A mushroom?

yep, because they are in some of the other pots too, that won't hurt the plants will they?

I doubt it, when they appear in my pots I just break them off.

They seem to fall over on their own, I just was hoping that it was not something that would harm the plants.

Poinsettas, my neighbor brought me a rather large one, you should have seen the scrambling I had to do to put it in a good spot. I have it under the flourescent lights on my computer desk, had to put my frosty fern on the top shelf of the desk, so hopefully it will be alright there. I read that the poinsetta could be grown year round, I am going to try to mimic the conditions to get it to bloom again, if I can't maintain the schedule of light and dark, I will just keep it green, that would be a miracle for me. Here is a picture of the one he brought me.

My Paperwhites that my hubby got me are really growing now! I have one that is blooming as I type this, here is a picture of it, I was going to try the alcohlol trick to get them to grow short, but this one took it on itself to bloom while it is short. It is pretty though don't you think?

I was wondering, is this alright for the frosty clubmoss? I don't have anything to put it in or put over it, so I was wonering if this is alright. One page says mist it to help with humidity, and one page says don't mist. I have water in the pan and it is sitting on a piece of plastic so it don't get in the water. The fern is standing straight up, is that normal? We have two pans of water on the pellet stove which helps with the humidity. Any advice would be great. It is also sitting partially under a very large poinsettia, which keeps it shaded.

My hubby got me a misting bottle, now I can mist the frosty fern when it needs it, and also I can mist my spider plant which is doing quite well actually. Also the two poinsettias that my neighbor gave me are starting to get new leaves on them. It will be nice to have them as houseplants, but I don't think I am going to try to get them or the big one to bloom next year, I think I will just leave them green.
