Rm 296 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

New room ladies.

Fall is here. If you have any pretty fall tree's to post, I would love to see them, as we don't have tree's here.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, we will hold you in our daily prayers till your doing 100% better! I hope your not out in the garden, or trying to drive?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm here... Prayers continue for those in need.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You're such a sweet helper, LK! Thank you.

Susan, what I meant is the pastor shouldn't weigh (Scales) which parishioner he wish to keep and who had to leave. He isn't the manager of the church, Jesus is.

I had promised to continue with what I found yesterday, yes the Lord showed me.
Last night, he came home an hour early. Of course he noticed that the truck had been moved, asked where I went and i sort of improvised. To town I said, to test my driving in the dark.
No questions after that, but the next morning, I snuck out of the house to return to his truck, trying to make sure there are no evidence lying around.
Somehow, I told myself to use the passenger side, and after noticing all is well, he walked out asking what I was up to? This man must be feeling guilty. Thank God, I had convinced him that I was removing Lola's seat for washing as it's beginning to stink....and my hands were too full to carry that in the the house last night.
Follow me so far?
Then I went to my red truck which he used last night, to pick up my umbrella.
There were clothes in the back, soiled that is.. no perfume scent..
Kel knows me very well, that I'm blunt and to the point, and I don't harbor doubts long.
But I got God telling me to be quiet.. listening to Sis Carolyn's advice.. I didn't say anything about the papers. Happened to be a book for a loan by the way, first payment due October 12th. Guess that will be his emergency money.
So sisters, he told me to leave on Sept. 22, and he had this planned way before.. not my doing.
This morning, he told me again that he's adamant on leaving and that he wanted to do so years ago.
Called him out, telling him that he shouldn't lie to me, and let me think everything's alright.
I was calm, sisters, I was calm.
Reassured me that I won't be left out in the cold, and he'd work something out.
I was surprised to tell him that Jesus is listening...

Packed his uniforms for his weekend class, He'll be gone for just 3 days. He had borrowed a thousand, and I'm still doing the bookworks. That's why lately, he had been scrambling for repair jobs out of the shop. So his mother won't see..

This man is lost, sometimes he's back to the old self, gave me some hope. But most of the time, he's aloof and doesn't even play with the kids unless I pressed him to.
Furbabies aren't their usual self.

No matter how long it takes, I'll stay and wait on the Lord. Sounds like a sad sack, but my emotions sometimes fall on the wayside. That's normal right?

I tried to do more in the garden, LK, but the mosquitoes sent me indoors. Funny thing is God has reduced the pain in my legs.

Cookie, you give great tight hugs, I sure need them....bet Karen's isn't far behind

Thanks Karen, Barb, LK, Liz, Lurker, Sue, Susan, Pegi, Ernie, Sis Kathy... Marion if you're lurking.

LK, these are some pomegranates growing in Sis Carolyn's garden. Fall fruits.

(((Jaye )))))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye,I have never had a pomegranate! I could never figure out what part of it to eat?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Waaaaaay back when I was in 6th grade, Pomegranates were a fad food. We used to get them on the way to school and hide them in our desks to eat during class. We used to peel a part then put the seeds in out mouth and squeeze them to the roof of our mouth to get the juice. I haven't had them since but I used to buy them for the parrots, they loved them.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you Sue.

LK, you cut the pomegranate in half and you'd find small ruby kernels. Just eat that, even the seeds. The ones at the store are sweet. Sis Carolyn's are tart which she likes.. not me.

Pomegranate juice has been touted as healthy for us.

good night my sweet sisters and Ernie.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cross posted Karen. I loved my grandma's pomegranates, us kids will fight over the reddest, ripest ones.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

Thanks Jaye, I will have to get one and try it.

I am off to San Antonio for a new spine specialist, and tomorrow I have to see the mammogram clinic again, as my mammogram I had a few weeks ago, show some abnormalities that need attention. I will be back Friday afternoon!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning Linda Kay ,Thank You for coffee !!!
Hope and Pray all goes well with your Dr App's today ........ That is what started my breast reduction was they found a lump that was deep and after a biopsy it was non cancerous as yet ,but they wanted me t then have mammograms every 3-6 mos to watch it .I said NO take them off and problem solved and they said ok . Please keep us posted !!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I just finished slicing zucchini length wise (is that how you say that ?) and have setting in salt to dry out a bit and then will bake at a low temp for a while to dry a bit more ,so I can make Zucchini Pizza Lasagna .

