Ahh, finally able to settle down to do this.
Hi Barb!! ~~ I'm sure you can't wait for spring to arrive. Postal carriers especially will be thankful to see the last snow fall!! Poor guys.
Anyway, how is Norm?
So glad that Karen will be discharged Monday. She must have had a scare. May that be her last one.
Susan, God provides a way for you to cope, and an Elvis show will take your mind off those 'storms'.
Hope your sister and her DH can get some daily help. Dol they have any kids that live closeby.
Waving to Cookie!!
Sister Judy, are you reading the latest by our favorite authors??
Jake will go far with his ability to stick to his plans. So proud of him.
My nephew in France too has another year in school for anything to do with desserts and bread. He plans to work in Monaco. Such a stiff competition, but he's focused on his ambition.
Camping Sue? Lol.. sis Kathy I'm sure will haul her camper and the tent will be all Judy's!!
Tom will fit right in with the sisters.
Pegi, it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Stress is an ugly snake that will try to bring you down.
Will include your son in my prayers too.
Surprise me there LK by admitting you feel lazy!! You're Wonderwoman, you can't be lazy!! It's me that's always finding excuses not to do things!
Did some cooking.. burnt ham and potato salad. Yes I burnt a huge ham., setting the temp too high, for 3 hours!! Didn't set the timer, I fell asleep. A/hole will just have to eat it in the morning when he returns, if not the cats will have a ham feast!! It's just the outside thats burnt, the interior isn't too bad, but the scent is there!
Lately I've been sleeping days a lot.
Before church, I always try to drink at least three cups of coffee now, instead of the usual one in the morning.
Have a good night's sleep everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow. Love and hugs.
Rm 302 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel
yes, Jaye - they have 2 - son, & daughter (and her hubby & their 2 kids), all in same city.
They are great kids, too. Rick's 55 & Kathy's 53, so they are a good age to be helping Alice & Glen, as much as they can.
Enjoyed the Elvis concert - Front Row Seats! He made my heart go pit-a-pat! The seats were only 3 feet from the stage, and we were only 1/2 way from the center! Wow - and as soon as my phone charges, I'll post pics. We would have been able to bring cameras, apparently, but I didn't think we could so I didn't, Good thing my phone had some juice. I got a video of one of his songs, too. Several close-ups, and I do mean, several. As I said 3 ft from the stage and he worked all across it, to Right In Front of me.........
Morning everyone. Always a pleasure to see you posting Jaye. We miss you and worry when we don't hear from you. Just as we do with everyone else.
Speaking of which, Marion you need to pop in and say hello.
Ernie, we miss you too.
Susan I am glad to hear you had good seats for the show. Can't wait to see pictures.
Morning everyone. Up early as usual, but will probably lay down in a while. No wonder I'm tired all the time, just love to have a full 8 hours sound sleep. No use laying in bed with my eyes wide open. Ran out of juice in my kindle so reading was out of the question. Now I think I can try and get a couple more hours sleep.
Glad you enjoyed Elvis, Susan. I would have loved to have been there. Yes, I've missed Marion and Ernie too, and of course I always miss Jaye when she doesn't post.
Susan Tom is a big Elvis Fan LOL. he is jealous.
not much going on here.
Austin made his first basket and scored. !!!! I was a proud mama for sure !!! jumping up and down.

Why does the article here on DG say today is Groundhog Day?
Great photos Susun, glad you had a good time.
well, off to church - cya later!
Are you soaking the border, before trying to remove it?
get a spray bottle and fill it with very warm water, spray the paper, and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, then start peeling it off. You can also us a hair dryer to heat it up, that will soften the glue too!
Someone got the date wrong, tomorrow is Groundhog day.
Good Afternoon Ladies!!!
Not a football fan so NO I am not watching the Super Bowl, lol.
Things with the house are looking better and better :) The new guy fired property management and got back out pet and security deposit and is using that towards down payment on house because the FHA only wants 1% down, house,is $120,000 deposit we got back is $1200 and our monthly payments will be $700 whoohoooo!!!! We were paying $800 month rent, and property management were A holes about fixing anything, grrrrrrrrrrrr.
I don't know what is wrong with me lately but I have a very short fuse :( The least little thing that anyone says or does seems to irritate me. I am on the verge of tears all the time. I'm thinking it's because I have so much sitting on my shoulders, my mom, my brother, my daughter, yard work, the house etc!!! I have no one here to talk to and if I try I just start crying. Just writing this is making me tear up :( I'm also afraid that all of this is going to cause me to have a stroke or a heart attack. My dad's mom was only 58 when she died of a heart attack. I try to do things, like yard work to keep me busy and stress free but it's hard when you trying to relax and someone starts complaining about one thing or another. My mom is really hard to get along with and she has a short fuse too. I have to be really careful what i say around her :( I really need to get away from everybody for a day or two but that is impossible! :( I posted this on my FB page the other day so that the person who hurt my feelings could read it........
