oh Jaye - how terribly scary!! You need to take some of those Blu-blockers in the car for yourself! Bob & I each carry a pair, hooked on the visors. They're great, even the cheap "knock-offs" are better than nothing. Good on those rainy days when there's glare off the puddles or off that s*&% in the winter.
God is definitely looking out for you, my sister - and no, HE doesn't want you just yet. HE told me so in one of my prayers to HIM :-) HE wants you to stay here as his earthly angel.
Sue - sorry to hear about your energy loss and being so tired.
Take some iron supplements, girl!!
Rm 296 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel
Bless you Susan for being told that I do have a purpose here. God does speak to us, through others.. when we're too consume with selfish pitiful thoughts to listen to Him.
Sue, try making a warm tea of molasses each morning. Hot water and a tbsp. of unsulphured molasses. Since you're not diabetic, you could add another tbsp.
I had to return to that tea just to help me keep moving.
So far, I've detailed the bathroom! Lol!
Jaye, I am so glad to hear HE was watching over you. Please be careful!
For those of you who were talking about going to Applewood Farmhouse last get together, here is one of their famous recipes. Enjoy.
http://www.knoxnews.com/knoxville/food-and-dining/southern-comfort-cookbook-features-recipes-from-applewood-farmhouse-restaurant_61997091
Yum! We did eat there and both of those recipes come with every meal.
That recipe sounds yummy!
That Applewood Julep, hmmm.... need to add rum or vodka :D
......rum.........!!
I concur!!

today i m making Tom apple dumplings. Love them !!!! good thing i go to the gym tomorrow LOL .
i will try some of that tea , sounds good.
not much else going on here.
Just read on Facebook about your scary ride to Walmart, Jaye. Thank God, your angel was riding with you.
Had good night sleep the last couple of nights. Hope it continues, helps a lot not to have weird dreams. It has cooled down a little, but not enough to make me happy. Since it is October we should be getting a break.
For sure I will try NOT to leave WM close to 6 pm Sue! I drink the tea only in the morning Sue. Don't want to overdo the sugar in molasses.
Jesus took the wheel Pegi!
Hopefully the dreams were just a manifest of the days' anxieties Pegi, nothing else.
Perhaps you can try chamomile tea to relax you before bedtime.
Gonna crash early.. brain dead here which is a good thing for me!
Love to all.. good night.
Yum apple dumplings. We had a small bakery up here that made awesome ones. Sara Lee bought them out but wisely kept the dumplings. Come frozen six in a box with a cinnamon sauce to heat up & pour over, with ice cream of course.
Sweet dreams and a good nights sleep to all.
Oh man, those dumplings sound good!
Sweet dreams everyone!
Good morning everyone.
I slept well and hope you all did too.
Sue, fix that cup of molasses tea, you'd see the difference in your energy.
Karen, I never had apple dumplings. Apple fritters, apple pies, apple pudding, apple flan, apple cobbler but not dumplings.
Will be doing something constructive today. More search for online jobs, and definitely not database entry that pays like a $1 an hour.
I am really looking forward to what God has prepared for me... and you too Susan... job wise.
Oh why didn't I take that travel agent course when I had the money. Could be a freelance ticketing agent by now :D
Keep sis Kathy in your prayers please. She wasn't her usual self last night, had to take painkillers to numb the pain.
Thanks Jaye
I really need to do the course I paid for - accounting - it's not the full-blown diploma, but I did pay for it, and it would help me in my job search, right?
Absolutely Susan, that's fortifying your resume girl!
Good luck on the job search Jaye.
Sending prayers for Kathy.
Apple dumplings are simple. peel & core an apple, wrap dough around it and bake. I.m thinking the dough has sugar and egg added to make it more dessert like.
Thanks LK. One was OnlineCash and it's for posting links on Google searches. Had to pay a fee, but I cancelled it when I realised it's only good for a couple of months as there are thousands doing it.
Thanks for that explanation, Karen.
If I'm still here, perhaps I'll remember to make them with my own apples. They are tiny, but perfect for apple dumplings! :D
Good morning or is it afternoon yet? Got home late yesterday, tired but did have a good trip.
Had trouble connecting to my sister's internet server most of the time so didn't do much in the way or reading and posting. Joys of living where she does.............
My heart is breaking reading all that has happened while gone. Continuing my prayers for all.
