Prayers please ..

~M~
Prayers coming your way..
You still do have appointment tomorrow though?
-24 here. Bitter cold
Rather be here than east, watching on breakfast tv weather report..all you in the east stay in, stay Safe!
Dianne, are you getting any of this weather?
Couldn't sleep during the night, got up, moved appliances in laundry room, swept, washed floor several times to get any grime off so I can paint, was going to do it but girls are coming today and use the laundry tub, guess next week as the tubs will be no more they will have to use the new zinc
Good morning everyone,
It is a blizzard here this morning. We have about 12 inches already with no signs of stopping until later this afternoon or tonight. The wind is howling and the snow is all fluffy and light. Almost up to my windows! We are snug and warm and will weather it out.
Sending prayers to all in need today. Will check back in later...
Morning everyone!
Just heard over 700+ flight have been cancelled in the East coast. They say some areas did not get as hard as expected, but other areas got hit hard.
Barb, please don't go out if you don't have too!
Betty, a tens unit, is a small battery operated device, you place the sticky pads on the area that hurts, tun up the device till you feel a moderate to strong impulse that stimulates your sore muscles. Ask your Dr. for one. They are not that expensive. He will show you how to use it.
Hope by "we" Barb you mean Norm and yourself
Glad you are snuggled in, no worries re shoveling, nice part about living in an apartment..smart choice
Now if you can keep power all will be well in your world
Hmmm, have you tried it LindaKay?
Are you somewhat satisfied with your results last week?
Morning everyone No snow here just bitter cold. It's in the -30's today on the lake side of the house and it looks like it 'might' warm up to the high -20's Woo hoo a heat wave!
Sending positive thoughts and prayers for Gord this morning. How is Smokey?
How is Cali Barb/ Norm out on the road today?
Streak does not like his Senior, diet, low protein kibble. When he is hungry enough he will eat it. Sassy is not impressed with the new kibble either. Hard not to give in to those sweet faces.Streak goes back in 6 -8 weeks for more blood tests. He is to have this liquid med and the vet tech assured me he would lick it up. Ha!! He needs 1 ml twice a day. I don't know how I am going to get it down him. I tried putting him in a pillow case to dose him but that was a fail. I need another set of hands.
Crissy ... you go girl!! So glad you got the job.
Huge hugs Katie.. I hope today will be a better day for you.
BBL
Dianne
Yes, I have one here at the house I use when my back gets bad, but it can be used on any part of the body that hurts. Neck, arm, leg, shoulder...
All the Dr. did last week was give me MRI results, now I need to call a pain management Dr. and make an appointment for injections at the bad points in my back, as well as my chiropractor for an adjustment. I picked up my new meds yesterday, so I have to take them for a few weeks, before I know if they work or not.
Betty I'm using a pattern I bought. It has pinwheel squares alternating with applique chicks. Cute but more time consuming than I had planned on. I'm doing the pinwheels using Jenny's method not the way the pattern says. There are also flying geese around the outside. Changed the color as DGD wants pink everything.
That sounds pretty Karen. Are the chicks paper pieced, or appliqued?
your weather is much like mine..still rather have the bitter cold as it means we don't have to shovel right?
didn't the vets or Pet stores have eats that you put meds in them??? seem to recall getting something like that for one of my kitties
when you say you put him in a pillowcase I was thinking because of scratching and it reminded me I need to make appt to have Missy's nails clipped, maybe Saturday
well I'm glad Streak is home with you and as you say, when he's hungry he will eat
Might look into that LindaKay, will ask my doc
Paul bought me a high end massage unit, helped somewhat

