Happiness is having a MIRACLE happen in a small examining room stuffed with 3 people

The bone marrow biopsy is NEGATIVE for the BAD stuff .. there is a weird protein group in the marrow, but, it is NOT a bad thing .. she was VERY explicit with that ..
So .. she is now turning Gordon over to the Cancer Clinic where he will be followed by another blood specialist as these 'off proteins' could of a sudden go ballistic and raise a little hell .. so .. every 3 to 6 months he will have to go in for extensive blood work .. HEY we'll take it !!!
So .. the prayers worked, and once this horrifying bout with SHINGLES takes off (could be a month or more) he will be coming back to normal .. fingers crossed !!!
He sure does look better, and, he bought PIZZA for supper :-)

HAPPY DAYS ..

On a sombre note, while we were waiting to go into her office, the CBC news was talking about my cousins son, Jesse ..as I would have thought, his Mom is 'raising her own hell' with the poor care for veterans coming home from war .. Jesse had asked for help, and, was refused !!

Betty the coat is a deep purple. You can't miss me tromping through the bush now. I stopped 2 snowmobilers tearing up a field on Sunday. I got all the info I needed to report them but they got a little lippy with me. They asked how I was going to stop them and I said I would report them to the OPP and MNR for trespassing. The 1 guy made the mistake of getting off of his machine and moving towards me Diesel and Duke let him know not to come any closer. The guy said he had never seen such large white teeth and he respected that. Of course neither dog would have harmed him as they won't leave my side when I stop to talk to someone.Plus I had a hold of their collars. Needless to say I felt safe.

Got chills and a few tears, omg "m" there are miracles when god's earthly Angels band together in prayer...just shaking ..now you were not just 3 in that room, lord heard our prayers and made the appointment as well

went to gym. bank, and got my meds. I forgot to give them my new insurance. so it took longer :( but i will take it. no cost !

Marilynne, I'm adding my thanks to Whoever listened to all the prayers. My mom had shingles and it was awful. When I heard about the shot I immediately asked my doctor and got it.

Dana helped me edit my letter to the IRS and it's typed up and ready to be proofread.

I'm planting irises.

Well, I wasn't here when the good news came in from Marilynne, because I was taking a Walk!!! It's my first real walk since I fell 2 weeks ago. No, I didn't overdo - it was 9 blocks to our local grocery store, and I had 6 benches to stop at, along the way. I"m severely out of shape, I must admit, and even if I hadn't been newly (almost) healed from my fall, I would have been tired.
On the way back home (another 9 blocks) I stopped 3 blocks before, at a restaurant and had a bowl of homemade mushroom soup - yum......
I was tired when I got home, but it was a good tired. I think I'll do it again tomorrow :-)

Didn't have lunch with Linda..she spent 5 hrs in emerge yesterday, her leg so swollen, they thought she had another clot...she is so regretting having the surgery.

oh that sucks, Betty - the fact you couldn't have lunch with Linda, AND the 5 hours in emerg........AND the regret for the surgery....

Just before I went for my walk, I phoned my old church (Renfrew) and asked for transfer papers. While talking to my friend Mary at Renfrew, I found out that my other friend Marlene (the giver of the loom....)'s mother Wilma, had passed away on Monday early morning. Poor Marlene...... I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet, but her sister & family are in Hawaii now, and everything is left to Marlene to deal with. Marlene was never married, and no children, so had lived with her mom for more than 20 years. Recently her mom had gone to a care home in June and Marlene downsized and moved to a basement suite in Sept. So much change for her (she felt bad, sending her mom to a care home but it was long overdue), and now losing her mom is triply difficult.

Susan, hope you can reach Marlene, am sure she is needing a friend..congrats on your desire to get healthier..nothing like a nice walk.

Oh Betty I have been sent to the 'naughty' chair a couple of times here on DG. Ellen has a segment on her phone with bloopers like that - good for a laugh.

Yes I reported the trespassers. If we let just 1 get away with it the whole situation will escalate. All that happens is a registered letter is sent to the owner of the machine. Lots of times it is not the owner on the machine but a relative or friend. Second time they are caught a charge is laid.One year it was really bad and we were tearing our hair out but MNR had promised to come out. They are spread so thin but given our info they would check out the ice fishermen on their sweep through the property. Warren and I were coming IN the lane from the grocery store when we sighted 3 sleds coming out. Warren crowded them off of the lane and wouldn't listen to me. I was trying to tell him it was MNR and I knew that because I could see they had guns on their belt. We all had a big laugh afterwards. But then Warren asked me why I didn't tell him it was MNR. That really made me laugh.

Oh Katie good luck with the IRS. I know your pain. I had quite an experience with Revenue Canada one year. They even froze our bank accounts for a few days until I was able to speak to a minion's supervisor. Finally I just let our new accountant talk to Revenue Canada. Things were cleared up quickly then.No apology from Rev Can though.

your walk must have felt good Susan. The homemade mushroom soup would be a great motivator for me.

Betty - I didn't get the soup until the entire trip was 6/8ths through....... it was a great "way to go!!" prize for my walk. I can't be having that mushroom soup for a little ole walk every time though - would more than counter the good a walk would do lol

Many years ago, hubby and I would go for an exercise walk after dinner.....right to the ice cream parlor. LOL

I am here too Betty. Sending positive energy and prayers. St Mike's is an excellent hospital. Also sending prayers that Greg and Mel will have a safe drive into TO. Thank goodness there is no storm out there right now.
