keep looking at the clock, no call from Greg..will wait till he calls me although I'm anxious for news..not had a lot of sleep so hoping gravel and staying up a bit will help. I quilted a piece I had ready and put edging on it so now I have something to sit upstairs, maybe relax, hand sewing does that for me and when I feel my head nod off to bed I go.

Morning has broken and found me ON THE FLOOR at 5am!!
Jeeze what we do not do for theses animals .. Zoey loves to sleep in the curve of my body, chet to wherever her lil paws land .. well .. she shoves back, so, I move back, well, seems I made one too many moves, next thing I new I was slipping off the bed onto the floor .. I will say I did it quietly, and, when i looked up, there were 2 pairs of concerned Westie eyes looking down at me ... Zoey and Piper, and, Lilly came out from under the bed and alerted Gord !!!
He came over and helped me up .. but, I was up to stay .. no damage, no fault ..
GAWD I love prednisone LoL

I'll have to look up those sites for the singers .. I used to have Toni Braxton CD .. she certainly can be bluesy .. but, my Fave is Diana Krall ..

Ohhh sun is already saying good morning, nice to see!

"M" you had me laughing (not in a bad way) but what better way of starting a day then to offer the furries your side of the bed..what did Gord say?? Sure hope there are answers for you today, good ones.

No call from Greg, sometimes I think he wants to protect my state of mind by not letting me know upsetting things..we will see what today brings.

I've a few errand to run, thinking I'll do the midland ones later in the day then go visit with mom and have supper with her..chat about her 5 day weekend.

Had a good nights sleep, feel much better for it. I stayed up until 9pm, took a gravol!did some hand sewing on the binding of the Christmas piece, always relaxed when doing that and by the time I went off to bed and no sooner climbed in I was sleeping,...thank you Lord.

Watched Blue Bloods this morning, listened to the news, yikes that is depressing, got another coffee, went downstairs and sewed a binding on the Christmas tree skirt I will keep for ME all the while wondering what else I can finish..

Yes I am back home. The party was cancelled as they double booked the pool he was to have his party at, so they will try it again on the 13th! He was so upset.

Just sick to my tummy, Greg just called, the doctor hadn't been to see Noah as of yesterday, they released him and told Greg they would contact them with regards to appointment with a psychiatrist

Who does that when a kid needs help so Noah went to school this morning..Greg said he would drop in tonight to talk with me

Grrrrr. Cannot believe a child is shouting for help and twice no help given

Oh Betty no wonder you were ill. That is not news we wanted to hear. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Noah, Greg, Mel ,Kyle and of course you. Our mental health system here in Ontario sucks and has for a long time.

Oh M you had me in stitches - been in the same predicament a few times. You sent the itchies to me!!! Just kidding, nothing like yours - I have developed a funny rash on my face and it looks much like the skin cancer I had close to that spot a few years ago.You'll love the links Jean posted. Jean is our resident blues expert and the lucky duck has been able to meet a lot of the performers personally.

Pat there doesn't seem to be anything in place after a 24 hr hold in a pysch facility. I think if there has been a crime committed they can be held at the facility up to 48 hours before they are charged. Often when they do want to put a 21 day hold on the patient there isn't an opening anywhere for them- as we have found with Noah.
When I had my Behavioural class I often had teens returned to me after attempting suicide within 24 hours. Like these kids really wanted and needed to be in a classroom.Although I could advocate for them once they were back and push some buttons within the Bd of Ed to get them more help.

Slept long and well. Woke up and took two pain pills and am having coffee while I pack and think of what I need. Tony is doing dishes adn ehlping me pack.

My left hand is swollen around the finger where the scorpion got me but there
s not much pain - especially compared to the kidney stone. I'll be gine for driving.

And driving is good for me. Pain pills work and I don't need to move around.

The landscape is beautiful most of trip. Like being on another planet. There has been some rain so it should be greener than usualy, Beuatiful eaither way. North of Sn Quinten there are lots of small towns so the driving is slow but it's very Mexican so I'm fine with it. I have some friends along the way where I can stop to eat.

My appointments are Friday morning so I have lots of time and they can always be changed if I run into a problem

Bettty, Kaiser did the same thing to me when I went for help for alchoholism. Promised me a month in a treatment center then sent me home and back to work after two days. It made me so mad I stayed sober!!! Praying for Noah to get the hlep he needs; I've lost several relatives to suicide.

If news oh Noah wasn't bad enough my friend Dianne called me this morning..she broke her hip..wast the barn feeding her horse, went to walk away and horse moved, stepped on her foot just as she was walking away, landed on cement padding...big sigh

Sitting here reading about Noah being home and in school. I am totally shocked. That just is not right at all.

Wow, I want spaghetti....and nothing in the house to make it. Think we will have burgers on the grill and maybe I will sit out at the table outside. Is beautiful out.

Not sure when Shane will be here. As of right now "they" will be staying here til they get
apartment...or between here and her parents.

I, too, am shocked. When I had to go south for my sister, I was instructed she was not to be out of my sight at any time!! Yeap even to go to the bathroom ..would give her privacy and stand back a ways from the door but that was what I was instructed. Not fun but.........................
I certainly hope they get this sorted out very soon.

Well now I want spaghetti too. M is too far away for us to get there in time for dinner tonight Debbie. When Warren was alive I always had some frozen in the freezer. We would do a big batch of sauce and meatballs and then divy it up for the freezer. That is something else I haven't made since Warren died.

