Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old/new
Wow, smiling ... Was beginning if Santa was having trouble finding your place, Judy!! ☺ So glad you like everything!
Dianne, I've been missing you. So glad you are up and running again. Don't these computers give you high BP sometime? Yet what in the world would we do without them! Sigh ... Yes, how are the furbabies?
Mary, how wonderful to see your post! Guess you don't have time to read anymore, what with all you've been up to! That sounds awesome!!
Katie, hugs for you, and so glad you have the same nurse. Prayers ...
Betty, the cookbooks sound just beautiful. I've been getting my Mom to write down recipes in her own writing ... Wish I could get them in a book for my great niece. She's only 7, but one day she'll appreciate something like that. I have my Grandmother's graduation invitation, also. I have my Grt Aunt's Bible with her clippings just as she left them ... I'm very sentimental. LOL
M, Barb, Katie and everyone else going through illness ... my prayers are with you.
Okay, need to get up from here. Y'all have a blessed rest of the day.
Yoohoo Deb ... we miss you!
yaay Mary's back - so nice to see you posting again!!
Dianne - how's Diesel?
Katie - you're are such an upbeat lady - glad others are upbeat right along with you!
Barb - prayers for you.
Betty - wow, what a project - one I could get into. No, not asking for what the program is.. have enuff to do lol
Nanny - new here? we all re-new ourselves here. Every day we're a little bit different - more to praise for, more to worry about, but we are all here for each other no matter what!
I've been with this group for.....errrrr ummm a long time.... but it always seems like we're new every day, and I'm always in awe of the wonderfulness of this group. Such a blessing
Love & prayers to all of you - my blessed friends and all surrounding you :-)
Thanks for the new room Betty ..
Waving hi to everyone .. good to see Dianne and Mary posting ..
I'm just gonna be a bit quiet for a bit, I am on overload right now .. my brain feels as though it may explode ..
All is OK .. just this WAITING for a diagnosis, a FER SURE diagnosis as to what Gord has ..
Will pop in as I can
Hugs all around
~M~
"M"sending warm hugs along with prayers .
Susan your thoughts about the thread all all who drop in was heartwarming..
Reality is we all need each other in our own way...
"M", I sure wish I was closer to give you a shoulder to lean on or just to talk to.
Judy, don't make us wait too long for you to post pictures.
Hello To All;
As thought you would........ you all have me grinning ear to ear.... like I've come home after a long journey.
(HUGS) Marilynn... will have to catch up ...
Barb - looking at my quilters cookbook just last week. Norm doing well? how are those handsome grandsons ? (HUGS) Betty ... would have been super for you to drop in the shop! Lance would not admit it but I do think he enjoys it. He mentioned being down today... it's just that we aren't making money and hard for a (okay I'll be a bit sexist here) hard for a man to make $0 working long hours and has to ask his wife for a dollar.
Times are hard but they will pay off.... little rewards pop up time and again but back to what Lance enjoys... when I left tonight he was drawing a masterpiece on our chalkboard. He really is so talented. AND he loves flirting with ....er .... I mean talking with the customers.
LOL
The whole project has brought out a lot of his talents. He just completed a rustic shelf which now holds our candles and odds/ends for sale. Totally his idea and labor of love.
Great to see Joycet, LK, Nanny you'll adore this group...this family
Katiebear... missed sending Santa pressies/mardi gras beads... maybe next year. You sound great.
waving at SusanTallulah.
Suse101.... In 2013 I finished a "Bucket list" item by reading the bible. (One of those verse a day pamphlets and read them off the computer). We experienced several miracles, one might call coincidences, with this project of opening the coffee shop.
When I recounted these to a friend he recommended "The Law Of Attraction" and it took me a very long time to finish that book and I plan to re-read it.
I am learning so much. Can't believe I missed Moonie's visits to the cafe ! Would love to know what she thought....
(HUGS) to all
Mary
lol Mary - you remembered! *waving right back atcha*
Betty - it's how I feel about this group - We're all a bit "broken" but the glue in this group will help mend us all - each in the way we need, if we'll only let it........
Sometimes I find me denying myself, but I eventually come around, and return full force, to find I've been missed and That is heartwarming, indeed.
thought you'd all get a kick outta this.
just one thing - Canuck is pronounced incorrectly lol

Morning everyone! Susan, that was so cute!
That was cute Susan,. I can't imagine the mispronuncuation though.
Betty, are you sleeping in today?
Morning,
Goodness no IndiaKay been up since about 4:30am.
Kind of divided my day so I could take naps. Lol
Did a few hours on the quilt, likely an hour or less and it comes off the frame ready for binding
Then I typed out another 20 recipes for the cookbook so that is a bonus
Sitting watching a Christmas movie and have a box of scraps, cutting into blocks, strips etc
To organize ..
If they don't meet 3",4"'5" squares or 1. 1/2,2",3" strips the garbage it goes
Relaxing really
Susan loved the 12 days of Christmas
Mary, sounds like Lance has found his niche..hard I know but things will take an upswing I'm sure.
How are the kids dong?
Drats, haven't seen Missy since last night..she did go out, thought she had come back in
She is so quiet, often hides
I've checked every corner of the house, nowhere to be found
Have no idea where Missy's hiding place is but out she came
Heart just a pumping, I'd have been lost without her
What are you all up to today
"M" and Katie you both haven't been far from my thoughts today
Sending prayers
My Santa Warren box was shipped out today, should be there on Saturday. HOWEVER with our
lovely snow storm, it may be Monday.
Mary, so so happy to see you post!!!
Dianne, welcome back too, glad the laptop is up and running. Saw you were getting this storm
also.
(((M & Gord)))) Hugs and prayers
Katie, I think of you every day and pray all goes smoothly and you get home soon. Big
hugs!!!