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That sounds good, let us know how it turns out! Did your insurance cover your surgery?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Yes it did Linda Kay ,we had to pay the deductible up front $500 and then 20% .But a little over $900 total for a $23000 surgery .

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!

May everything turns out well for you LK. You've been suffering with your back for too long.
Do have some fabric time while you're in S.A.
Be safe.

When will it be ready Synda? Save a slice for me!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Zucchini pizza sounds good to me too. I love zucchini and I'm hoping to try growing it again next year. Sounds strange to say "next year".

Hang in there Jaye, you are so strong. Wish Kel would consent to counseling. ((((Hugs))))

My SIL reminded us in Facebook it is breast cancer awareness month. Guess I should make an appointment for mammogram. It will be 3 years, funny my doctor didn't mention any thing. I hate to have one, but it is a necessary thing.

Going to be almost 100 again today. I would to see pictures of the trees turning color. I do miss that, although there are a few trees around this area that leaves do turn color.

Hope all goes well for you LK, and prayers for all that need them.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Rainy here today, hope it doesn't ruin the color in the leaves. I'll take some photos next pretty day.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Love you Pegi for encouraging me. Dark clouds are trying their best to stay, but I fix my mind on Jesus.
No, Kel thinks he doesn't need any counselling.
I haven't had a mammogram in 14 years. I hate to be squished!!! ROFL.

Looking forward to your autumn pictures Karen!

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye continue your faith in the father and the son they will stand by you. Kel has another or has illusions of another. Men don't usually leave without another place to go. Be strong pretty lady.

Almost done with the remodel pics coming soon.

It is a beautiful warn, sunny day Indian summer.

LK how is dad you have been quiet or did I miss.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much for your input, from a man's perspective, Ernie.
He kept denying that he has another woman, and that he will move into the shop (at his mtoher's). We'll see. So much lies told today, and he forgets Jesus is listening!!!
But God will reveal and I'm afraid He will just have to lay a heavy boulder on His errant son's head to wake him up :D

You've put so much hours and energy into that remodelling. Linda is one very lucky wife.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Just for you Pegi

Those are beautiful Barb. We have a road here that is very busy in the fall, they call it the tunnel of trees. Hoping to go soon.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So beautiful Barb.. Autumn in NH, seems like a perfect title for a book.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Linda has put up with me for 48 years she is deserving of this and more.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thank you so much Barb. See what I'm missing by not staying in Minnesota! So beautiful.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Gorgeous Barb !
Ernie 48 years ,that is AWESOME !!! Are you going to have a big 50 year blowout ......Rick and I will be 18 years March 28th .
The zucchini Pizza Lasagna was a hit ,especially with Ryan .Ever since he was a baby he has been my veggie nut ! At 27 years old he is a very healthy eater ,always has been ! Now ,Rick on the other hand ,is my junk food junkie .
Have a Dr app tomorrow ,just to get my pills refilled and a flu shot .Rick is changing jobs around the 13th and we won't have any ins for 3 months .I have been a nervous wreck over it (even had 2 separate anxiety attacks yesterday, thank God for xanax).Even though we are drowning financially where he is and they only want to dribble the pay raises .But change scares me ,he has been at this job for 18 years.
Between Rick and work, money in general,my sisters and brother here my prayers daily are 10x longer than my post ......LOL .

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Synda big blow out at 50. I will be lucky if my pacemaker is still working at 50th lol. I know all about the trapped in a job. I resisted change for 18 and a half years where I worked for sqrooge McNelson. I could not have worked any harder or any smarter for anyone . Do you think he returned any of those profits with me . No and when I finally confronted him he said I don't know what I am paying you now. He gave me 14 % which I was happy with until I found out two months later that all I did was catch up with the cleaning lady . Talk about a burn. 17 years of education and a journeyman machinist besides and I caught up with the cleaning lady. I was replaced by 2- 45 year olds and a woman and now five people do the job I did by myself and it is organized chois according to a few friends still there. The two 45 year olds quit one six months later the other about a year ago. I stayed because I got old and afraid no one would want me. Big mistake

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning my fabulous family!

