthy New Year.
We are having some very cold weather for us, but sun shines every day. As I walk with Mandy I notice so many trees out to the curb for pick up and so many decorations are down. I did put up my small tree, but took it down and it is ready to store away for another year. No New Year resolutions as I couldn't keep them any way, I just procrastinate too much. Tomato plant in back of garage is still putting out blossoms and zucchini plant in front is producing enough zucchinis me. Seems they like the cooler weather.
Enjoy those tomatoes and zucchinis.
Ooooh jealous love both maters and zucchini.
A very Happy New Year to all Dear Friends.
Oh dear~~~ are my beloveds protesting to my absence, hence this comumbulated navigation?? Sorry family, this is punishment enough for my non cooperating sight~~~and DIMINISHING braincells!!!
Thank the Gods that be, no ads, think I had done something right in the previous DG life! Lol.
Merry Christmas, hope Santa made you all happy.
Happy 2016
I thank you all for the prayers, and God is good, for I will be having surgery on the 5th for right eye, and Feb. 2nd for left eye.
Praise God, the newer insulin is working, and so does VIctoza.
The doctor wanted to take a look at my chronic sinusitus, and had written up a CTscan for my face, but Medicaid rejected that.
Had to stay away from reading, as severe pain and pressure would ensue over my right eye. So that includes laying the Kindle down. Using the biggest font frustrates me, as the page will only display a sentence at a time!! Lol.
Stayed away from the other social media too.. anything that involves letters~
and sadly, stayed away from quilting as I was making so many cutting errors.
It is difficult to navigate this new format and requires much abstaining from cussing!!! And I too see duplicate postings, unnecessary eye strain there!
Again, Happy New Year family, and welcome Stillwood!
Oh Jaye, so happy to see you, we missed you so much. Keep us posted as best you can.So glad eyes are getting fixed. We're trying to hang in here through all this idiocy.
Happy new year dear sistahs!
Peace, health and prosperity is my wish for all for 2016!!!
So happy to see you posting Jaye, glad you are having the surgery on eyes. Thank God for good news in the new year. You will be back to your quilting soon. Still don't like this format either.
I'm not a one for change so it is hard to try and keep up with everything.
Just a walk in the park, eh Barb... Karen?
Cataracts surgery.
Thank you both for not addng on any fears I may have.
The surgeries are necessary and I won't be scared.
So Pegi, take care of your sight please.
So far I don't like this format.
Are they trying to get rid of chat.
It costs us twenty a year which we deemed worth it
for those that can't garden anymore, and to stay in
touch with the ones we hold so dear here.
I understand that the old format is history,
hope this isn't set in stone.
I have till July to reconsider renewing,
hope by then it has improved a thousand fold!!
I love you guys and hang on to my phone number and
address if any isnt yet a member of FB.
So glad to see you posting Jaye, I know your vision is bad, so post when you can, or I will call you now and then to check on you to make sure you are doing OK!
Sending prayers for your eye surgery.
Jaye, I don't think there was anyone more frightened than I at the thought of cataract surgery. Once the first was done, I was eager to get the second.
Thank you so much LK, I look forward to calls when the phone workS!
Always good to laugh along with a sistah!
If I can drive myself to that surgery,
an hour and a half away, I will Karen.
Kel was humbled to offer himself to be my chauffer
for the next three appointments,
after my church sister volunteered to take
days off work to bring me.
And I am now comforted that there is nothing to fear.
My eyedrop regime starts tomorrow.
Guess that will be the easiest part.
I believe you Must have someone with you. So either Kel or your church friend needs to go. They might not do the procedure if you are alone.
Sooooo happy to see a post from you Jaye. Sending you hugs.
Indeed Karen, main stipulation, I need a driver and escort for all visits!
Thanks Thunder! Happy to be here too, and I can say that I miss the chatter.
First day regime of eye drops. As noted, the easiest part.
It's supposed to be in the 40s last night, but was 70s instead.
This morning, plummeted to the 50s and now 40s.
I don't know whether I had mentioned that I lost more cats to wild dogs before Thanksgiving.
I lost MuddinMan too, he never recovered from his amputation.
Oh well, plenty of friends in Jaye's Farmville Heaven!
Have a happy Sunday
Wishing You a Wonderful Happy New year Sistahs.
Huge smile, Hiya Sistah, so glad to see you. Yay, time to take care of you.
Glad all is working out well.
Sorry to hear you lost more cats Jaye. ((((((((HUGS))))))))))))
Hey Judy. How are you doing?
Today it is sunny and warm, around 67 degrees. Almost all of the decorations are down throughout the neighborhood. Lots of trees at the curb waiting for pick up.
Tomorrow I can pick up my new glasses and make a trip to the bank since it is on the way. Getting a very slow start on what I want to get done here. Oh well, can't push an old lady very fast.
Got a new Burpee catalog in the mail so guess they are getting us ready for gardening.
I hear ya on getting slow.
Jaye, sending prayers with you tomorrow as you go through your eye surgery. Let us know how you like your new vision.
Hugs Jaye.
Today is "piece of cake" day Jaye. Can't wait to hear how you are doing.
Happy New Year and I'm sorry I didn't wake up and look here to see what was going on. This not posting last times on the home page is very discouraging as that was what we looked for.
Jaye, I hope all went well. Soon you will be back to reading on the kindle.
Wasn't going to pick up my new glasses because it was raining, but by the time we were ready to go it was just misting. Well, got to the bank, got my glasses and got a few groceries at the 99 cent store. Strange how some places get buckets of rain and here we are waiting for more. It can rain now that my errands are done for a while. Most lawns are brown throughout the neighborhood so hoping a few rainy days will start the green showing through.
I heard on the news that most of California was getting lots of rain, and is expecting more.
Good Morning,
Jaye, hope the surgery went well. Soon you'll be able to see with ease.
Hey Linda Kay...Things are busy already and getting crazier by the minutes, lol.
But trying to take breaths and keep my girl calm, wedding 5 months away.
Oh boy, now all the plans will start falling into place. Don't forget to take pictures, get that camera charged.
Jaye, I hope you slept well last night.
We are getting our much needed rain, just hope there are no mud slides. It was drying up so thought Mandy would have a short walk, but then it started raining again. So today is a lazy day, that leaves more time for reading and computing.
Hello Everyone!!!
Hoping Jaye's eye surgery went well. Yup Pegi we got rain and LOTS of it!!! It's been raining for 3 days now with a little break tomorrow and Friday, then rain Saturday, a break for 3 days then another round of rain. All the fish ponds are overflowing, my 100 gallon water trough is overflowing. Wished I would of gotten the rain barrels I kept I was going to get, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr they would be full too. The Sierra's have TONS of snow! Haven't been doing much, but I did manage to get bedrooms swapped. The craft room was the biggest room and my room was so tight with a King size bed so I swapped. I now have room to move around and do exercises. I am back on my diet going to lose 27 pounds before Spring. I had lost 33 lbs back 2014, then Doug and I split and I went into deep depression and gained back 19. So this is a new year for a new ME!!! My brother will be going before the parole board again March 3rd. If he is found suitable he will be home around July, but will have to go into transitional house for at least 6 months. I am hoping that by Feb of 2017 I will be able to get my own place. It's my brother's turn to care for Mom.