Cindy, your emotions could be your hormones going crazy as you age. That is what my Dr. Told me. I chose not to take pills for it, but there are things your Dr. can give you.
And congrats on the house! Does that mean you are staying with Doug?
Cookie have you tried using farbric softner ? mix with water and spray it on. Will just come off like buttah.
Austins game was a barn burner. To bad the ref's gave some really bad calls ! and our team lost due to them. Refs always get sloppy near the end of the game. So we lost by 2.
Austin made another basket. hooray. proud mom. :)
ok, confession time - my knees are both wracked up, and I know why - weight. I'm 125lbs heavier than when Bob first met me, and I could stand to lose 100 lbs.......... take the weight off my knees, poor things......... When my fallen-on knee got hurt on Jan 7th, I figured (when they felt better on Jan 14th) that I would get back into an exercise regime and do what I really enjoy - walking.
Being so depressed and out of work for over a year did me in - I sat at my computer all day & did next to nothing. Not only did I feel rotten, I couldn't get out of the house, etc.
Well, can't go on an exercise regime at the moment (Bob had to take me around WalMart in a wheelchair for pete's sake........ I'm in THAT much pain) I am going to eat a lot less, and I have a diet drink I'm taking that's worked for me in the past.
Sorry to hear that you are hurting so much. Have you had a mri, to see what's wrong with your knees?
had mri a year ago on my original, left, injured knee. at that time I was told I have a torn meniscus, and osteoarthritis. When I fell on Jan 7th, he said I broke nothing and got soft tissue damage (bruising, I guess he meant, which has healed now) and fluid on the knee.
My right was doing alright until I overdid it on the 18 block walk. I was walking normally (pushing the "normal" part cuz I was TIRED of walking "like a penguin" to quote my hubby)

I"ll be fine, given no more "overdoing it" and some time and proper pain relief. PLUS losing weight
Very pretty!
Good morning! Good game last night. I'm not a big fan of football, but that game was fun to watch.
It was a great game!!!!! A cliffhanger for sure for all of us in New England......
It got pretty heated in the last few minutes.
Malcolm Butler is my hero!!!!! What an interception!!! I love games like this.
We are up to 12" with no signs of stopping anytime soon. Really don't need any more!!!!
We got some more snow today - not sure how much
Well Drs. aren't sure what happened. I was on Plavix and took it faithfully but they are testing to see if I became resistant to it somehow. This was a major attack, previous stent caught a blood clot and I had 100% blockage. Ambulance crew worked me over the whole ride in which I don't remember a lot of. Once at ER they stopped only long enough to cut off my clothes(Karen Neuberger jammies dang it) and insert a couple more lines. and ran with me to the cath lab. I was put completely out this time. I woke up in a room hooked up to a gazillion gadgets. Dr. has told me from now on I am on fast track directly to cath lab every time.
Home now and feeling OK just really tired. Drs. are still fiddling with meds while waiting to get results from Mayo.
OMG Karen - what an ordeal for you........ SO glad you're here, at home......
holding you gently in my heart and gentle arm wraps to you
(what are Karen Nueberger jammies? Must be something special............?)
Here's hoping the right meds are found Quickly!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, Karen, hugs and prayers coming your way. I hope you don't have to go straight to the cath lab AGAIN!!
Joyce I heard that!
Karen, so glad to hear you are home. Get some rest, and tell those at home to step up and help you out.
hi...Good to see all you Fans had fun watching the game.
Susan, great Elvis photo's, how sweet you had front row seats!
Awe, sorry to hear about your knees. Yep rest up and do what you have to build up strength.
So glad your home Karen, I agree hope you don't need that cath ever again.
May the find the right meds and dosage. meanwhile get cozy warm and have a good rest.
wrapping my arms around you too.
Sue, Do you and Tom agree on the teams or did you have a good rival at your house?
Way to go Austin for the baskets!! I love it...Was a snow day here. I was out at five and barely anyone out. We got 19.3 in all, so funny, in 2011 exact dates had a storm, got 20 + in that one.
Sistah Jaye, LOL, sorry to hear about the ham...ooops.
Well, yep I am reading our favorite Author...Breenie gifted me with the vital missing titles for Christmas!! so could help but start from the beginning. I'm just starting the People of the Sea.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Stay warm and safe.
Karen Neuberger is a brand name for jammies that are super comfy. They are sold at Macy's and Younker's plus I'm sure other stores carry them too. They can be bought as separates so you can mix & match. I always look for them on sale as they are a bit costy.
This is a good site to buy them at a good discount.