Bessie Lou...get to the doctor or I am calling Sharon, Mama Fran and Aunt Muriel!!!
Did she ever get that other $1 she needed for the grandkids?
Waving to all....trying to keep up, trying to breath....
Hugs
Debbie
No I don't think she did Debbie. Think Sharon's in Orlando at her dog show and mamma Fran well she is busy, knows I'm sick and knows better than to come ..seems to go and right back, hacking like crazy
Just having a bite to eat and to bed I go
Say the storm is coming our way Debbie, here is hoping it stays south of us, don't want to shovel
Debbie, think its on it's way
Checked and warning is on for during night and early a.m.
Betty, I wonder if the water caused a mold issue in the house, and that is what has you coughing so? In the floor & walls down stairs. You don't always see the mold spores. Best get checked.
If you could ask Aunt Muriel tomorrow for me, I will get it in the mail ASAP. I think I found one and is in my car if Shane didn't swipe it.
We have about 2 inches snow right now, supposed to be more tonight, but it has stopped.
Stay warm and safe.
Betty, please call your Dr. in the morning, or go to urgent care. You have had this way too long.
Betty - take it from one who knows - mould can really play havoc with your system - Bob didn't notice it (why, I don't know - it was in HIS corner of the den where he has his computer desk and on his system 50% of his "home time"), but I sure did - remember how sick I was last year?
He touched the wall, and it was "spongy". We cut it out, and eventually had to take 4ft of roof, all of one wall inside and out.... the wall was truly rotten. He had to watch his stepping when on the roof so he didn't go through it - and all because of mould, caused by the previous owner cutting into the roofline and doing a poor patch job. He did this, to create an extra room out on the deck and join it to the main house. Lots of good intentions, but very little skill.
All caused by the mould, and poor craftsmanship.
Knitting like crazy - have about 7" left to do on the shawl center...... and then to knit the border and then attach it..
Went out to our Community Center's monthly dinner tonight - Turkey and all the fixin's! and all FREE. We go every month, the 2nd Wednesday. It was really good. The fellow from Renfrew Church that usually goes, didn't show up this time - don't know if he forgot, or fell asleep (both good possibilities - he does it regularly....)
Morning all,
Susan, by end of weekend it should be ready to ship or did you decide bob will fly to. Visit with son.
Thoughts are with those who need prayers sending both prayers and warm hugs
Thanks for your concern, not mould, everyone is experiencing same..they say the flu shot helps 2 of 3 strains but the 3rd is something else..few friends have been I'll for about a month..over 2 weeks for me.
So nauseated, still in bed
Good day to do so, sowing
After what Buffalo got a few weeks ago I dare not complain..then they say warm temps for Saturday and likely melt it all and maybe white Christmas..no wonder so many aren't well
Morning everyone. Getting ready for another trip to San Antonio for a Dr. follow up. Also going to get the rest of my Christmas sopping done. I will be back Saturday morning sometime.
Safe travels Linda.
All Christmas sewing is done, still need to do shopping. Then wrapping...UGH
Betty, what is the name of that pattern? It is so pretty. Oh, so many patterns to choose from, and never enough time to make them all!
You are ahead of the game then Karen..
This year everything went into Christmas bags vs boxes wrapped.
Would sleep but Riley is pawing me while she purrs loudly
It's a tutorial on Missouri quilt drop hourglass I think it's called
Should embroider tags for the back of quilt with name and date, has to be done soon or they will be gone and too late to add hen
Most of mine is shopping not sewing. We don't exchange adult gifts, So I have all the under 18's to shop for. Got their lists and getting my head in order then usually try to get it all in one day.
You've little ones so that should be a lot of fun karen
Finding it hard this year, 3 out of 4 wanted $$$$ not my thing, rather buy something but their major gift should be something they can use and sooo $$$ it will be
after only getting 1 1/2 hours sleep the other night, I slept 11 hours last night! WOW
Put me a little behind on my knitting lol
I don't know how long it will take to do the border, but I'm back knitting the center now.
Prayers for your Dr visit, Karen......
Betty - missed so much on this thread, that I didn't realize it was something "going around" re: your being sick. You managed to stay healthy when the first round got sick, so it may mean after they start getting well that you're still ill. Glad to hear you're getting plenty of rest. Best thing for you...
I agree with you on preferring to get something, rather than $$$, for a Christmas gift, but it's been this way for years.... I thought you made quilts for everyone?!?! They want an additional gift?
I a lot a few hundred each as main gift then they get pressies, some bought, some homemade..
Yes, did make them each a queen size quilt..hand sewing it now as I watch the snow blow.
You will soon have it done Susan, you can catch up now that you've rested well.
Think this is the 1st time in years.my bed hasn't been made, keep gravitating there. Lol
Dr visits were fine, just routine. Mostly because unless something is really bothering me, I don't mention it. I won't agree to go for routine tests either as I am anti-test, for many reasons.
Nice to have that over and done with Karen
Everyone on the street is busy shovelling out, should get steps and walkway to basement done but won't, tomorrow is another day..
We're looking at a bit of a warm up, anything will be appreciated.
Say by Saturday most will be gone..more water for sump pump. Lol
Hot chocolate time..managed to hand sew binding..done with the grandchildrens quilts
I dragged my sorry butt out of bed and went to work this morning. After taking three days off, bedridden with coughing crud. Five days off totally. But two were my days off. This sh#@ sucks.
ANYWAYS. .. darling hubs sends me a text. You got a box. It's big and heavy. .
big tease. A couple texts back and forth and he would not tell me where it was from.
Bugger
I am expecting something to go with my box I am now very late in sending out.
so I spend afternoon wondering if it's that. Or Santa Warren pressie! !?? Torn between which I am more excited for it to be....
