Marilynne - so sorry to hear you've lost your friend........ it's not easy for you, I'm sure.

Betty - so thoughtful of Noah to worry about you worrying..... geeze, sounds like you have a "worrying type" of family :-) It's good that he's concerned about you and not all about him! Thinking about others is a gooooo-od thing.....!!!

That it is, yep did mean Karen

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Coming out of my legs was fine they are somewhat numb anyhow with the diabetes. The chest staples twanged a bit but nurse was very sweet, and waited until I nodded before going on. I like her very much and asked if I could request her for visits. She seemed pleased and said she would put in the request, shouldn't be a problem.

Good for Noah to think of you. Just tell him thanks you appreciate his thoughfulness and hope it continues. Milk that grandma card for all it's worth

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Happy BDay to Bob :-)
Sounds like a lovely supper !!

LK .. it's a Kawasaki Mule .. I'll see if I can find a pic of her in it .. it's like an ATV, but, more like a cart .. a 4x4 golf cart maybe, with a winch, plough blade, trailer hitch ..

Hope supper goes well Betty, and that Kyle comes home for the weekend ..

Karen must still be trying to recover /

Haven't heard a peep from Marion in a bit .. I sure wonder how her cruise went, hope her sister is OK ..

Not sure what happened to Marion, don't see her anywhere

Karen, bet you are glad to have that behind you, makes it better when the nurse is gentle..are you feeling a lot stronger?

We just ate, opened the door to bring in bags, grrrr Ned escaped, tried as I may I couldn't get him in..I'd walk 5 ft and he'd run 20. A neighbor came out, walked up and down the street and finally grabbed him..thank goodness..BAD Ned!

Noah and Matt went upstairs to play Xbox, dark down here but I'm going to try and hand sew then goot bed early.kyle Isco ing up but going to his girlfriends house for the night..has a n appt at dealership to get his coarser used at 8am then said he'd come by and see Noah for a bit

Sooo if Mother Nature co-operates and I can find an alarm clock around herei'll be on the road by 5:30

Betty Noah has so much love and people around him . He will be fine. :)
glad you got Ned back.
Karen i m sure you will be happy to get this all behind you. Your doing great ! I m such a whimp when it comes to those things.

I have to wait around for Savannah , taking her to a birthday party sleep over in cincy.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Exciting sue, you'll enjoy..will be nice to go out with Joyce..haven't seen her around, surely she is not out playing in the garden yet. Lol

No sooner did Matt leave that Shane came over, I'm hand sewing on a throw piece, almost done 1 but likely not start the 2nd.

Sitting looking at bad Ned, sound asleep dreaming of his run while Sophie dreams of being good and getting treats

Glad to hear the neighbors helped out.

mulege, Mexico

I'm still hanging in. Not very well. Dealing with a lot of abuse issues but can't talk about them here. Thanks for asking about me. katie

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Keep on hanging in Katie. Ya know we are all hanging with you...sending good positive energy your way.

Last time I touched base with Marion, she was physically okay and all was for the most going okay for her, her DD and her sister. She just had so much on her plate for so long, she was becoming "soul weary" and needed some time to repair herself.... sometimes we all just need to hear the silence for a while.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good to see you posting Katie - we'd miss you terribly if you didn't

Yeah, it's been too long since we've heard from Marion. I think about her often......

I'm getting anxious for my friend, Susan from Georga, to arrive on Wed evening - 5:45pm is when her plane arrives. We've been chatting on the phone and online since June 2013, and it's about time we meet!!! She should be getting her passport tomorrow, according to the tracking info. It's a 6 hr flight, so she's got a lot of "Kindle-ing" to do lol

Bob said that dinner was "lovely" and we really liked the new recipe of scalloped potatoes that I made (with bacon in it!!). The homemade sauce and rub for the ribs was good too. Heck, I even broke loose and had a small piece of carrot cake..... hello 16 lbs that I lost - missed you! (NOT). But.... when did I get married to someone so old?(65 lol!!!) I'm just a sweet young thing of 61 (as of March 11th)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Jean, thanks for the update

Katie, big hugs, sometimes life gets so complicated. Hope there is someone there helping you through it

Susan, so wonderful that Susan has flight plans, exciting for you
Now look at the benefits Bob will now get, i'h happy days. Lol

Wide awake, just peaked out the window, not snowing
I'll leave her at 4:30, go have a wash up and be at Suzanne's by 5:30

good morning everyone
not much going on here.
heading to Tom's in a bit.
Susan have fun with Susan LOL .
We have some warmer temps coming in 40's and 50's . hooray !

