Because you are watching him, he should have had respect enough to let you know too!
best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old &new
That he should, was just mentally getting back on my feet after the trauma of his stabbing and now this
Took another excedrin migraine hoping headache goes away.
Greg emailed me and said not to worry, he is out of control and it's all about him right now
Might later this aft put a quilt on the frame just to occupy my mind IF I'm feeling better
Taking mom to buffalo this weekend, don't wants out it off as I leave for Florida on the 3rd and then the weekend away shopping with my travel buds on the 17th
Will be slow moving with mom not moving too quickly but that will suit me fine
Guess I can make up another sewing list
Have a feeling Noah is pushing buttons as far as he dares just to see how far it takes him.
I just finished planting an orange tree and I'm dripping sweat. Getting late in the season to do transplanting which means when you all are enjoying your spring(s) I'll be whining about the heat and humidity. However, it's nice now.
I think handcuffs and a dungeon are in order for Noah, Bury them when they're twelve and dig them up when they're twenty-one someone suggested. Hope the snowmobile has been locked up safely. Boys that age tend to think with the "little head" if at all. Many don't survive but, of course, it's always others who are in danger - not me!!!! Very difficult to deal with, Betty, and I don't mean to make light of it. If he is doing things that are a danger to himself you may be able to take legal action if only to give him some time to heal and get his head settled a bit.
I'm getting appointments made and things organized. May be able to leave Friday. Car is ready; I'm not.
katie
Karen, she is beautiful. Sorry to hear you could not go for a visit.
Don't over do it Katie.
DAWG Betty .. what a position Noah has put you in .. I could go on and on, but, that's not going to help YOU ..
I would lay on an ACADEMY AWARD winning guilt trip when I next saw him ..
Happy BDay Susan, am hoping all with VS will be perfect.
Am thinking 'Beaver Tails" are usually sold at carnivals or fairs .. maybe in a big mall ??
AS always Katie, safe travels ..
In the throes of pumping off the water from the patio and back entrance way .. what a mess!!
AND, we had all 3 dogs groomed .. and, MUD all around ,,, pfffffttt ..
Off to make salads
~M~
Karen, I am Definitely going to enjoy this birthday. Many are "non-events" even though I LOVE birthdays, but this is definitely an Event! I'm So pleased with how things are going. 2 3/4 hours to go, and we'll be seeing Susan :-)
Beaver tails are also available at some bakeries - used to be able to get them all the time in Winnipeg. Never looked in Calgary....... but we have time - maybe in Banff! I know they have a great ice cream parlour, but likely not open this time of year.

What is a beaver tail?
Susan, are you going to show us your Birthday broach?
Please pray for my Grandson Dylan, he was taken to the ER last night, and they said he has Rotavirus. They had to put fluids in him with IVs. He is back home now, but still not doing very well.
Sending prayers. katie
Thank you Katie!
Sending prayers Linda Kay, hope he is able to overcome it and get better quickly!
Betty, It's so frustrating when kids do whatever they want on your watch, no wonder your head was hurting! Praying for you too and the family, that you be given the fortitude to deal with him.
Happy Birthday Susan!
Karen, Becca is adorable! I just want to hug her, lOL!
Katie, wishing you a safe and successful trip!
Lordy, prayers being said here as well LindaKay, poor wee one, never heard of rotavirus, must check it out
Clocks are a ticking susan, excitement mounting
"m" it's melting a tad too quickly here as well, let's hope with the system I put in there will be no flooding in the basement, just don't think I could handle it..hmmm you with clean dogs and me with a car wash..you'd never tell
Karen, so sorry you are missing out on so many special occasions, know it saddens you but just think had you not had the operation and in the process of recouping you'd not see all the loving that's to come over the next years. Are you feeling any better?
Katie, maybe you've got the answer. Lol.
