The bags for the cancer society were still out in front at 5 PM so back in the garage they went. I get so mad when they send you a card in the mail on what day a truck will be by and no one shows up.

My loan period for the Outlander has expired and I hadn't finished it. I tried to finish reading it, but time got away from me. Got to the part where they got Jamie out of that dreadful prison and they are taking care of his beat up body. I know he does get better because of the other books I plan on reading. Just put Dragonfly in Amber on hold at the library, going to read the book as I don't think it is on the kindle.

The TV used to be on all day long when DH was with me, but I didn't get interested in watching it until the Hallmark channel started showing Christmas stories. At the end of this month I won't have this channel. They are raising price of Dish another $5 a month so have to make a decision if I can afford to keep it or not. I think I should get senior citizen rate, don't think that is available. LOL I found out that the Outlander series is on Starz and wouldn't you know it is paid for view channel.

We have Dish too, and it seems like every time we turn around, they are charging you for something else.

I ordered Starz just to watch Outlander ad then cancelled it. When the new one come on, I'll get it again and then cancel again when it's over.

Not avoiding you all.. just that my life went into a tail spin that only the Lord can stop. But again, my faith says whatever is happening to me right now, is in His plan to protect me.

Congrats Sue, new year is looking good and a great supporter behind you too.

Went to doctor and he is going to run some heart tests. I am more concerned about my heart since I lost my son to heart attack so guess I'll feel better when the test is over. The worst part was when he said he was retiring in May. He is too young and I told me I would stop going to stop seeing doctors then. He didn't say anything, but got a smile on his face. So in March it will be my last time to see him. So many disappointed people as he is such a well liked doctor. Asked him what he was going to do after retiring and he didn't know. Well, then I don't think he should retire. I know he has a bad back, was out for 6 months because of it. He was my doctor for over 20 years, where does the time go. He was the one who treated Darwin through all of his cancers problems and saw that he got all the testing he needed. I gained 3 pounds in 3 months, so guess I'll have to start cooking for myself and stay away from junk food.

Decided to bake some peanut butter cookies over the weekend. My brother loves peanut butter so he will get cookies and a huge jar of Skippy.

Tom is coming tomorrow. Tim will be coming in Dec 23 and stay leave on the 25th. Yes the two men are staying under the same roof ! ...... lots of drinking will be involved. Tom is not happy about it nor am I. But Tim pitched such a fit and you can't argue with crazy ! so i decided not to argue. Then he tells me he also has the 26th off.... ummmm no way Jose ! . I don't want to spend any more time with him then i have too. Savannah is being very insistant on this arrangment. She wants all parties to be nice and be joyful. Her words...... not mine. uhg.

Well, I have my shopping all done, and wrapped, just waiting on my son and family to arrive day after Christmas.

Dragonfly in Amber is ready at the library to pick up. I will pick it up when I return the two books I have here. Better put my reading on hold until after the holidays.

The only good part of getting a new doctor is that it will be one in the group and all my medical information is in the computers. But I know doctors like to do their own medical follow up.

Better get busy and try to finish up my wrapping gifts. Still have to buy for my younger sister. She is impossible to buy for as when she wants or needs something she runs right out and gets it. She is the one who bought me my kindle and router several years ago.

i have to pick a medical plan. This should be fun... not... ? get this. Medicaid sent me my card last month. Tom kept asking me what plan i was going to choose . No info was sent about choosing a plan ? well guess what i got two days ago...... the paper that says i have to choose a plan by Dec 29th ! ummmmm ..... really?

When my son first got on Medi-Cal (Medicaid is called that here) they sent booklets and lots of paper work and you don't know where to start. It really is confusing!! Just try and get an appointment with orthopedic doctor, another impossible move. He has been waiting way over a month and still dragging their feet.

Trimming of pine trees in mini mart before us, why don't they chop down the entire trees. My yard is full of pine limbs now. I guess they are offering to clean up the mess, but can't understand the Mexican so guess we will be cleaning up their mess. I heard all the sawing going on, but didn't realize it was being done behind my yard.

Just like a summer day here, some may be going to the beach. Me, I'm supposed to be finishing up my wrapping of gifts and not playing on computer.

Nothing much going on here, except that I've attended the church Christmas play on Sunday which was surprisingly good, considered it was written by our musical director.
THen Monday evening there was the manger scene set up indoors as the weather's wet and dreary.
Wet again today, and foggy. Visibility was bad, I drive like a turtle and today, I drive like a turtle's great grandma.

CHristmas is all about remembering our Holy Father who's born to die for us.

So, in remembering Him, I wish all my sisters and brother a very Blessed Christmas, and may God's blessings and mercy, overflow your cups.

Last night, my truck got bogged down at Sis Carolyn's place.
I missed the driveway in the rain, and with a bad right eye.. thank God it's at her place, if not I had to call in a wrecker.
Her DH had to bring me home, and this morning, with a tractor and the help of his nephew, I got my truck back.
Kel has changed so much, that he didn't even bother to offer help, nor call them.

Anyway.. here's a card for all.

They kept me going, seriously, like today.

Sis Carolyn's DH had parked my truck in the middle of the dirt road, in front of the house. I went to move it in my pjs, and trying to back it up into my driveway, I missed the gate, instead landed in my iris bed.. one wheel won't budge!!! Yep. bogged down again.
Kel was out at some ungodly place and when I finally got hold of him, he was fit to be tied down with his cussins.
Saying money will be gone to a wrecker.. so on and so forth..
Told him that it will be fine, and there's no need for a wrecker yet.
Just as I said that, this young man was walking along the road, with a rifle across his shoulders. I recognised him.. happens to be a neigbour's nephew.
He saw the mess I'm in, decided to call up his cousin, who by chance has a four wheeler, and most important, chains/
They got the truck out in no time, and Kelvin drove up in time to see them leave, and he admitted that the way I had maneuvered the truck in the iris patch, there's no way he could move it with his truck.

So.. God sure looked out for me again. Yep, in my jammies, I was.. hair disheveled, and I am pretty sure the cousins had a tale to tell when they got home.
My second bog down.. two days in a row.. and SHAME on Kelvin for cussing and not thanking the guys. Yep.. that man has changed so much.

Can I pray for Karma???
