Brrrr it's a cold one, wind sure makes you want togethander into bed and cover up brrrr
Even Riley decided she only wanted to be out for a few seconds.

Going to have a quiet day, sew a bit, maybe finish a project or two

Sharon gave mom a bag of her daughter's clothing that doesn't fit her anymore, name brand..my cousin in midland will bring them to the islands when going at end of month so I might take a ride to town to drop them off

Other than that not much going on

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Frosty and dark here in the north ... daylight savings bites !!

Grocery shopping and some Hospice stuff on my agenda ..hoping to hear re Lorna's new Mule and it's arrival date out here.

Lorna will be thrilled when the new mule arrives..old one got her through the winter!
Sorry to hear aboutGord, did the doc advise him he can no longer take the prednisone?
Wouldn't it be nice "M" for all of us to have such a week.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Sigh .. the Mule will be ANOTHER week in arriving ..Lorna is SO patient about it ..
Grocery shopping was 'meh' .. price of beef and pork has sky rocketed .. paid $7.85 for 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef ON SALE !!

Stopped at Timmies then home to change and get outside with the dogs, BUT .. the wind from the lake is just SO damp and cold !! Lasted 40 minutes, and am in now to have a shower then start supper ..

We will have plenty of meat for the gathering. I have lots of venison.

Glenview, IL

Venison?? Ohwah! I'm there!

Hi everyone.Wow quite the nightmare I woke up to....awell it'll melt on Wednesday, hehehe, at least I hope.

Well, I've been kind of digging this laze mode I'm on. Went to the FB games and well, I'm a tiny bit addicted, sigh, I did have fun, lol still trying to figure out what I am doing.

Today, is my Mumma's Birthday! How I miss her. We had Dr. appts today. Went very well.

Armwrapping you all Up...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry about the nightmares Judy!
Glad the Dr. appts went well.
Happy Birthday to your Mom!

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

How much snow did ya get Judy?
Ours is to arrive on Wednesday, not lots, but, enough to cover the grass which is just showing again ..
Saw my first ROBIN yesterday :-)

Sorry to hear about your hip and back LK .. I sure do know how awful both are .. even after having had my R hip replaced I need a Percocet (Vicodin) at times.

Not sure what's up today.. perhaps more raking, play with the pups ..
Cold this morning .. maybe 18F

Off to coffee myself

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear you are still having pain "M"!

Sure wish I could send ya some of our heat. It is 64 this morning!

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, I'm not that far from Judy, so she probably got similar. It looked so pretty, though. Supposed to have rain tonight, back yard will be all mud for sure!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all
-18 here, now where "M" did you get your nice weather, bet those southern gals are sending it up to Judy,Deb and you. Weatherman says maybe freezing rain tomorrow
holy wah, still can't see much of the ground and you northern gals are raking, what's with that?

Sorry everyone is dealing with so much pain, no fun for sure..I haven't graduated to percocet yet, hoping not to.

girls are coming around 9:30 to do snowman runners so I was getting everything organized, now having breakfast and doing my hair..before you know it they will be here.

Judy, hugs, know your mom will be in your thoughts..no matter how long they've gone to be with our Lord we still miss and feel them with us.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

What a difference a few hours makes ..
DH brother is coming for lunch and a visit, and, the temps dropped .. I was going to wash some tops and put them on the line, but, the gate is frozen solid to the patio :-(
I was going to put hot water on it, but, DH said it'd freeze right away .. guess I'll wait til the weekend ..

One job we are doing for sure today is RETURN WINE BOTTLES!! Jeeze, I haven't drank wine for about a year, and I have at least 20-30 to return .. have had them bagged in the garage and just never think to haul them along into town .. but, now we can take them to Kakabeka Falls, a small community west of us, and a fella who owns a garage is the depot for them .. 10 cents a bottle I think .. Gord has a case of beer empties too, maybe we'll take them as well .. they are 2 years old ! Great drinkers huh .. NOT
I like a glass of good rye every so often .. straight up .. but, no one else drinks, so, why bother.

Best get movin ..
NEVER forget my Mum's BDay .. think of her daily .. my Dad too ..
That's what memories are all about :-)

I'm OK Linda, impatient with my self at times. So looking forward to going away for a while. I really need this. My cardiologist said to be more patient it will get better. He said look at me I had a double hip replacement and I'm doing great. I told him yes and you're 30 years younger and don't have diabetes and leukemia for crying out loud.

Sure sorry to read you're still in pain, it's so exhausting. Do wish a solution could be found for you. I haven't seen about your dad lately, how's he doing?

Lordy we are all a hurting it seems, prayers for all

Just love the photo's Judy..can't believe just how much Jakob's features are changing, I'd not likely have recognized him on the street.

Been sunny here but cold, not sure it made it out of the minus weather

Karen, how adorable is that, memories in the making

What a day in Santa's workshop
Girls got all 5 of their snowman blocks done, next week comes the borders, quilting they can do on their own!

I worked on a bordered periwinkle quilt, all quarters of the block are done, enough for today, tired and chilled..running hot bath, have some strawberry pudding cake just sitting there waiting for me to make a coffee and put feet up

Lk sorry to hear about the injections not working.
Judy cute cute cute pics of the birdies and the gardening family.
love the color periwinkle.
not much going on here

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Karen, Dad is doing really good, he seems to be liking the nursing home a lot. He has made a lot of friends there. He loves to kiss the nurses hands when they tuck him in bed at night! :)

Victoria Harbour, ON

smiling, think your dad is much like Joyce's dad, lordy he loved the ladies, what a sweet talker he was

how wonderful he loves the seniors complex and has friends, half the battle right? Sure wish my mom would consider looking for a place, just know she'd do well

Sure wish she could move in for a month as a trial. That might help her decide.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Awwww glad to hear it Linda.

Growing up the grands favorite memory up here is every year the 4th of July we made strawberry jam. All the kids took turns stirring & the adults did the rest. At the end of the weekend every one got their fair share of jam to take home. It would last them nearly a year. All are so spoiled, won't eat store bought.

Here's the recipe:
40 lbs. strawberries, 70 lbs sugar, 32 envelopes of Certo(2 per box), one quart lemon juice. 45- 4 cup containers.

There is a fruit processing place up here where we bought the strawberries. They came in 5 gallon buckets all cleaned and ready to use for the same price as pick your own.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm going to mark down that recipe Karen, tks

LindaKay, she spent 4 months in the fall when she broke her hip and did well, actually best I'd ever seen her mentally..positive attitude, put on weight
Praying hard they call her to say an apartment is available where aunt Muriel is

Thought I might get in my jammies and read a bit but somebody isn't ready to share my side of the bed
