(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So far all you gave me is doing good. They loved the 2 days of rain we had a few days ago!

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Taters, I would love some mexican petunia. Do you think it will grow in zone 6b?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Not for sure if it would come back for you, but I would be glad to send you some. Send me your address in a message, and I will get some out to you! Maybe keep it in a large pot, and bring it in for the winter?

Hi everyone! Looking so forward to end of tax season. I have daffs and crocus in bloom. Otherwise not much blooming. Be glad when it is warm enough to throw everything outside.

Our papercrete workshop went over great, had over 29 people there. We are going to make pots at our next meeting to sell at our plant sale. Then we are thinking about doing a fund raiser showing people how to make the and charge folks. Maybe as a money maker for me I will make some and sell at farmers market.

First pic is of one I did before class, second is of the 4H kiddos, and last is a couple of our Master Gardeners making pots, and the oval one I make about a year ago.

Had a neighbor of a friend give me a bunch of really nice pots. One is huge and orange, beautiful. Would be great for succulents.

Well just wanted to drop by and check on you all. Later

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Hey does your emma crinum bloom fall over? Mine always does, the bloom gets so BIG and extended so far out.

Our fruit trees are just breaking dormancy....oh to have orange tree!

We planted bunches of pear apple plum trees two years ago II think. We should of pruned this spring but we didn;t.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

so far, Joyce, Queen Emma just keeps popping her flowers open.. it is a HUGE plant now, taking it up to Lee's Summit to her new owner, KayJones ( Jo McFall. )

The EE's from you are all standing pretty,.,,, I am anxious to get them into their outside bed. Still too cold for any of that. :P

My Old Fashioned Pear is still not bloomed, but when the red bud pops out, so will it. It will be nice if I get at least 1 pear from it this year, the squirrels love those things.
Joe assembled my newest arch finally. I had left a three page Honey Do list on the counter the night before, he scratched two things off of it last night :)
( Have to keep him busy , since he is retired, and I am not)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

yes, I fought with the squirrels last year over my pears. the neighbors sheep too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Well, I had our first hummer in my hands last night. I had a feeder in my hand, and the hummer came right up, and landed on the feeder, and just sat there drinking his nectar. I will take the camera out this afternoon, and try to get a picture.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Update! I'm getting around almost normally from my knee surgery. Still having some problem with pain, but nothiing I can't handle. I now have sine friends living with me. Tom and Renee and thier 18 yr old son who has a problem with some brain damage from fight when he was in high school. He keeps mostly to himself and is a nice kid. Tom crawled around under my trailer and fixed all the broken pipes so we have water back in the trailer and Renee has taken over the kichen for meals and cleaning. Now that I'm getting around better I'm picking up and helping when and where I can. They are staying with me to save money to get thier own place. I will miss them when they move out.
I see the surgery on April 2 and am going to get him to release me to go back to work even if it's only part time. Of course I only work 21 hours a week anyway, but instead of working 7 hrs a day I'll tell him I'll do 4 hours a day/5 days a week.a

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So glad to hear you are healing up good, and also nice to hear you have someone there to help you out Mary. You should have no problem going back to work!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

so happy to hear that. Recovery has been good for you.
SO happy you had a hummer in your hand, LK. I have never done that. Rose came over today and turned the compost, moves some heavy things, brought up some huge pots for me. She got her workout for the day, and I sat on my bum and picked leaves and sycamore balls out of my garden beds, found my Virginia blue bells about to bloom on the other side of the fence! *sigh*

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Wow Linda Kay a hummer in your hand my Mom would of been tickled pink if that would of happened to her. I would to actually!!

My hours this week are cut way back, but the following week look out. I will be glad when it is over except for missing the money.

LOL I thought you were meeting the other secret person in Independence Debbie. lol I still want to see you all! Glad the ee's are doing good. Everything in the solar room has some kind of bug I will be so GLAD when I can drag this stuff outside.....

Sound s like everyone is doing good.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I went and bought another apple tree, another peach tree, a Persian lilac, and a ann magnolia.
then went to the hospital cuz I was having chest pains

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

After posting how good I was doing on the 29th, I turned around and hurt my leg late that afternoon. I have been so afraid that I broke something loose but PT thinks that what I did was pop the muscle in my upper thigh. Whatever I did, I am back on the walker when trying to walk and having some real pain when I try to bend the knee, but the pain is in the mid thigh. May not be able to go back to work as planned. Darn!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OH NO! So sorry Mary. I hope it heals quickly.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Glad to hear your knee is healing Mary. So sorry you had a setback with your thigh, be careful and feel better soon.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Kathy, did you go to the dr? worry about you girl.
Mary, u sposed to take it easy!
that is an order! :)
I graduated from PT, but it looks like those visits are 140.00 a pop holy cow! good thing I have insurance.. what a racket! ( Mine was like going to a small gymnasium place)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Amazing what they charge for PT!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh yeal, and for 45 minutes too.. I am in the wrong profession. :P
They gave me a graduation tshirt and a ball, tho.
I just wish I could smell, I bet Kathy's yard smells wonderful with all those trees.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Thanks everyone. I pull the muscle getting into bed just like I've been doing for the past 5 weeks, so am very upset at hurting my leg.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Debra, They smell sooo good!

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Saw the surgeon today and he gave me permission to go back to work next week.