M my rash has spread and it looks more like wee little bites than anything else. It is blistering in spots as well. Wondering if something took a bite out of me when I was in the bush yesterday with the boys. It is very itchy but nothing like what you have had to and are enduring

Never did watch the DVD delivered. I am just weary today and can't seem to concentrate on anything for long. Did start a new book by Faye Kellerman - Murder 101 and it is good.The pups are sleepy today too. Even Duke doesn't want to stay outside too long. Diesel detests the heat and unless we are going for a walk asks to come back inside. - he won't play with Duke or chase sticks. Diesel is like me and likes the cooler temps.

Have tomatoes and cucs coming out of my ears - all my neighbours when I lived in the old farm house have been dropping off freshly picked veggies almost every day for the last week. I am going to freeze some of the tomatoes - I just can't eat them fast enough. Now I know how people felt when I kept dropping off 'just picked' veggies. lol

I m sorry to say Betty... i m not shocked at this news about Noah. :( our mental health system is a mess and there is so little help out there for people. Unless you have $$$$$$$$ to spend at a private facility. Sad but true. I remember all this with Jessica. Our insurance paid for very little if anything. I honestly think the Dr's are the ones who are crazy not the patients !

that's a lot for her..she was enjoying the girls company, was chatting away..so wish she would decide to stay there, so lonely for her to be home...easier on me though .. I try to go every day so she doesn't think we've just dropped her off in a home.

said she slept most of the time at Aunt Muriel's, her knee was bothering her..I still can't get over her pleasant disposition and the fact she looks 10 years younger..drats, I look older than she does..well almost.

Dianne .. do you think the addition of all the fruit and veggies (espt tomatoes) may be causing your cheek to rash .. I have to watch my tomato intake, and, DH gets GOUT if he eats too many, but, we have planted so many !!
He brought plums (purple) from his buds tree in WI .. BEEYUK .. tart little devils, and, I do think he brought thm home just out of courtesy.

Betty .. I sure do hope Greg gets together with you soon .. I feel he may not want to upset you, but, that said, NOT knowing anything is just as bad, if not worse.
Hard to say what button on these youngsters gets pushed and they change in a heartbeat !

Once Lorna is off to work, and DH is mobile, we'll be off to pick up the raw dog food we order .. it is getting pretty pricey, and, I can forsee a time when we revert to a good brand of Kibble .. will have to hit the Pet Forum to find out brands without WHEAT FLOUR in'em .. Westies are kinda sensitive to it ..

Morning all

Overcast today, calling for rain tomorrow but looks as though it might sneak in today.

Thank you Lord for gravol, once again I had a 'deep sleep' night!

Was almost 10 pm when Rita left..quilt in hand, just has to hand sew binding..in her tote was a tress skirt that needs binding sewn so off she went, happy as can be. She now is housebound waiting for her daughter to call to say she is in labour..

Got a e-mail flyer from Canadian tire last night, theyhave a $159.99 ceiling fan on for $59.99 which also has a remote..mine is ancient to will head out shortly, be at the door when it opens as sometimes they only have a few.

Having supper with mom tonight and other than that not too much scheduled

I say that but now that you all were hankering for spaghetti and "M" being the only one having it I think I'll make us all a batch..one thing I must say I make one h¥€l of a spaghetti sauce.

Good morning all. We're sitting at the hospital waiting for them to take Bill back to prep. Surgery is scheduled for 10:00. Please keep him in your prayers.

Just back from Canadian Tire..omg had to be 50 people waiting for the doors to open..all were on a mission, flyer in hand. I didn't stay, picked up the ceiling fan and home I can.

Car phone rang, guess Greg passed me going to work so wanted to know why I was in town so early. Said he passed the house last night and saw a vehicle in the yard so didn't stop.
He said that the facility (one of the largest in Ontario) would not have someone in to speak with Noah until today..that is more than disgusting.

Said Noah is miserable, complaining he is behind a year etc etc etc

I said I'd give him a few days then pick him up at his work where he does 2 hrs an evening on school nights and full Saturdays and see if he wants to go for eats and we can gab.

Linda, my cousin then SIL who travels with me all the time went back to Branson and did 13 days n the road sightseeing emailed me yesterday saying how wonderful it was, she didn't fall or anything..she is the one who fell down the state building in Austin tx when we were away sent me an updated email this a.m.

" FYI !!!   Wanted to let you know what happened and where we are!   (Niagara Falls ) I called 911 for David at 11:10 pm. He got out of hot tub in the room very hot water    He fell to his knees got up made it to a chair then started acting funny !  Then he started to have some kind of seizure , arms shaking, eyes rolling back in head, head bobbing front back and to sides, could not talk, was white as a ghost . I tried to talk loud to him to see if he would snap out of it I then gently slapped him on cheeks to see if he would come too.  In a matter of seconds I called front desk for an ambulance! His blood pressure extremely low oxygen level also low . Just did ECG and blood work.   He just walked to bathroom says he's not dizzy!  I am going to book another night at Howard Johnson so he can rest and get his strength back up and then he can drive us home!  He says he will be ok! I hope so very scary I must say!  Sorry it's 2:34 am we will be here until at least 6:00 am or more!  Please text me if you want then I will call you back!  He is talking normally now and says he is fine!

Was planning spaghetti today also, This time I'm making with spare ribs. Makes for a yummy sauce and the ribs are fall apart tender. One of the favs. of my kids & grands.

Today won't get any sewing done until she takes her nap, DGS & spouse are both working the same shift. He usually works through the night but is taking on some overtime.

Wishing Bill well with his surgery and a speedy recovery. That long wait before hand is the pits.
