That's good if you want to make 45 quarts of jam. LOL
single recipe is: 2 cups mashed berries, 4 cups sugar, 2 tbs. lemon juice and 1 packet Certo.
I prefer Certo as it is already liquid. If you use Sure Gel, you have to mix with water and cook..extra step you don't need.

Wish we could get strawberries like that.
Same here, have to wait until berry picking time late June
Let riley out now I have to wait until she comes home for the night...worse than having teens lol
Jam we made now, I just bought a bag of frozen berries.
Karen, Is this the strawberry jam you put in the freezer? I used to make that kind.
Yes it is. It's the only kind we make, tastes so good and fresh. Plus so much easier.
Morning all, coffee, toast and cranberry jam awaits you, sorry Karen, no homemade, you will have to take a jar of your out!
Cold, were calling for freezing rain but luckily didn't happen
Playing with a quilt or two today
Post office a must, been waiting for a pattern I ordered about three weeks ago, still hasn't arrived
Debbie, how was Shane's birthday supper?
Went to my first class at my doctor's office. She has a trainer working with her who teaches kickboxing. I've been doing one on one sessions once a week, he just started an evening class. That was a lot more intense than the one on one sessions I've had. Knees are a bit stiff and sore this morning. Fun class though, there were only 7 of us, from late 40's to early 70's, it really must have been a sight! A bunch of old ladies punching and kicking the bags! I'm hoping to get in shape so I can run around the dog show ring, losing some weight would be nice, too! But, I think I'm going to be hobbling around the office this morning, until I work this stiffness out of my knees!
Betty, how is Noah doing? You haven't given us an update lately!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!
Snowing to beat the band here .. depressing, but, kinda pretty too ..
Just made 10 doz dog cookies .. have had the ingredients for 3 months , but, have put it off daily ..
They love the home made biscuits .. but, my hip is YELLING at me ..
Karen, I make freezer jam, maybe 12 jars each July .. DH goes and picks the berries and I do the deed .. gobsmacked last weekend when I opened a jar already opened and in the fridge, and, there was MOLD !!!!!!!!! Never happened before ..
Was going to attempt doing the Income Taxes .. but, for some reason, my printer isn't communicating with me today !!!
Wondering how Dianne, LK, Marion, Mary, Joyce and so many others are doing ..
Barb, how's the purse ..
Betty .. how is Noah getting along?
Off to package the biscuits !! Hope they freeze well ..
~M~
"M" try uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer. That usually works for me.
Just back from Cardio's office again. He wanted an Echo Cardiogram ....just in case. Of course nothing there. Grrrr. Not that I wanted something found but from now on I want a real specific reason for the tests or I'm refusing.
best you take all the tests you can get Karen, want to make sure what happened before doesn't happen again.
"M" I always put a thin layer of parrafin wax when I did jam
doggies will be pleased with their cookies
my brothe Mike had to put his dog down yesterday, a westie, 16 yrs old, sure are upset!
I'm not happy, shaking my head 'nope'
was doing my banking this morning, use credit card a lot for points, seeing as I've been in USA and with exchange a few times since I've balanced my accts and am leaving a week Friday thought I should do it.
Seemed to be out $200 so called Visa, he checked entries
yesterday I got gas at a Huskie Gas station, never put my c.c. in the pump to pay but a young lad said it was easy..ok..told him to put $25. in (I'd fill it in Elmvale over the weekend as it's about 10 cents cheaper), he ran it over to $27.87, said sorry, that was ok...
called Visa, seems they charged me $200
drove over to Huskie, saw same young man, said but 'we get pre-approval for $200 and after 24 hours what you don't use goes back on your card' excuse me???? I said my car to fill is no more than $45 'yep he says, but our pumps don't know what kind of car you drive so we charge it then it gets re-issued'
Imagine
OH NO! Betty, I would be so mad, and I would never go to that lace again!
"M", I am here, still hurting, but trying to live with it. I have been trying to get my roses out of the post and in the new bed, but that is going really slow. I get 2 or 3 done, and have to stop.
Karen, seems the Dr.s make money with all the test, and blood work they order. My Arthritis Dr, ordered blood work once a month for the 1st 3 months I saw him, the 4th month he gave me a slip for more and I asked him why? He said he had to keep watch to make sure the meds are doing what they are supposed to be doing. I told him, I could tell him for free, that they are not working, as I am still in pain. I told him I would not do any more blood work.
Betty Yikes on that fuel charge ? that doesn't seem like a good idea ? that station has. ?
well i m pretty emotional today.
I thought Sharon Cook got out of prison tomorrow. I have been working this out in my head. Stressed about it for several weeks and had an anxiety attack and a panick attack. Long story short . Tom and i got into a argument this morning. He had to go to work early on short notice, with out telling me... ok... I made a fuss.