No snowmobiles he couldn't use, not even his own...mel called him at his friends house, nice family, nice young man, they often get together, the problem is he should have told me. Yes, get the academy award statue out, I will indeed be worthy of it. Guess when we are freezing you have the great weather, when we have gorgeous weather you can't go out because of heat and humidity, guess we are even
Mom called and said aunt Muriel got her passport but mom said unless she can find someone to look after her pooch she won't be able to go to Buffalo this weekend so it's a wait and see
I wouldn't mind the staying at home.
Spent all day in bed then went to laundromat to put my comforter in large washer then dryer..worked out well, went and let Sophie and Ned out in the back yard, came back when washer ended, then went and did groceries and all was dry by the time I came back
Going to make my bed, have a TV dinner and try and stay up till at least 9pm so I can go and let the furries out again
I get to do it tomorrow morning and afternoon, by night time Greg/greg will be back, thank goodness
Thanks Terri
I keep reminding myself my cousin Larry who I was raised with was a hellion from the time he reached 10 to early 20's, nothing anyone could do with him, in his teens he hitched hacked to Mexico with a friend, stayed a year..nobody heard from him
Now he has the most wonderful wife and family, model citizen, guess he just outgrew his demons, I keep hoping same will happen to Noah
Had a nephew the same Betty, was such a hellion growing up- no one ever wanted to see him coming. Awesome guy now, great dad and granddad. I do give all the credit to his wonderful wife, as soon a she entered his life, he turned it around. So there is always hope.
Beaver Tails - http://www.beavertailsinc.com/
I see they're in Banff, so if the bakery is open, we'll be able to get one there :-)
Here's a couple of pictures of the broach.
Bob's heading home now, so we can pick up Susan - excited!!
Wow! That is beautiful, Susan! Have fun with your visiting Susan!
Gorgeous piece Susan
Karen, can only hope that is the case
Are you seeing signs of spring as well?
It's 63F here now - very nice out!
comparable to 70F in GA, so Susan won't get cold :-) And it's sunny out.......
Wow, what a great temp, she will feel right at home
Karen, how are you felling?
Susan, that is beautiful.
Susan happy birthday and have fun with Susan.
LK sorry about the poor guy. My kids had that virus, savannah was in hospital for 3 days. Austin was a bit stronger , its not a fun virus. sending healing prayers.
Karen Becca is adorable. so cute
went to a yoga class at the gym. , it wasn't a great class. $12 i will never get back
yes, Karen - are you taking it easy - DH still "doing" for you?
Susan, wishing you a VERY happy birthday and enjoyable time with your friend!!! Lots of smiles and laughs.
Katie, please travel safe and take care of yourself.
Betty, can't offer anything but hugs to you. Noah does need major intervention. He is going
to end up in jail...or worse. BIG BIG hugs.
Running on empty here, some health issues popping up....so just resting when I can.
Debbie
Susan has ARRIVED :-)))
and both of us, being addicted to computers, are plugged in and playing lol
Happy B Day Susan!
Lk I work at JB Hunt Transport. I think I'm about ready to start working on my own, but I still have issues navigating the 10 programs when someone calls. Don't know why I freeze solid.
Safe travels Katie, Vista's a nice area, enjoy the awesome weather!
I was kind of wild at 17, I was never home. I never called to let anyone know I was ok, I was just glad to be somewhat free. I was a Junior then, and nobody had cell phones yet, so I just made sure I was home by 10 on weeknights & had a good portion of my homework done, enuf to get a B or C average I was fine with it. I didn't go home on weekends either, had a boyfriend in a town 30 minutes away and that's where I was.
Yay Sue!! I really hope I can make it up there to the RU!
Betty I'm glad they'll be home soon, I'm worried about you.
Judy so glad you're getting paid! Ha!!
Debbie hope you get to feeling better!
waving to everyone & night night!!