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

HOLA :-)

Been up awhile .. but, the electric company (HYDRO here in Canada) says 'do your laundry on the weekends' .. either that or after 7pm at night !
Have it almost done now ..

Would imagine Betty is on the road .. don't know how she does it, but at 59, I sure couldn't .. I might try, but, I don't think I'd do too well ..

Going to spend time outside with the dogs .. help Lorna do a few things to the Mule she's trading in, clean it out etc .. the company she bought her new one from will come here with it sometime during the week, and take her plough off the old one and put it on the new, as well as her trailer hitch and winch ..

Karen, betcha you're glad the staple removal is done :-)

Better get breakfast (brunch) on the make

~M~

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

The 'MULE', only Lorna's is white, and, enclosed :-)

Susan & I will have fun, I'm sure - we're both so excited!!

Marilynne - That doesn't look like that Mule would be stubborn at all lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That looks like it would be really nice to have!

Betty, have a safe trip!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

DD has a red mule. She just wanted golf cart for going to mail box, but her hubby always has to over do. It is fun for going cross country.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

We 'tool around' in it here on the property .. if Lorna had both legs we would get more adventurous, but, I like to be able to SEE home :-)
We both carry our cell phones too .. just dang hard to see out the back as there are no mirrors ..
It's lotsa fun, and, makes yardwork so much easier ..

LK, how are you doing re pain today ?
I know the freezing that is injected along with the steroid makes the joint feel amazing, then, it wears off ..
Hope it's better ..

Smokey is acting, more oddly than usual .. sitting staring at the wall .. or just looks like he's lost ..
Piper, seems to be his kooky old self :-) He sure gave us a scare with that respiratory episode..

Making chef salads with chicken breasts sliced on top .. DH won't be home from the Sportsman's Show til about 6pm .. am hoping he doesn't overdo .. he's used to napping during the afternoon ..

Time change tonight .. gag me .. takes me about 3 days to back on track after this one ..

TTFN

~M~

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh no.......... the dreaded time change when we lose an hour......... blech!
glad to hear Piper's back to normal, but.... what's up with Smokey?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So far the pain is a lot better, I hardly walk with a limp, and the knees are feeling better too.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Happy to hear Linda, sure hope it lasts.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Me too!

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

Good for some relief Linda Kay.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening, just got back, signing in while a hot bath is running, wow sore/sore/sore

Verona, ON

Hurrah LK!!! Hope your pain relief lasts for a long time. Do they give you a timeline on how long the relief could last?

M call me a rebel but I never follow the hydro times. It really doesn't make a difference in your bill. I religiously followed the time restraints but once Warren was so ill I just did the wash and drying when I could get to it. Really just a few cents difference - like less than a dime- in our bills.

Coyotes yipping and howling from about 10 pm until 3:30 am. All the pups were on edge.We finally got to sleep about 5 am and I was up at 6:30 am. I'll try to fall asleep early tonight.

Hope Betty has safe travels.

Well, I took the plunge. Have been working on a secret all week.....but
things went faster than I thought.

Not sure if he is staying with "Sammy", but we have a new baby.

9 month old rescue, and weighs about 26 lbs. He came from Puerto Rico, and our Groomer who did my Izzy and runs kennel, has been working with them for some time. He just "arrived" in the states on Tuesday.

I need to learn Spanish! haha

Meet my new boy.

Was up til 4 am. My furnace went out. I ran out of propane. My fault for not checking. I was able with two electric heaters to keep 65% so wasn't too bad. All is well but need some sleep. Get some rest Betty.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ahhh, can see you smiling Debbie
You just weren't Debbie without a pouch

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear your home Betty, did you buy all you needed?

Bev, I hope you can get some propane delivered soon!

Just rec'd a call ... Lorna's boss, Dave (47) died of a massive heart attack last night .. he was in the shop doing a cremation, his home is about a half mile from the cemetery .. his wife found it odd he hadn't come home by 8pm .. went over and found him collapsed on the floor.

Lotsa tears here ..