So he agreed to come back tonight so he could be with me tomorrow. ok .
well just checked online but no luck with the victims notification alert system the state has .
called the number and after 20 min of trying to type in the info with no luck i get a human. well guess who got out of prison march 12 ! ? yep she sure did. I was supposed to be notified i told the customer rep this . They had all the wrong info on me grrrrrrr. so i didn't get notified.wrong numbers wrong address everything ? !
I feel like such a jerk. making such a fuss to Tom . He has my car too LOL . uhg. so he has to come back tonight when he really doesn't need too. 90 ,mile drive ! .
I'm not personally involved Sue and I'm upset about her getting out of jail so can just imagine how you must feel..it's bound to be an emotional time, if Tom doesn't understand that then he's not the man for you. Don't berate yourself, apologize and say I'm sorry
What's with the judicial system that one could be involved in a murder, do what they did with Jessica's body, getting away after so little time??? even if she was involved after the fact she should have gotten many years
grrrr makes me so *&^%&^ angry
hugs
This message was edited Mar 25, 2015 2:42 PM
I agree Betty, the judicial system is not fair. Someone that does what she did gets out in just a few years, while someone who smokes marijuana, can get life! Not fair!
Betty,how is Noah doing?
Greg says not bad, haven't seen him since I was at his house
leaving it for a bit, don't want to say what I want to say at this time
think he's having a teacher teach at home till end of next month, hardly worth going back to school, perhaps they will continue his lessons until school gets out in May.
know he's wanting to get back to work but can't lift anything more than 5 lbs specialist says for 6 months then doc will review and decide what comes next. Trial was remanded, to be expected...
Shane liked his dinner, and special dessert. My kids don't really like cake, so we usually
end up wit a pie, cheese cake or something. He choose raspberry pretzel dessert and although sweet, was really good.
Had a rainy day and driving back from Rochester, was not fun. Glad it was not snow though.
Have my doc appt. tomorrow late morning, so heading to bed early. I am beat.
Stay safe and healthy.....
Hugs
Debbie
Judy, I just read that Chicago area had an earthquake! Are you OK?
http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/29M--Earthquake-Shakes-Chicago-Area-297592221.html
Debbie, good luck with your Dr. tomorrow.
Thank you....
Just saw that on the earth quake also. 2.9 is really low, so hope all is well.
Sweet dreams
Morning all,
plus 3 this a.m. not short/short weather but I'll take it!
Judy, glad it wasn't stronger, unusual to have quakes so far north but have had a few over the past few years, hope all is well in your neighborhood
Safe travels Debbie, will you get reports on the tests today? Shane going with you?
Couldn't sleep, had a few rows of a neck warmer to do, did it, that makes 3, aiming for 12 this year..must get to the reserve for deer hyde so I can completely finish them.
Few more blocks to do on the bordered periwinkle quilt so will play with that this morning and who knows, I just might get outside and see if there is anything I can do..have a few totes with xmas things on back deck, maybe I can get them into back shed
hope you've all something more exciting to do than I
Best of luck Debbie .. sure hope you get some answers.
LK .. still hanging in with the back and shoulders? DH once had a cortisone shot to his R knee .. thought it hadn't ben effective, but, a week or 10 days following in, he noticed a decrease in pain .. hope that happens for you ..
2.9 isn't too bad for a 'shaker' .. Lorna remembers one in her hometown just southeast of Betty that cracked her parents front window .. I think it was in the 80s .. she was home alone, scared her but good ..
+ 17F here .. and .. all is covered in white .. about 2" of it ..blah !!!
A nursing classmate of mine passed away yesterday .. Donna had MS, funeral is Saturday at 3pm .. I think many members of our class will be going .. Donna was a very devout woman .. worked in Missions in Africa and the Sudan ..
MMMMMmmmmmmm .. raspberry pretzel dessert sounds good :-)
Not sure what's up today .. MAYBE a trip to town to Shoppers DrugMart .. seniors day ..
Nightmares again last night .. makes me waken so unsettled .. cripes, guess no more Werthers for me before I go to bed !!
TOODLES
~M~
"M", that would be nice if it starts feeling better. Time will tell. I am off to Dr. to get my pain meds filled. Now you have to see the Dr. everytime you need refills. More government control!!!
omg +17, you are so much north of me and here I am with +1
Dianne, Debbie and I will have to move north to get some of that nice weather.Sorry to hear of the passing of your friend "M", she'll be gabbing with the Lord for all her good works!
Same here LindaKay, can't get refills unless one sees their physician
reminds me, should call and see about xrays on knees
Susan, you feeling better?
This message was edited Mar 26, 2015 7:32 AM
No, going alone. Asked DH and he said "oh, its our monthly birthday luncheon." He can't miss his meal out with the guys at work. Shane worked all night and didn't get home til 4:00 a.m. from his shift, so he will sleep as he has to go back in a few hours after he wakes up.
