(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thats good news! YAY. take it nice and slow until then.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Marti sorry to hear about the set back. But congrats on going back to work. Take care.
everyones gardens are looking so nice for the spring. I do have things coming up some little spring flowers and daffys pushing thru. Still way to early for lots of things. Still freezing overnight. But it is so great having the sunny and warmer weather. We thought it would never happen. So happy.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Taters, the pulled muscle is still giving me some trouble, but I'm working with PT and taking it easy. The surgeon was not concerned about it at all.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear that. Just take it easy.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

ok Jordan I just caught a glimpse of had chest pains? what was up with that!!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

She pulled a muscle in her chest, by over doing it!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

went to dollar general, talked theem into selling mr 7 roses for 2.500 each. that's 2.00 off. they have 20 more, told me to call later, he's going to try to get them for me for a dollar a piece if I take all 20.

went to the gym today, first time in days.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW! That is a great deal Kathy!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

wow! you have room for a lot of roses! Nice! I have lost 6 of my hybrid tea roses.. I had mr lincoln, american eagle, double delight, and a wonderful hot neon peach, but they are history.
I still have my angel face, the trailing mauve rose, and the red mini roses that act like a vine, and a nice yellow that was a mini that turned big. oh we can't forget Carribia. Okay so I guess I still have a few roses, now I have made myself feel better already LOL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

mini roses grow good if you give them the room to grow

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

yes u r right, Kathy. Gee, went to the gym, havn't been there for a few days? I havn't been to a gym in about 20 years LOL

So, we didn't get any rain, no hail, no nuffin' and they shut down schools early yesterday afternoon cuz of the threat of tornadoes, which didn't happen. The sirens went off in the county at about 9pm,.,,, then found out today that it was a test run, ( while on a tornadoe watch /warning that was active) so now when they go off we will all think it is a test run. :P
The neighbors and I were out at midnight watering, while we watched the thunder and lightening up north going on.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

You are out at midnight watering, and you get up early for work? How do you do it?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

went to the gym, paid to get daughters truck fixed, went grocery shopping, took daughter to the dr.
I have my first clematis blooming. not a very good picture, but when the swamp get out of my yard I will get a better one.

I have a double hibiscus tree my DD got for me a few years ago. I have to bring it in every winter so I trim it way back first. Just before we left, it started blooming. Early for it and I hate missing it, but it will bloom more when it goes outside later on.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Happy Birthday Debra!!!

Tax season is almost over thank goodness! Weeds are growing like crazy...

I had today off so I did go plant shopping...lol I really didn't buy much. I did buy a coconut that is growing...lol. I am going to plant it in the city planter...that should cause some remarks...lol

Sounds like everyone is doing good. Just have a sec and wanted to say hi....Debra it showed storms over Wichita. Hope you are just getting rain.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

hi all it is raining now, it was raining when I left Kansas City this am too. I had a great time with Bonnie the first night of my birthday weekend and KayJones the second night..
Bonnie has finally sold her house, she is planning on moving to Independence, Mo. Her shrub out front is to die for.. I think she said weigalia? I hope she gets cuttings started for me, she only has a few plants left now, her yard looks so empty..last pic is my wild tulip bloomed open
I am glad you are getting some color now Kathy.
By the way, both of these ladies are former DG'rs, they don't go to any other gardening site now, and we are still friends.

Glad you had a good week end. I searched for weigela, and I don't think that is it? There were no pictures of that bush in purple? They were all pink, red or white.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

azalea perhaps?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think it is a rhododendron?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I believe Rhododendrons have larger leaves. although I have seen them under each others names. Flowers are similar, maybe the name is a regional thing?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I can't remember.. I was brain froze by the beauty of it. I for sure would not be leaving it LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

All Azaleas are Rhoddies, but not all Rhoddies are Azaleas.

I had no idea! Thanks for the link.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Is it any wonder we have so much trouble figuring out who is who in the garden? GRIN

You are very welcome, LK...we got your TS this morning...weather guys say rain through Wednesday . Those April showers...Lalalala...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope you had no damage from the storm.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Thanks, none to speak of...a few dead twigs and small branches. My biggest worry is getting some bulbs and other things in the ground. I wish DH would ask before he surprises me with things like that...LOL We have a lot to put in pots since the ground is so wet right now. We have already had a good 16+ inches of rain this year and they are saying a possible 2-4 more this week. guess we should try sending some California way...grin

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I wish they could develop a pipeline from all the places that are too wet to all the places that are too dry..

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Dang I am so sorry I missed you! I am working nonstop until after tax season. I want to meet you all when you come back up..... dang I am sorry I missed you.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

I need to say good bye to everyone. My subscription is up soon and I don't have the money this month to pay for it. I will miss you all. I am healing from my knee surgery and my pinched sciratic nerve. Hopefully will go back to work by the end of April.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Marti, you need to check your D-mail.
