Oh Black Bean Chilli is good too with a dollop of sour cream!!
I didn't make the conventional recipe, just a simple one.
Brown about 2 pounds of ground meat, add a pack of fajita seasoning.
Add a large can of diced tomatoes then stir in a can of refried beans.
I used two cans of black beans. Add some liquids, depending on how thick or thin you want your chilli. Season if needed.. that's when Julio's or Cajun seasoning comes in.

Sisters, and brother Ernie, I said a special prayer after he left for work.
If you know the story of prophet Elijah, who wanted to restore the House of Israel, returned it back to God...
How he cried for God to destroy the prophets of Baal, before the House can be restored.
That was my prayer today. I am not vindictive, but Kel has been seduced by evil and I proclaimed that Jesus destroy these prophets one by one, so that Kel can rededicate his life to Christ.
So pray that with me sisters and brother Ernie.
He is still a good man, just lost.

Good morning and thank you LK and Barb and every one that stands in agreement with me in prayers.
After i had posted that specifying my prayers, I told myself it's too much of a request and kept telling myself that I will delete that in short while.
But got busy with Unnamed who cried for hours, inconsolable. Then having to fix his dinner for he returns home at midnight (overtime instead of off)
Was so exhausted that I crashed after he ate.

God has a reason for that unusual prayer to be left there. Guess I need all the prayers if I sincerely want Kel to rededicate his life to Christ.

My heart is free of guilt. Focusing on what I'm supposed to do around here, but still can't start that sewing machine!
Unnamed's cries were so pitiful. She rejected the other female cats, and wouldn't be still with me.
Strangely enough, it's only Kel that can hold her in his hands, and she'd be calm. But he had to be asked to do it.

Got meatloaf in the oven. Make my own sauce with crushed tomtoes, mustard, apple cider vinegar and brown sugar.
Used crushed potato chips instead of breadcrumbs. First try... hope that works!

Prayers always coming from this household Jaye. Why is it so hard to accept the fact that most of "the millions of things" we have on our shoulders come by our lack of acceptance that we put most of them there? It is always easier to blame someone else rather than accept the obvious.

Not at my perkiest today. Had a dental appointment yesterday to start the work on repairing the tooth I broke. Luckily it will just be a crown that is needed but the bad part is it is on the very back of the lower gum. Have to have quite a bit of "surgery" to expose the area in order to repair the tooth. Oh my but I am going to "baby" myself today!!!! Gives new meaning to sore!! This too shall pass.

Having some really hard rain complete with all the lighting displays and sound effects. Flood warning are already issued for this area......thankfully I am on high ground.

Need to go see what the "foster" babies are doing and check on the Bobbi Bad Cat.

Marion, I know your a bit on the sore side today, so please take it easy, and eat soft foods for a few days please? Well, I guess you can have chocolate, as that melts in your mouth! :) Hope you heal quickly!

Just put a small roast in the oven with red and white potatoes and some sweet potatoes. Carrots, onion, garlic, and parsnips finished it off should make a nice lunch.

Think it is time to heatpad my back I pulled it wrong yesterday when I stumbled.

savannah had a temper tantrum. DOn't know why ? she is just being a girl i guess. LOL . I think she was more frusterated with me and my aching body and tired bones ? maybe my tone was not the most helpful ? anyway i told her enough and when her attitude is better we can talk about her party.

I should have gone out early this AM to check on my plants while it was still cool out. Now it is too hot to do anything. Even having a hard time talking myself into doing some laundry. Really should be able to do yard work at night when it is so cool out.

Hard to get up at all. It hurts until I am standing but then I move very slow.

No, her eyes aren't open yet - Jaye said only 2 weeks old, and could be a bit yet - usually open around the 2 week mark, so isn't surprising. Poor wee thing...........

Sue gal, what did I say about molasses. You got to try that!! I still drink my molasses tea, but had avoided it these two days, and I'm feeling the lethargy.

DROVE tonight, to a bible class. More like preaching actually, and I am happy that the 10 minute drive was okay as its along familiar roads.
Legs haven't failed me yet, and I am forcing myself to walk without a cane.
Joy will be when I can walk a straight line!!

