It's in the addy exchange

Ok Karen, I will take your name off and hopefully next year you an join in

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Thanks, I'll be lurking along.

Ocean Springs, MS

Is it ok to mail to your home address tomorrow?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes, that would be fine

Ocean Springs, MS

Thanks! Finished my snowman glasses! I'll post a pic later!

Victoria Harbour, ON

oh my, I'm excited to see how they turned out..are you pleased with them or not?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well, have my paint roller out and ready to start basecoating

have the floormats sealed as posted above which was step 1

Step 2:

first coat given, as I'm doing 2 different patterns I'm basecoating one in a light blue and the 2nd in a dark blue

depending on which we choose or if you each want to pick which you prefer then you would basecoat light or dark

now it's cool and damp here today so likely take a bit longer to dry between coats grrr
just when I'm on a roll

note of caution, if you don't wait until it's dry then likely when you give the 2nd coat it will lift some of the first.

just decided I have a micro heater, might just plug it in and help things along

STEP 6

big sigh
only allows me to post one photo then the upload images disappear

Victoria Harbour, ON

STEP 7

with a wide brush (I used a sponge brush) I dampened QUICKLY the entire inner section, not where the water is running down, but wet..if it's not wet then the paint in the next step will adhere to it.

I added water to white/dk blue/base coat blue, again not where it will run but ink consistency

quickly slapped on the paint colors helter skelter and as quickly as I did this put plastic bags onto the surface...I didn't have saran wrap/cling wrap as I prefer to use that so when I place my hand on the surface and smoosh it/flatten it I can see what the result will be

quickly remove the plastic, all this step does is add texture to the inner piece

PLEASE don't fret on this part as your snowmen will cover most of it

then remove tape

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Did you put those globs of paint directly on the mat?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes, after wetting the surface I dabbed bits of white, blue,dk blue before topping with plastic and smoothing it around

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

So that second picture, the paint is right on the mat? Why are they so close together?

Victoria Harbour, ON

No, 2nd photo is the 3 colors I used,,tad of water in them to make them flow easier on the Matt I had already dampened.
After brushing with water you could use a wet sponge to apply random color prior to laying plastic or Saran wrap on

Maybe you
Could all find a cardboard and paint lue and try this step on before on the floormat

Might give you an idea of the outcome

I will redo this step re instructions as perhaps I'm not making myself clear

Joyce, I'll be waving to you tis am