He will go over reports, do another ekg, and decide if we go ahead with the angio or not.
Is about 30 and raining here. so, not too bad...but they say is going to turn to snow.
Hugs to all....
Shane's working Debbie, what wonderful news, does that mean he may not go back out west?
Well maybe going alone (providing no bad news) you can shop a bit or the very least look in shops. Mom was saying on the weekend, we must go to Rochester, better deals..is that right?
How is Sammy?
Drive safe
calling for snow later today, early tomorrow but not a whole lot
Sammy is driving me crazy. Pure puppy at 10 months of age, but providing lots of laughs along with the stress. Not giving up.
DS & gf are living with us for now, and I am good with that. Don't know what tomorrow will bring, but long as they are OK and healthy....I am good. His wisdom tooth surgery went well and he is on the mend. Likes his job and they like him.
As far as Rochester, is hit or miss, just like Buffalo. I like it better, but, is where I shop more now. If you decide you want to go that way, you can park cars here and I will take you around up there. My car holds more stuff too. hehehe
The Springtime in the Country craft show is this weekend at the Fair Grounds also.
Hugs
drats Debbie, wish I'd known, would have put off coming until this weekend..oh well, leaving a week tomorrow for Florida so might have been too much travelling.
Well if nothing more Sammy sure feels at home and as you say he's a pup..he truly is adorable, just too bad you aren't feeling 100% as I know you'd so enjoy him.
Here's hoping then that Shane decides to stay, would do the world of good for both of you.
playing with my yellow blocks, trying to decide if I want to sew them together into a top or leave them until tomorrow..as I'm typing this I'm thinking, maybe half today and half tomorrow lol
lots of melting going on, remind me if I ever move NOT to move at the bottom of a hill..that sump pump is working o/t..I called the plumbing company, his advice is every once in awhile unplug one pump and let the other work a bit..not going to do that, you know me, might forget about plugging it back in..but I do check the battery support system to make sure its charging just incase the electricity goes out..joys of owning your home..apartment living starting to appeal to me but where on earth would all my craft things go
Appointment didn't go great. Have to have angio next week. will know more later.
Sorry to hear that Debbie. Sending prayers.
Hugs Debbie ♡
hugs Debbie
Perhaps its for the better so that you can get back on your feet..you've not been feeling well for some time.
Sorry to hear that Debbie, but hopefully with the angio the doctors will get to the bottom of all your issues. Extra prayers being said, I'm sure you will feel extra stressed just waiting for the appointment.
Debbie, you will do fine ..
They'll check to see what valves are being naughty ..
The anticipation is the worst ... but, as always, even though all of us are 'invisible faeries' we WILL be there, with hugs and prayers ..
~M~
Hi - I'm here, feeling better, but now starting to cough - won't be going to choir practice tonight as I just started to get my voice back yesterday, and am babying it a lot..... tends to get scratchy easily.
Betty - caught that bit about gas station taking out $200 and returning the rest....... What if you'd been set to buy a new sewing machine, or go on a trip, or something very expensive for which you needed some of that $200? This is a TERRIBLE practice for the gas station to have. For someone, it might be their mortgage or rent payment........ I'm disgusted.
Sue - to have ALL the wrong info for you, and you to get no notification....... I'm beside myself with anger, and as Betty said - I'm not you, so can't begin to know how you feel!!
LK - sorry to hear you're in such pain........
Debbie - hope things go well with the angio - as Marilyn said, you'll do fine, and I'm sure it sounds worse than it really will be. Count me in as an "invisible faery" who'll be there with you
I just got an email from Michael's re: pattern took more wool than expected and had to buy more - they will mail (by post) a $20 gift cert for Michael's!! Yaaaaaaaaay! I could sure use it!
btw - temp here is 18c at the moment - nice and sunny, but oh my what Winds!!
Great response from michaels Susan! Did you finish the baby blankets?
Glad you are on the mend.
Another packed hospital room I see
LindaKay did you get new meds? Did doctor have anything to say re shots you had that aren't working?
Wonder how katie is doing, been awhile since we've had an update.
Was in a deep sleep, phone rang and now I'm wide awake.
Yes I got new meds, and he just said sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
I finished the first baby blanket, and had to wait to start the 2nd one until I knew what colours she wanted (blue/yellow for a baby boy, she says). Besides which - can't do 2 at once lol
I'm very pleased with Michael's response. More wool for me lol
Wool from Michael's & fabric from Fabricland........
Yeah, I wonder how katie is doing - it's been about a week since we've heard from her.
Guess whoever phoned didn't realize you might be napping......
LindaKay - did they say there would be a transition stage for the new meds to work properly for you?