Pegi, you'd be complaining about the winter in Mn, and wished you're back in Ca!!

Synda, may He moves mountains for Rick.

Ernie, I'm so sorry you had to work for a scrooge. A journeyman machinist should make much more than the cleaning lady, definitely!! You are blessed to have Linda standing by you through those years of 'slavery'.
Kelvin has worked for his dad since he was 13. For 33 years, his dad convinced him there's wealth to be made. Which of course, the top 90 percent profits see their way into his parents' pockets. When his dad fell ill, the profits still go to them. Then the semi crash of the used appliance business when the previous govt. signed into law that all used appliances had to be destroyed. He hung in there living on our savings.
It was me that finally moved him to seek employment elsewhere at 45 as there were no retirement plan nor insurance with his dad. Yet, he kept the shop opened during the day and weekends, promising his father he will never close the shop.
I don't see the cash coming in, and when I get upset, a 50 now and then. God led me to believe that he had been slaving for his parents.
After his father died, it's worse. The shop's income goes to his mother, this woman who installed cameras everywhere to make sure not a penny is taken from her.
... and I'm supposed to be a Godly wife.. when she's the wife of a deacon?
I rather he be bled by strangers than his own family. Youngest son only to be born to serve them. He was raised in a Christian household, but led by the wrong spirit.
So... that's part of my cross.

He left this morning for a weekend training in another part of time. Didn't have to check up on this as his cousin who works in the prison office verified this.
I wanted to pack a bible in his carryall, but I know it will just take up space. Better for God and prayers to move him, then me trying to control the situation!!
One thing that he did good was to make out a will before he left. Here in NC, a simple will doesn't have to be notarized.

So sisters and brother, if you haven't made a will yet, do so. You don't want what you have to go to the state or the wrong person!!
Jesus doesn't give you a deadline!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.

Ernie, my Dad is doing very well. Thanks for asking.

I love those fall colors. I sure do miss seeing them. But I don't miss the cold weather.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Well Ernie, it used to be a hard worker could be assured of a job. Not so any more. Hubby was asked by friends he had known for many years to run a machine shop they had purchased. He was told run it like you own it, and for 12 years that's just what he did. Until the economy soured. Owners decided to close the shop and brought the employees to the main company. Hubby was given less duties, told they had to cut his pay, when he protested they told him he could go be a greeter at Walmart. He was forced to stay until I reached 65 so I had insurance coverage. The day I was he was out the door. We sold our home and moved up here to what had been our cottage. Since we have been trying to sell here also so we can move to a bit better climate for my health. He did work for another company down state for a while and lived at our daughters while I was up here. He's 75 and deserves a retirement. But here we sit, house & land poor.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh Karen - it just tears my heart out to hear about things like this happening to a senior. At 60, I thought I had it rough, but to be in this situation at 75............
yes, he deserves a retirement.
It seems no job, in either country, is secure - I hear about people who've been in a job for 30-35 years, with the same company, and think "it won't be so for our younger generations - they want facebook, and more $$ than God, to keep them, and yet they still move on"

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

There is simply no job security or company loyalty any more. If they can get someone younger and cheaper, you are out the door.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

I was

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So true!!! Even a country like Japan, very well known for treating workers as family, has now succumbed to keeping hiring costs down and place importance on profits.

((((((Karen)))))) Sad to hear that DH has to keep working, may his health holds up.

((((Ernie))))) Being betrayed isn't a good feeling. But yet, you've proven to scrooge that you are actually a valuable PERSON, not employee.

((((Susan)))))

LK, hope you get some great answers.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I got good news from the Dr. My spine doc said I have moderate arthritis in my neck that meds can help the pain and for the pain in my shoulder he said it was the beginning of frozen shoulder. I need to exercise more.
Mammogram results say it is just fibroid cysts.