Karen, bet it's adorable
Missouri quilt method would be a lot easier
I bought the Eleonor Burns template for flying geese, works well, all accurate
Hi - Much better this morning, thanks for all the hugs. Yesterday afternoon I went to neighbor Dana's and cried on her shoulder - literally. She listened as I unburdened myself while her four little dogs jumped all over me. Much relief. I'm invited to their Super Bowl party on Sunday - they have a home in Seatle so you know who we have to cheer for.
will watch the news while having coffee - probably mostly about the snowstorm.then watch Ellen and ride my exercise bike.
So glad to be feeling better.
Love all of you.
hugs, katie
OH Katie......... yes, so glad & happy you're feeling better.......!!! We weren't happy when you were feeling so blue, and yucky! So glad that "life threw you Dana"! She was there with you, literally, when we couldn't be, but you know we're here for you too, as much as we can :-)
Awwwww 4 furries to make you happy!
We love you too!
Betty, Dianne's kitty is "Streak". M's kitty is "Smokey".
oooppps tks Joyce
Katie, glad you had someone to lean on/cry with, it's been a long hard road for you, not much wonder you had a melt down.
Katie a good melt down on a soft shoulder is a needed thing at times.
Typing through tears ...
Just home from the appts, and, the one with the doc was NOT good :-(
Gord has lost more weight .. all tolled, 25 pounds since October ..
His shingles are very painful as they heal (neuralgia, nerve pain)
Doc said something is definitely amiss, and the Oncologist will have more info tomorrow ..
Gord has aged, and is so weak .. and, I couldn't help it, I burst out crying when we got home, and HE told ME, all would be fine ..
Katie, good to hear you are feeling more 'UP' :-)
LindaKay .. we use a 'Dr Ho' type of TENS unit here .. Lorna swears by it when her knee is giving her what for ..Betty, you can purchase them at SHoppers Drugmart, maybe even WallyWorld ..
Barb .. inside is the best place to be
My kitter Is Smokey .. and he is miraculously recovered from whatever it was that he had !! Must be the quarter of a baby aspirin that we give him every 3 days ??
Anyway .. I feel deflated,sad,weepy and poohey ..
Thanks for all you guys do for me .. I so appreciate it ..
Love yas
~M~
Oh "M", Damn Damn Damn. That's a lot of weight for him to have lost without trying. Hold tight to each other and cherish each day. Hugs.
Hi y'all
Wanted to come over and check on everyone in this horrid weather. That's all we hear about down here. Y'all stay safe. I can't imagine all that snow and wind of that magnitude. We've had what I thought was a lot of wind ...
Yikes Barb! Hope you don't have any power woes.
Oh no ... M, I'm so sorry to see that Gord isn't doing well. I was so hoping that things were better. I'm sending prayers for both of you. Glad Smokey is all better now!
Betty and Dianne, goodness ... no can do that weather of yours! Temps just shouldn't be that low!
Betty, wish you lived closer so you could clean my place next time you couldn't sleep. LOL
Dianne, Moses is on low calorie food with green beans. He doesn't seem to mind it. Of course a lab will eat anything. LOL I don't think I could take care of a kitty. Moses and I rescued one last winter, though. Poor little tiny thing. We never did find his Mama, but this little fella's eyes weren't even opened. There was nothing wrong with his lungs, though! haHa
Katy, hugs and prayers sent your way. I'm glad you have a shoulder to lean on.
~Waving to those I've missed ...

"M", so sorry to hear it is not good news! Sending you both lots of (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))

"M" just sick to my stomach, there are no words
am sure you know how we all feel about you and know how overwhelming it is for you..again the appointment with oncologist is tomorrow right??? lets just hope weight loss is from stressing and good news to come..praying for a Miracle, we all know there are some out there..
sure wish I lived closer, you'd have to shoooo me from your doorstep
Susan (101) nice to see you drop in, now you have to know I'd do the cleaning in exchange for lodging lol .. hope you are wearing your snuggies..did you keep the kitty?
Thunder, I was moving us over when you posted those little darlings this morning..they are just too adorable..meant to tell you when I was shopping at Fabricland yesterday there was a line of christmas fabrics much like you sent me..5 co-ordinating 1/4 meters had to come home with me.
Might make enough for 2 more of the dresden trees, I so enjoyed making the one I got from you.
Had a bag of yellow/pink/green scraps, using them up in a tote, talk about color
hoping to finish it this aft..starting to wane out but I don't want to nap or I'll be up all night again, if I don't finish it then I will in the morning..I'm so energetic at 5am lol
Sending really heavy prayers "M" for Gord's weight loss to a result of stress and not anything else. I have the song from "Annie" running through my mind and I'm so praying it is true that the sun will come out again. Sending gentle hugs along as well.
Karen, the baby quilt sounds adorable.
Glad you have a friend Katie that understands we all need to cry sometimes. You are very lucky.
Were you ever able to play Santa? Or did I miss a post?
Sitting here with a hot chocolate now and watching the snow still falling outside. We are up to around 20" now.....
((((M )))) so sorry to hear the news with Gord. :( that much weight is a worry. PRaying and hoping the apt tomorrow has results . hugs lady.