Thank you to all those who wished me happy birthday, and helped make this one of the best birthdays I've had in many years :-)
:)
Morning all,
Went to let Sophie and Ned out, they were happy to see me., they were holding their legs ☺️One more trip this afternoon as Greg/Mel will be home around 10
Still cold nights -6 but promising higher temps so more snow will melt. Must look for lighter jacket to wear
Susan, omg after all that wait, the excitement of it all and you are on the computers, give your heads a shake. I once was somewhere that computer was more exciting than my visit, needless to say it was more than rude, made me feel like I was of no importance, there ended that friendship but that is me not saying it's you
Debbie, you didn't go fall again? Too much running after the puppy?
Crissy like many others, stories of their ill spend youth being who they've become today gives me hope..can't live lives for others as much as we would like for..he will have to be responsible for his actions, bad/good
Spent the entire day in bed except my trips to Greg's for furries, still a bit of a headache, took something and am hoping I can play a little.
Suzanne's youngest grandaughter keeps trying to steal her sister's little tote bag I made..Ariana uses it all the time..I've a bit of kiddy fabric so might try to make her one plus I've some knitting sitting here as well.
That is about all in my life today as all housework is done, hurrah
You sure have been having a lot of fog Sue, guess it the cold turning to warmth so quickly.
Just think, weekend is approaching and no sports, what will you do with all that free time
Hmmm maybe get that sewing machine out and read the manual?
FOG .. one of the weather conditions I hate even more than snow .. get almost claustrophobic driving in it.
Betty .. I hope your day goes quickly .. is the girl looking after the dogs still going over as planned, or, did you just take on the job?
Too much !
Sowing his 'wild oats' will likely land Noah in trouble, I just hope for all concerned that he is safe ..
Wonder how Dianne is doing?
We have the GREAT MELT of 2015 going on here .. have a sump pump running intermittently outside to get shed of the water flowing onto the patio from the 'hillier' property. And, MUD!
WHatcha got planned with VS today Susan ? Hopefully not all computer time :-)
Seems your temps in CowTown are great ..maybe Bowness Park ?
Katie .. guess your busy being busy, hope your feeling better ..
Nice to hear from Crissy, Judy ..
How ya doing Barb ?
OK, off to check the pump ..
OH .. wee Zoey has 'rumbly tummy', she's on DHs lap right now, but, I can hear her belly talkin over here, will give her a half a tums ..
TOODLES
~M~
How are you LindaK and Karen ?
"M" when Noah decided he didn't want to spend the week with Kyle and he'd stay at home and I spend time with him there was no need for her to come and stay, so when Noah left that left me looking after furries...they don't live far from me so it was easy to do..this afternoon will be my last visit over for Sophie and Ned.
Cold day, suppose to get colder as the day progresses
I'm concerned even though I just put in 2 pumps and a battery operated until..water is coming in as though I've left the tap on..I'm sure all this seepage is due to the neighbor putting gravel and water system around his house when he moved in..as soon as snow is gone I will have to do same..yuk-mega $$$..some of the earth that is removed for gravel can go to fill in one of the ponds, that will help cost.
Apartment living is starting to look pretty good about now
hope your day isn't filled getting ready with water
Lurking mostly. Reluctant to post as I'm still in a downer.
Morning everyone.
Karen, why are you still down?
Well, Dylan went back to the ER last night as he was throwing up blood, they kept him in the ER till 5 this morning and finally admitted him. Giving him IV fluids, and watching him closely.
Oh Linda so sorry for baby Dylan, sure hope they get him turned around quickly.
Thoughts and prayers for little Dylan ..
Hope he does well ..
Karen, once we get out of this horrible weather, and the sun shines on your face, you'll feel lots better ..
No water yet today .. just face biting damp WIND !!!!!!! Birds are feeding like mad ..
Making a banana loaf, my frozen banana ranch is running over !!!
TFN
~M~
Oh Linda kay, sorry to hear.
Sending prayers and gentle armwraps for Baby Dylan.
