If we ever got another laptop, Karen, we'd go to a recycling depot - and who knows? we may have to ...... got the Tivoli (sp?) hacker on Bob's laptop - it hijacks the websites and won't let you go to the ones you want - won't let Google be our default search or start page...... :-(

Susan sounds like you have to take your back to the beginning. Do a format, but first make sure you have a recovery disk. Might be worth it to get the Best Buy geeks to look at if if you don't know a geek.

Tom and I are still at my house. Watching tv. Waiting for Tim. We may stay here the night. DOn't feel like driving 1.5 hrs to Toms. But we just do it. Just to get out of here.

Karen - we have taken it back - via Recovery, but it still is hijacking websites. Uninstalled a bunch of programs and even went into the registry to get rid of stuff. This is a new one on me - but then they're always coming up with new hijacking / hacking. All my years in tech support and I know they do this because they CAN...... boredom and a lack of the moral "rightness" of things plays a big part, of course........
Even when I was in tech support, some of those on our "floor" would do things to see what they could get away with. They got away alright - right out the door between security guards......
I know a geek, and maybe he can get this hijacker off the laptop. I don't feel like paying $30 or more for a program I can d/l from the internet.......

Geeks are very handy to have around. I'm pretty surrounded. Pretty proud too as most of them are grands.

If only my son Daniel was in the same city....... or Bob's son, Adam!

it was a strange New Year's Day. He treated me to Wendy's. I am thankful that at least I had NY's dinner even though it's not something I was used to before.
Then of course, he ran to see 'her' and you know what? I didn't cry this time. THe anti depressants work!!

Lolol Sue, I had a fit laughing at stomping on his food!!! There were a few occasions when mishaps happened with his servings, but I didn't bother to fix them!!
Kelvin has become an overbearing tyrant now. One day, he insisted I serve him only fresh bread, and he inspect the loaf, making sure it is not three fourths used up!!
What I did, was removed some fresh bread from another loaf, and just filled the old one up!! He never knew the difference. Been doing it for 2 months now.
He had been complaining about cat's hair too. I'm quite meticulous when it comes to that and all these years he hasn't found a single fiber.
Well.. he pisses me off so bad.. can't tell y'all what I did.. but did ask the Lord for forgiveness :D

It's been gorgeous weather here, where sometimes I've gone out with only short sleeves, no jacket - wow! But in a couple of days it's supposed to "turn" and today we're starting with ice fog that's sticking to the car Bob told me....

Today, over to Anne's - dear lady, she says I'm like a daughter to her - how very sweet of her to say.....I'm glad I was able to help her get on the internet (loose cable) and get her address changed with Revenue Canada (taxation). toss some garbage and take other stuff to GoodWill. It's little enough I can do.but she has family who are working during the day, and I'm not, so it works out for me too. At 84, she shouldn't be doing these things on her own........ she's getting confused about things she's never done on her own. Saw her new assisted living apartment - it's cute and well-set-up. Everyone has WiFi, so no wires to hook up - something she's really happy with, no extra cables to hook up lol

Good news!! Sissy Kathy is still talking to me!! I didn't watch the game, but I did look up the score this morning. I didn't care who won either way and told everyone who asked me that I thought Crimson would win!! She told me it was a good game, so at least that's good. No runaway!

Jaye, I wouldn't want to be without my antidepressants for any length of time! Glad they're working for you. I can't imagine how much cat fur you must have. I only have 6 and I could make a coat for myself every other day!! Hang in there, sister. We're all on your side!

Tom is being a blow hard today. He is very happy about the game.
well the last 24 hrs what could go wrong has gone wrong LOL . uhg. basement had an issue with water. Nothing like Bettys but just stupid and annoying .
kids didn't do their chores while tim was here. ( i did see that coming )
and just other tiny things. just annoying little things.
I have two massages lined up today. then the gym. grocery . ect...
Tom did make breakfast. always a plus. french toast and eggs. very yummy.

It is still cold here, only 38 right now, but supposed to be mid 60's tomorrow.

Our nights have been in the mid 30's, something we usually never see. It does get a lot higher during the day and sun is always shinning.

My electric blanket quit working, must check it out later on. So, I've been wearing some fuzzy socks at night and that keeps my feet warm. Hate to get up in the mornings though.

Jaye, I love how you are managing your cooking skills with Kel in mind. I'd do the same thing. Seems like he is pushing you much more hoping you would move out, remember that is NOT an option for you.

My son finally went down and got disability papers from Social Security. Helped him fill them out and he goes back on the 6th of this month. He finally is going to see the orthopedic doctor on the 29 of this month and we will know more. I have a feeling they will refuse him, but guess I better take a positive attitude.

Pegi, it is normal for so to refuse everyone. But here in Texas, after a 2nd refusal, we have the right to find an attorney to fight for us, and there are a lot of them that will take a case on a contingency bases, meaning they take a fee out of your check when they win.

BTW i have given back the dog we adopted 2 months ago. Bella is just to much dog. SHe is back with her foster home we got her from. Im not much to want to talk about it. I don't know what i was thinking . She was to much dog. The rescue group was not nice about it and down right mean. The posted a nasty post on FB about me. I know i made a bad judgement call and i did put 100% toward this dog, but she was to much for us. So i m not saying anything on FB about it. I don't need that conversation . I m done. Just thought you all should know.

Well, I went to breakfast with Bill, his brother and his brothers' girlfriend. Then lunch out with two friends and a movie (Big Eyes). Then supper, dishes and the couch!

Well I'm in the hospital, had a bit of a heart attack. Going to have a cardiac cath on Mon. and couldn't talk them into letting me go home and come back then.

a "bit" of a heart attack? no, you've had this coming on for awhile, Karen - rest, rest, rest, and let the hospital staff take care of you!!!! They won't let you go home cuz it's more serious than you're letting on. REST, please!