What now Betty?
UH OH! Sounds like she changed her mind again about the trip?
((((((((((Marilynne)))))))))) so, so, so, sorry to hear the news about Gord. Bless his heart, he's worried about you...... you having a meltdown is good for you, too - you've been holding it in......
Hey Betty - I'll take her - she can look after me LMAO She'd soon realize what a GEM you are, and how lucky she is to have you for a daughter lol
THIS Susan has warm weather today 57F at the moment, but was warmer earlier
I'm sewing/piecing, and taking out, and re-sewing, and.......
Actually Linda, I'm fffrrr eezing, but I feel like a wimp to say such a thing with the weather up north. LOL
What about you?
Betty are you coming south? Remember what I told you! And no we took the kitty to the Vet to be adopted. He couldn't even bottle feed. I'm not sure what they did with it. It needed his Mommy! I've never seen anything so tiny in all my life. You should have seen Moses! He kept checking on it ... I think he was telling me I'd better do something. That kitty needed help! I have a picture of it somewhere. I'll try to post it if I can find it.
Marilynne, so sorry to hear the news about Gord. Keep coming here and talking about it.
I just went to Dana's a printed out the forms I need to send to the IRS tax court. I am also thinking about what to say in a cover letter to them.
We had a little rain here yesterday. Very unusual but welcome.
I gave Dana a pot with a papaya tree and a mango tree to give to the American dentist who comes down here and volunteers time to the Rotary clinic. He makes a fortune doing root canals in California so we are lucky to get him here.
I did not do the Santa thing - too knocked out by the radiation. I was thinking today maybe I should make an Easter Bunny costume. Or have Santa come around on Easter.
Must get back to the IRS.
hugs, katie
Ummmm No thanks Betty. Been there done that.
Betty, I got my tens unit free from my Dr office.
Hugs Marilynne.
Nothing major, but she calls me every day, twice a day and tells me same about her aches/pains. I know, I've been doing same here, going to try and be better
Then she called and said she went to her bank that offered travelling insurance, $1,650 for the yea, unlimited trips
I told her something wrong there,my hats way too cheap considering her age and health issues. She said they didn't ask many questions
She said last year before Jim got sick she was quoted $2,500 for she and Jim for 2 weeks
Ok then that means mom your share for 2 weeks was $1,250
So how will they insure you for $1,650 for entire year
1. Length of trip to likely more than 7 days
2. The bank insurance doesn't ask mega questions so that should something happen
They can say you are not insured
Doesn't make sense to me
Katie, how long do the dentists stay in your region, do they rotate with other dentists?
Good luck with irs, is it to do with same issue as last year?
I think Easter Bunny hunt event would be perfect..lots to do for them at chrismas but likely not much at Easter, they would so enjoy.
Susan (101) I fly down April 3rd then startdrivinghome end of that week so save me sunshine please.missy was found hanging round backdrop when she was but a few weeks old, somebody had put a litter in the garbage bin..I sometimes see some who look much like my Missy, perhaps her siblings..some people are cruel aren't they
Susan, bet she always wanted to visit Calgary. Lol
I'll drop her off to Debbie, she not only is stateside but she is the closest
Put the texture paint on half the floor downstairs, odd kind of paint..little thicker than muffin mix, has sand grit in it. Paint it on then use this weird roller that gives a bit of texture..we will see what it's like when it dries overnight..rest will be done after men instal washroom
Wanted to finish the tote bag but too tired, project for tomorrow
Ahhhhh,bettheywillmake her feel better
Betty, you have to buy traveling insurance?