We are currently "fostering" a pair of 7 week of kittens and let me tell you...life is challenging!! Bobbi (my cat) thinks they are her new play toys! They are everywhere and no where all at the same time. Finally had to lock them in kim's room (capital key not working at times) so as to check my emails and do my banking. Fun but a double hand full!
Jaye, you are never, ever out of my thoughts and prayers.......love you dearly.
Glad to hear your back home Marion! Glad to hear you had a good visit. Would love to see those to new kitties!
Welcome home Marion!
I'm laughing my behind off!! You turned Kim's room into a time out for the kitties!!! And here I am with a rabbit hutch for time out Temu!!
Oh yes, it worries me when I don't see any. I have to do a head count before feeding time!
Now you got to be careful when you walk.. those pesky miniature meows love to be underfoot!!
Karen, you'd soon be getting one for yourself!! :D
Well....not saying never because I have had two cats, bottle raised a motherless litter, and my Yorkie raised a kitten after she lost her pup. That kitten BTW was first named Bunny then changed to Walter, lived a very long life spending much of it in doll clothes riding in a baby buggy.
Oh, what the kids put the pets through!
Even adults LK. I dress up Lola, but wouldn't dare to dress the kitties. Lola doesn't have claws!!
Do you have pictures of Walter in drag, Karen? Lolol!
I don't but I bet Katie's mom does. He was the most patient and gentle of cats. Sadly I cannot ask for the photo. Katie's mom is my 1st cousin. She survived breast cancer only to now have the same one I do. Saddest of all she also has Alzheimer's. It's the first it has shown up in our family and is breaking our hearts. Hardest of all her spouse is a naturalist and the one he takes her to took her off her cancer meds. They claim this cancer is the easiest one for them to treat, Thing is, she was in remission before and now it's active again. I don't know maybe he figures it's better that the cancer get her than to live with the Alzheimer's.
Sorry to hear that Karen. Sending prayers.
Prayers for the family, Karen.... how sad......
Prayers from me as well Karen.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
((( kathy ))))

Oh Karen, how sad... prayers said for your first cousin. ****HUGS****
Good morning and I will have another cup, LK, with molasses!
Liking that recipe Sue, easy is my favorite word. Maybe I can sub with apple juice, to intensify the apple flavor? Thanks Sue.
Kel brought in a newborn kitty, left in the middle of the road. One died, and yes.... his rescue . but I can't turn a blind eye on it. Its eyes arent eve opened!
Got it fed and placed in a box, trying to keep it warm.
You should see the other cats, sniffing and Forrest acting as daddy!!
So Lord keeps me busy doesn't He?
Baked chicken on the menu today. Isn't baked chicken the easiest thing to do? Season, put a little water in the pan, cover and bake!
Have a good day everyone!!
Bless you guys for taking care of so many kitties. Any pictures?
Oh please refill my coffee cup LK. I do not know what makes these 2 little "house rats" so active..gonna find out and remove it from their diet!! :-)
Karen, I guess I missed the fact you got a cat...beautiful. Maine Coons are so pretty but to be mixed with ragdoll..wow!!! It is so funny how these things come into our lives and before we realize it...have taken over. I really missed Bobbi Bad Cat while I was gone!! Of course now we are still in the " so you left me for 2 weeks and now YOU want me to LIKE you stage". A few more days and things will be back to normal. Whatever that is.
BTW Karen what do you think of the production of Outlander so far? I am hoping the pick up the rights to do the other books. Pegi keep trying at the library and one of these days it will be yours to read and enjoy.
Well I need to get myself in gear and try to recoup from the vacation. Tonight we are taking my DIL out for a birthday dinner. Will be good to see my son and his family...especially the girls!! Oh how I missed them.
Jaye...sending love my dear.
Coffee cup is filled Marion.
Glad you are home again Marion, we missed you. First off, I did NOT get a cat, It lives in my home. LOL Belongs to oh so lazy DGSs wife. I told her right off that it's her responsibility. if the the cat poops, she scoops. So far so good. It is a cute little thing and is getting comfortable here. Cleo knows she sleeps upstairs but has the run of the house. The dogs don't bother her much, and she don't bother the birds much. Canaries are in a large sturdy flight cage so no worries there.
I enjoyed Outlander, I think they did a good job with following the book. I hate waiting until next year for more. I have cancelled Starz again until then. No one was watching anything else on there.
Enjoy seeing your grand girls. I got a wee visit with some of mine, not enough but then it never is. It's lonely up here, hard to think of yet another winter.
