Jaye I am here but xmas depresses me. I feel like I have been beat with a club and won't come out for a while. But I can say Kelv is a cruel pig of a man but that is nothing new you knew that.

cleaned cleand yesterday. many books are going to the library. Even the ones i love. Do i really need 40 books sitting on my shelves ? ... no.... but i am keeping my cook books.
I did keep children books from Jessica's time. She had fav's when she was a toddler. Just can't part with those.
went through the kitchen. Will i ever eat those dried beans that have been in my cabinet for 4 yrs..... no.... off to the local food donation center.
the rain stopped, so i may get off my butt and get the holiday lights down. uhg. They may be donated too !
i would sell this stuff but i don't want to deal with craigs list or shipping the items out if i do amazon. ect... donations are much more satisfying to me.

Ernie, sorry to hear you get depressed for Christmas, I guess a lot of people do. I wish for you an early spring.

Well, my neighbor asked me if I could take some pictures for some friend of hers that were getting married yesterday. I went to the church at 10:30, to the reception an hour later, and got home about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. I was on my feet all day, and I crashed about 8:30 last night. The wedding was very casual, and I enjoyed taking pictures. My neighbor is a nurse that does home care for patients, and her patients is an old veterinarian that got gored by a bulled about a year ago. They did not think he would make it, due to all his internal injuries. But he did.

Okay today is untrimming the tree! I'm dreading it. It's awful getting the tree back in the basement. The other thing on the agenda is cleaning out the silverware drawer. I got a new holder and I'm anxious to straighten out that mess!

I've been toying with the idea of painting my kitchen cabinets. Anyone have any experience with doing it?

The weather's been miserable - blizzard........
We're "trying out" a new church this morning. Went there for Christmas Eve service and it was very nice. Not too far from home, either.

Yes, he still has a long ways to go for recovery. But he is doing pretty good.

Let me introduce myself!! I am that crazy Florida lady who drops by every now and then. LOL I am home finally.....back from cruise on the 22nd, left right after Christmas to spend time with my sister. No more traveling until March 13th I hope!!!

I haven't read all the post so I am a little behind on what is happening but will catch up when I can.

Cruise was wonderful!!!! It also was what I needed to help get me back on track from all the issues I have been dealing with since the 10th anniversary of Ross' passing. Wasn't prepared for the reaction I had and it has been a roller coaster trying to get back to my semi normal place. I will never, ever be normal so that is a hopeless thought!! ;-)

I have a great family and am loved so much by them, but still get depressed around Christmas. I always have a few days that I should just crawl into a closet & stay there.

Like I've said before....I sure wouldn't want to be without my depression meds!!

How are you doing Karen, when is your surgery?

My sister told me when I was down there this week that she is going to ask her doctor to take her off the depression meds...NO! NO! NO! I screamed!!! Oh how I hope that doesn't happen as I am just plain tired of holding things up.

Cookie, it seems I get 2 rooms ahead and 4 rooms behind. Of course right now we,let me clarify that...Kim is, taking care of a couple of kittens for a friend. Hopefully they will go soon as they have been here since October. I am down one screen door, all the shears in my family room are shreds and I am constantly worrying they will trip me on the stairs. To old for this nonsense!!!

Not a surgery Linda, just a rather quick and easy procedure which I've had before. Dr is going to try and enter at my wrist which I'm hoping will be successful. I will be awake it requires just a local at the entry site. I don't know what time as it won't be decided until morning. Of course any emergencies can throw the schedule off too. As soon as I can move a bit, I'll give you a shout.

Glad you had such a good time Marion, sure hoping your sis keep on her meds. It often happens when someone feels better they think they don't need them any more, and really get thrown out of balance again. With any luck her Dr. can get through to her.

I sure hope so Karen. I am ready for "me" time. I know that sounds selfish but she is 6 year younger and is scared to drive so I have to do all the traveling. She is either going to have to consider moving closer or expand her circle of people who will help her. I am tired!! Oh that sounds so bad!!! Sorry

Everyone's fine, but Bob, Doug & I were in a car accident. We were on an entry road into WalMart parking lot, and a fellow on another part of the parking lot was crossing in front of us - did not yield, and hit my car - just twisted his step-up on his F150, but (because it was so cold) totally shattered the bumper on my car - my car sits lower (2007 Chevy Cobalt) so he got No damage basically.
The lights work fine on mine, but forgot to check to see if I can pop the hood on my car... It's totally drivable.
Bob was driving, and I was in front passenger seat, with Doug behind me. So, damage done on Bob's side bumper...
Reported it to the police, and don't know if it will be 50/50 or just what - I'll call insurance company tomorrow...

btw - Church service was lovely, and they were very welcoming - joined them for coffee afterwards and met the Minister. Looking forward to attending Choir Practice on Thurs evening...
It's where I applied for a job, so hope I get church and job in one lol

Susan, I finally got all my mail delivered yesterday and yes, there is a package for me. I haven't opened it yet as I have been trying to sort through the bills, etc. Will happen tomorrow.

yeah, the accident was scary - First I got FURIOUS, and slammed my car door when I got out - the fella Knew he was dealing with an angry woman lol Then he had to have me fill out my own info for him (he didn't have pen & paper.......). Afterwards, in the car driving to our next stop - about 10 min, I started to cry, then I got a headache. It's gone now, but was only stress.

Low 50s here, still in my 'jamie. Exhausted still from the 10 hour drive in all the traffic on Saturday. I will be moving in just a few minutes!! Do have some laundry going so all isn't hopeless....just helpless.

Car damage is likely around $3k, easily....... called the insurance company this morning, and they figure it will be his fault 100%, because we were the "vehicle on the right" and he, as the "vehicle on the left" should have yielded to us.
Now, have to wait for adjuster to call and give us a claim #. When they do, and we get an estimate, then we can get a rental car paid for directly by the insurance company. No credit card needed, thank goodness, as we don't have one.
Just charged my cell phone, and will go to Anne's. The adjuster will call me sometime today, so had to look up my cell phone # lol!!

It's 1:00 P.M. here Barb or almost any how.

Pray all goes fine Karen. I'm going to do a stress test tomorrow, they are going to stress my heart and that sounds dangerous. It is an all day thing. Put in an IV line and give me meds. After one med I have to wait an hour then they take more pictures.

Since I didn't get to finish Outlander before my loan expired I HAVE to know the ending. If I want to renew it I'll be put on another long waiting list. Now Dragonfly in Amber is going to be another long read. I need to know if Claire's daughter Brianna is Jamie Fraser's I feel that she is and I guess she found the pile of stones to get back into her own time. Didn't think I would get so involved in this story,

Going to be another perfect day as far as weather is concerned. Going to be in low 70's and warmer outside than inside.