Not much going on here. Weather is getting a bit cooler, and I am not complaining. I still have a few moon flowers, morning glories, as well as the mexican petunias blooming. Not much else.

What little we had here is done done done. Houseplants are back in and moping in the house.

Since my son isn't working they had him sign up for Medi-Cal (state insurance) so doctor wanted to send him to orthopedic doctor now insurance is asking why. Why give him insurance if they won't see what is going on with his back. He has scoliosis (don't know if spelling is right) and has had it for years, always getting worse. His blood work is good, he is anemic (must run in the family as I always had that trouble) and his psa test if good, that I will always worry about. In 2 weeks he has another doctor appointment and will find out if they will send him to one.

Went to the store, the 99 cent store had Dryers ice cream, cinnamon bun, so I had to get it. Stopped at another store and got more groceries, and when we got home, Tim was taking it out of the back of the truck when the lid came off and we had all this ice cream all over everything. He ended up taking the hose to clean out the truck. It isn't nice playing in melted ice cream!! I just don't need another day like this, but the ice cream was very good.

Cinnamon bun ice cream sounds good. Our fav. cider mill down state has apple pie ice cream that is sooooo good. I have some Blue Bunny no sugar added Banana split ice cream, thinks I need some now.

I could write a book about miserable. Monday after the hawk in the shop episode I twisted my back a bit. Actually a bit to much. Today I went to the dr not my regular dr but a vascular surgeon. Asked her for a mussel relaxer she referred me to my primary care dr. I said he wasn't in the office this is Wednesday. She said someone in his office must be covering for him. I said been going to this guy for 35 years and never seen anyone covering for him.

Went over there yes I got the run around The scheduler was kind of rude and I wasn't going to sway her she said I could go to emergency sheesh . I get it take two aspirins and come back when you are well and feel good lol.

I go home get on the heating pad and as long as I hold still all is well. I tried to get up and slipped to the floor. Boy did that hurt now I started trying to get up no can do Charlie Brown. I tried several schemes to no avail Move the wheel chair closer move it further move it to the left no try the right. Then Linda gets an idea I will call 911 I say no. 10 minutes later she offers it again, NO sheesh, I am still on the floor. Now she threatens 911 again and I once more say no she tells me I can't lift you. I realize you can't lift me I can get up. After an hour on the floor I made it past the pain and got on the couch and from there I got up..

Ernie whatever you do DO NOT put Dry Heat on your back ,it has to be moist ! I have had back problems for years and dry heat will make it worse !!!! It is even best to alternate moist heat and ice packs. Ibuprofen is good to take if your allowed ,it reduces inflammation .Rub any kind of liniment on your back (have Linda do it) . Honest to pete even vicks vapor rub .And Magnesium is a muscle relaxer ,I take 1000mg every night .When laying flat put pillows under your knees to take tension off of your back . If you ever (God forbid) get down on the floor again have Linda put a kitchen chair near you so you can slowly pull yourself to the belly position on the seat and then bring another to shove under your butt and then slowly transfer yourself to the setting position to then be able to stand. Ok enough lecturing from Dr Synda ......LOL

Rick started his new job Monday .As of last night he has 37 hrs in after 40 the overtime kicks in.He took a .75 pay cut ,but the overtime will make that up plus .And he doesn't have to drive because the guy that got him the job drives so cheaper gas .And it is closer to home. We won't have ins. until January but that is even better ins. than what we had .And after 90 days he should get a $2 an hour raise .But on the downside his last employer did not put his last pay in the bank yeaterday (we have direct deposit) Such an A$$ Wipe ! But Ryan read on the computer that they are legally not allowed to hold it longer than the next pay period ,and if they do to contact the Dept of Labor and they will help .But with living from pay to pay and disconnect to disconnect and not getting it has really put a hurt on us for this moment. Ryan has been a God Send helping with groceries and some bills ,we are So So So Very Blessed !!!

Everyone have a safe ,pain free and stress less day ............Between the stress of no pay and the rain I have taken a wicked ride on the fibro pain bus ,so I'm just going to be lazy today !

Ernie, so sorry to hear you got the run around with the Dr.'s. Not fun when your in so much pain! I would have gone to the ER! Find an urgent care place if you don't like the ER! And what is this about the hawk in the shop?
