really need to get going on the spring clean up - have only had one day so far to be in the yard.
weather in the garden # 138
wicked windy today. high wind warnings
Sunny now, but rain coming in at noon.....need to get out there while the day is still dry.....a house was struck by lightning & burned yesterday....very close to my son's.....used to be owned by Whoopi Goldberg, think summer folks must own it now since no one was home & the storm hit at 2:30 in the morning.....
I hope that the house did not burn. 52° here, but colder air is supposed to move in. sunny
The addition to the house burned but they were able to save the main structure.......partly cloudy here today, cool for the end of April!
Temp in the 40s It is supposed to remain cool with the low 50s as a high. overcast.
east of me had snow, I was lucky and only got rain showers
In the 40s tonight, supposed chance of showers tomorrow.
Temp drop is such a tease! Grass is getting green, though.
Only made it to 45 yesterday with on & off snow & sleet showers.....today, 50 & windy! Not a good day for gardening....
high winds kept us out of the garden today
mid 40's today
High was only 44 yesterday......only 37 when I picked up my grandkids at the bus stop, with a nasty wind off of Tyler Lake....it was warmer on Christmas Day!
sunny but in the 40s today. DH working in the garden. Too cold for me.
I worked about an hour yesterday.....too cold today....
46° & overcast
Clouding up now after a sunny start....a few showers predicted today.....
WORKED OUTSIDE ALL DAY YESTERDAY - WAS NOT THAT BAD.
DH doesn't think so either. I do.
Hey!
It's really spring now - you all need a new thread (458+ replies!).
I vote we change the thread when the weather changes (soon I hope). I was out all day Sat and sunday, in shirtsleeves. working like a farm hand. It warms up that way, and the yard looks more peaceful, less ravaged by winter. Doesn't quite feel like April and now it's almost May.
Had my garden rototillled yesterday & I planted beets, carrots, kale, lettuce, & Chinese cabbage.....we had a shower during the night, so now all I need is warm sun!
44° misty after an overnight rain.
Was a wonderful day to spend outside.
yes, it went up to 59° cooler tomorrow, but I don't know how much cooler.
