I hate to shop !!!! Warren loved to shop...in the grocery store. He loved perusing the goods. It didn't matter what town/city he was in he headed for the grocery store once he was checked into the hotel. One year he did Balls Falls on our Thanksgiving weekend. He bought more than 1 turkey and told other artisans so the IGA had a run on turkeys... much more than they thought I am sure.

Just spent 1 hour and 45 min waiting for my MRI appointment. This place you are usually in before your scheduled time or right on the dot. There was no point in getting agitated about the wait it just make as waiting time go slower.They finally brought me back to the change room and I could see and hear what their problem was. There was a young lady late teens early 20's who initially refused to take all of her piercings - she had several. Then they had trouble getting the dye in her veins. The tech finally got another tech and she failed too. They ended up putting the needle in her foot. I didn't say a word as I am terrible to find veins on. I drank lots and lots of water before I left. The tech got it the first time and I asked her is it in. When she said yes I told I am very hard to get a needle in so you did more than a good job. I could tell she was shaken by the previous appointment.

Block party sounds great Betty. We used to get together here on the lane at least twice a year. It was a great time however if I don't plan it there would be none.

Karen you will get itchy feet staying home. Hope your doc appointments go well.

Brianna did a great job. You must have felt pretty proud of her Betty.

M did you say Gord was a retired fireman?

Just got back home from LQS. Owner was very accommodating about making the switch for me. I know I will really love the Go Big die cutter and it being electric will make it so much easier for me. I'm making myself behave as far as buying dies. I got the Qube which should keep me out of mischief for a good long while. I also bought the strip cutter as I can see me using it quite a bit. I don't feel bad as my sewing machine and serger are both from 1985 so I don't mind spending on something like the cutter. I do spend a lot on fabric, but I end up using it.

Gotta tell ya Betty .. once 3pm hits .. the temp plummets !
But, it sure was a splendiferous day here :-)

Yes Dianne, DH was a firefighter/paramedic .. .. he loved the firefighting, but, when the paramedic designation came along, he put in 3 more years and retired at 55 ..

Karen .. your goodies sound awesome, and, makes your work less tedious ?

I have B A D veins .. when I get a good lab tech, I will usually ask for them again if possible ..
Piercings! So many, in SO many places, and, hard to replace once removed I would imagine ..

My veins are so bad that sometimes when I had a MRI at KGH they got 1 of the nurses in the Cancer Center to come over and do it. The nurse here in the village can never get blood from me.

Its cold here too Betty. They are calling for rain/freezing rain tomorrow.

Just about finished with my Santa Warren parcel. I decided I would try and get everything here in the village. Well it is a challenge but I think tomorrow I will be ready to mail it. I feel very strongly about trying to keep the local stores open. We don't have many - most of the main street stores have closed.

Diesel is crying at the door so I best get going.

Greg just left, I had 3 projects for him, closet door,outside light and wall mount new tv in craft room, he checked the old one, said nothing was wrong with it, I had volume on itself the highest then with remote when I put it mid stream it was humming, oh well, updated to a flatscreen vs those heavy ones.

Told him that the TV in the room on uses has to be replaced, he checked it, told me it had something to do with analogue, just got to Rogers next time I'm in town and get the box as he says is free..we checked the family room downstairs and it's the same, showing aquarium as the bedroom so guess I need 2 boxes..

He can't figure out why I need a tv inebpvery room..men

Should have spent the evening cleaning the craft room but it can wait till morning, gals don't get here till 9am

The UPS guy came as Jim was leaving for work, before I got home from MIL and the grocery.

Since it was pouring down rain and Jim was already at the end of the driveway, he put the package in his car, thinking he would catch me at the grocery...sigh. I stopped at the pharmacy and we missed each other.

So, I will have to wait til Tuesday to open my Santa Warren... sigh...Lots of an--tic--i--pation although Jim did offer to open and tell me what was inside....Nonono.... hope he isn't late...

Was running through our back woods and came upon a fella having a bonfire in amongst the trees .. was furious with him as I thought he'd start a forest fire ..
NEVER will I eat a bran muffin BEFORE bed again, or, maybe it was the wine .. one glass andI have my own home theatre!

Betty .. I bought extended coverage insurance on my stove, washer and dryer and dishwasher ,, am flippin well happy I did too .. 6 weeks ago it was my dryer that went on the fritz, between it and the stove it would have been mega bux for repair.

Best find some 'twigs n bark' to eat, or,porridge ..

I was also getting nightmares, waking all hours of the night, changed my routine, take pain meds in morning and late afternoon, seem to be sleeping much better..must have been the pills, can't blame it on wine..isn't wine suppose to make you happy? Lol

Fun shopping, seeing as you are gong out early that'sshould help with the masses.

Got everything done that needed done, just have to set fire to the fire pit then enjoy a coffee, apple struddle until the gals arrive..even remembered to out a pit of coffee on for them

I always get a kick out of people saying I'll be there first thing in the morning, my first thing and their first thing don't jive, now I ask ' what time will you arrive' most times I get to say 'Ahhh late morning!'

Yell out 'breakfast is ready as you bang those pots and pans

When the kids come to visit, I tell them not to stay up late playing games, as we are early risers. When we get up, they are just going to bed. I tell them no you don't. I have things on my to do list. The next night they crash early.

Katie, sorry that things aren't working out for you and you are under more stress, has it to do with staying on in Mexico all year round? Think if you added all the time you've spent in USA side this past year you likely are close to 1/2 year? Prayers and hugs coming your way..when will you be heading home?

Ann did 3 glad bird houses ( only gluing to that) putting the hooks tomorrow, Aline put finishing touches to 2 runners she did last Christmas and added binding, June did a pot holder set, Rita came to chat, pat called, she up just got back from Florida, be joining us next week, and I did a Christmas sock

Just cooking grilled cheese, have some running around to do in town later this aft, was going to cook a pork loin I bought Sunday but instead I will pick up Chinese..think I need a treat

Ohh Aline brought in the tasties little deserts, we all were looking for more so she is going to bring recipe Thursday...I will shop for ingredients and see if I can make them without burning them

Good Afternoon. Thought I would be able to post from nursing home...nope their wifi is down. All along the main road and into our area, the electric company has bucket trucks scattered.

It is raining off and on so that is slowing things down. The state is widening Hwy 42, the main highway in and out for my area. The rain we have had of late has caused delays, and a few temporary poles to shift a bit. Also a few trees have branches brushing the lines. Result...every time a strong gust of wind comes through, it causes power flickers and in some areas outages.

Brave souls working with electricity and rain.

Marilynne, again, thank you. I had to laugh when I saw the box went through Fargo...one of my favorite strange movies and now a series go by that name.
