Hello
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
My job is done! This house is clean and organized and polished even.
I am so Thankful to each and everyone. You've stood by me in the last couple of crazy years and I am one lucky lady tohave your friendships.
Please be safe and enjoy all festivities with family and friends.
We have sort of an open house for this day with our usual family company and all the kids friends will trickle through. We enjoy that they all feel comfy enough to stop by...lol plus Jake gets help to load firewood. Going to have a prayer fire.
I am extending my arms tightly around each of you.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends new/old
Hot turkey sandwhich, dressing, turnip, Lordy wnder which of our restaurants serve it today..hmmm think Swiss chalet, just might join in if I get energetic enough to drive to midland.
Waving Judy, I'd have a prayer fire if only you would come and clean the pit so I could have a clean fire. So many here are in need of prayers, please include our needs as well
Perhaps that is what Dianne was trying to do!
Hey Judy, glad to hear your place is all cleaned and polished. Enjoy uour company and big armwraps right back to you.
Waiving back Betty.
Enjoy your turkey sandwich.
Oh yes everyone in our DG family is always in my prayer fire.
There really isn't a day that anyone is not in my thoughts and good wishes.
Lol...I hate waiting. Everything is done and we still have 4 minutes until company arrives.
Drumming fingers on table. Giggle, giggle. I figure if I don't move nothing will get messed up.
Wink, thanks Linda kay!
Are you home and did your family come?
Oh boy Jake just loaded fire wood so I gotta jump up and sweep the floor again, sigh.
We are home and it is just Todd and I. Getting ready to make mashed potatoes, and put the ham in the oven.
We will deep fry a turkey for Christmas dinner.
Judy .. you're a sweetie (one of many)
LOL re sweeping up .. LOVE wood heat, but OYE the mess !!
LindaK, bursitis was the precursor to my hip replacement .. I had trochanteric bursitis in the early 2000 .. was walking 5-6 miles a day back then, PLUS working .. my right hip got incredibly angry .. Dx .. bursitis, I was given Celebrex, and, it didn't really work, but, it fixed my groaning neck LoL
YUMmmmmmmmmmmmm .. turkey sammiches .. with cranberry and mayo .. can hardly wait til the 26th!!
Got a little more shopping done .. bought lottery ticket gift packs .. a small grocery shop too .. Gord is pretty tired, he doesn't sleep well at night despite pain meds and prednisone .. so .. he sits in the Lazy boy lounger (the PARALYZER) during the day, but, with 3 dogs barking for NO reason every 15 minutes or so, he can't catch a solid hour uninterrupted .. at least he is resting ..
Best get movin here, cat wants chow as do the pups ..
HUGE hugs to all
~M~
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
"M" I just read the news, I am so sorry...thoughts and prayers and big big hugs for sure.
Everything is ok here, no flooding. Light snow flurries off and on.
Only had Shane and Kyle for dinner, with their girlfriends. Poor DH has put up with
a very tearful woman for two days. No sign of the girls, Not even my Thanksgiving messages were answered.
Shane helped me so much in the kitchen and with cooking, then, I went to help him...moved a lid, and didn't realize it just came out of the oven. OUCH. Yep, another wicked burn.
Other than that....stuffed and waiting for pies later.
Enjoy your evening everyone and stay safe....
Debbie
Hoped you would drop in Debbie
Two great boys you have, sometimes although hurtful you just have to say " to heck with them" know you had hoped to see the little one..sad state of affairs for sure.
Ouch on the burn
Not sure how one can be perfectly fine and within an hour sore throat, sniffles and fever...don't want to tell the girls not to come so I'll organize them and perhaps they will have to take them home and do at their leisure so betty can go to bed..opted for Kraft dinner, that's about all I can handle.im up to staying in bed for a few days, will have to get out of my Jammie's though seeing the plumber is coming to nstall the battery system
Did turn on all the lights outside and in the living room, makes me feel warm and toasty
Are you all stuffed
I
had a wonderful day with fantastic food and warm hugs. It was great with many laughs and and a few tears of remembrance for those who have passed on. I love our tradition of holding hands for grace and prayer. It brings such a feeling of contentment and completeness to me. Hope it never ends......
My son and his family were such a great addition to the day. Along with phone calls from others who are far away... Glad to be home safely now and in my jammies ready for a rest....
Hope you all had a great day too.
Is there a link to the Santa Warren Christmas Exchange where people post what they would like to receive?
I will set one up just below the start of the thread Susan, easier to follow one one head
Barb, glad you are home and ready to cuddle in and had a great time with the family. Will you meet again before Brandon goes home? Make any plans to paint with Sean?
Rita is here, guiding her through making a no see quilt she bought when we were in Buffalo, Janice soon to arrive
Looking forward to seeing pics of No Sew quilts....... How quickly can they be made?
You mean you'll put one at the beginning of each new thread?
Otherwise I can look for the very first of our threads and find it there

Stuffed is not the word! Sitting in the recliner trying to keep eyes open.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Betty. Get some rest, and I hope you are feeling better soon.
Just sore throat and chilled..girls are here working on their Christmas piece, Rita is gong to the fabric shop for 6:30 am and hopes to bu her machine and ne for Janice
I'm upstairs trying to not stand ver their shoulders..sometimes it just seems so awkward how they work that you are tempted to say let me do it
Yes Susan, watch for the next thread, I will star one tomorrow and ut all the nfo a the beginning that way as each receives we an mark it received and photo's of what we received can be shared here
Think that is how Dianne wanted it.

Betty, I think Susan is looking for a list of likes and dislikes?
Katie, how did you spend your day? Hope it was a good one
how wonderful you got to meet Tim's mom and enjoy Thanksgiving with her.
Made you feel special right?
LindaKay and Susan
think we didn't do likes/dislikes for this swap as we know each other so good and felt confident that the Santa Box would be just perfect
yes, LK - that is exactly what I'm looking for "Likes and Dislikes"
But, you're right - I know my buddy pretty well lol
Morning .. such as it is this COLD November day (-8F)
Re Likes/Dislikes .. there was a list last year, sure helped me out with the gift box I put together :-)
Gord got a call from our doc last evening, he is pushing to have the bone marrow aspiration done this coming week. I feel sick ..
And, DGS, Austin, is having his horrible tonsils out on Tuesday .. was supposed to have been March sometime, but, it got moved up.
Trying to remain positive .. tough job ..
Glad to hear y'all had good suppers .. FEAST on those 'sammies' today .. YUmmmmmmmmm.
~M~
Morning all
18f here this mornimg..ground was visible last night, not so this morning, plowman has already been..can't believe they say it will be in the high 40's Sunday
"M" prayers for you and yours, worry just seems to keep coming your way
Doc is moving quickly spso that is a plus for Gord..poor Austin..both must be frightened.
Must go look at last year's thread, I don't remember likes/dislikes but must be there and when I find I will bring them over.
Meant to ask LindaKay, bursitis pain, can the doctor not prescribe legal marijuana ..heard Rita speak of her brother who takes it and most of his pain is gone..Lordy this getting older isn't what it's said to be
Still under the weather, imagine, was still in bed at 8am, unheard of..seems I've lost the entire morning but then again I did say this would be a rest weekend
Thought I would have heard from Rita, she was gong to Barrie this am for the Black Friday sale in order to buy 2 sewing machine, one for her and one for Janice..here is hoping it was not for not and she slept in
Waiting till 9am then calling the plumbing company incase they forgot I was on the work schedule
How many of you are out doing the black Friday sales
No shopping for me today. I wish we had legal marijuana here, but Texas is not one of the States that it is legal. Maybe someday! Besides that, with Todd working for the government, it would be a big no no here. He could lose his job.
"M", everything happens for a reason, and I am glad to hear things are moving quickly for Gord. Will keep you all in our prayers!
Betty, I do hope she is still not standing in line for her machine.
POW!!!
Went back in my DMails to last year ..
Dianne sent me my Santa Warren recipients name and addie, and, she included a few likes an dislikes of that person :-)
Was beginning to think I had dreamt that LoL
Good luck with the plumber Betty, hope he didn't forget ..
Gord is off to do his Friday 'canoodling' with his buds ..and, I am about to take on SHAW TV again !!
Got my online bill yesterday, as of January it'll be up over $110.00 a month !!! Seems ridiculous when the TV in the bedroom only gets watched at night ..course trying to deal with them is like trying to get a meeting with Obama or Harper !!!
Gobbelty gook spews out and the consumer sits on the other end of the line stewing ..
Maybe I'll ask Lorna to do it, she's more assertive than I am ..
Hope Rita got the machines ..
Off to fight Corporate Canada .. LoL
~M~
I distress over our cable bill all the time, especially as I very seldom watch it. What it boils down to is not the cable, but the internet. Nothing there I want to give up so just suck it up and pay it.
Rita called, said the hardest thing was driving to barrie at 6am but managed to get her and Janice's machines, quilting foot, threads, needles etc, even bought. 1/4 foot so she is a happy amper. Her daughters and SIL are about 6'4-6'6" so tomorrow she will try the machine out, will come and work on flannel pants so guess my entire weekend won't be rest but then it's my regular type resting.
I pray Roger's "M" and they are no better than the other major providers although the service is great..get telephone, wifi and tv channels which are mani including movie channels and it's $215 a month
Might do Gord the world of good getting out with his male friends
You take some time for you, nice bath and good thoughts.
LindaKay, not legal here either except if the doctor prescribes it for pain such as yours..think Rita says he's allowed to grow x amount of plants for medicinal purposes only other than that it is a no no
Sitting here, took neo citron, on the couch watching tv while base coating 4 wine glasses blue. Should have another project at hand while I'm waiting for pant to dry.
Looked around for a box for my Santa Warren gift box, can't fnd one..a must tomorrow so I can post it Monday morning.
Rita said she checked flights for Florida, even out of Buffalo they want almost 1k, not paying that when I've a flight booked for April 3rd which isn't that far away soooo think as I might not be at Dar's for Christmas I will post her tranquility quilt at same time.
