Great info there Thunder. That's why I don't understand why overseas meds prices are much more affordable than here? And they're the same pharmaceutical companies.
For example, one bottle of Lantus insulin, without insurance is around 360 to 400. With Kel's insurance, is at 80 (4 bottles a month for the 2 of us).. then a five pack of Humalog insulin is around 375 and my sister in France, gets ALL for free.

Well, I made some progress yesterday. Clean up my sewing area, did some chain piecing and no.. didn't touch the boy's quilt.. but have some ideas what to do with the dresden plates from a swap!! Lol!!

Morning Jaye dear, along about now you must be ready for a nap. Got the food all ready,now to get dressed, load the car and head downstate, House warming for DGS & spouse is at 2. Will take about 3 1/2 hours to get there. Always look forward to family gatherings. Will be a bit sad to see it end as DGD & family will be heading back to TN. Except for Payton and his appendix, I sure did enjoy having the kids here this summer. Wish the weather had been better.

Afternoon ladies. Slow going today...another bummed knee. We finally had a little rain yesterday but so in need of more. Maybe this afternoon.

Went out for pizza last night with all the family..fantastic time!!! Charlie will be leaving Monday for 5 weeks in the Tortugas (?) and it will be just us ladies. Gonna feel strange with him gone so long but alas work does call. Kim and I will be keeping the girls while their mom works during the day.
Jaye, come on down and you can we will share the pleasure with you. IF you can call it pleasure...Catie-Beth can be a hand full some days. :-)

Hard to believe but it is only 2 weeks and Kim returns to work. Where did the time go?

Finally got the cabinet for the kitchen (picture posted on FB) so now hopefully we will have an oven soon.

ok, yesterday was a banner "sons day"........
On July 2nd, i figured "I know FB has changed, so maybe my son Daniel's blocking of me has changed"...... so I sent a message (yes, I could, so I'm not blocked by him anymore), putting mine & Bob's picture, and my mom's 94th birthday pic on - hoping he's at peace and sending the whole family's love, etc. He answered on the 8th........ I posted back to him on the 11th. Don't want to rush it - we haven't communicated in 15 years......

Yesterday, I found a friend request on FB from Bob's son (Adam) by his 2nd marriage - yes, the one where his ex wanted Child Support even though both "children" are in their 20's and out of the house.
I answered, and his common-law wife (Emily) replied, and we had a great conversation!! Adam had asked his mom for our contact information but she wouldn't give it to him, so he searched for us on his own. Bob's daughter, Cassandra, is just like her mom, so that's a lost cause.
Emily put a lot of pictures up on the conversation, and wow - we're all excited!! We haven't heard from Adam for about 8 years...... as Emily said, Adam was nervous, BUT he took the first step. Said we could contact him on his FB conversation anytime. He's 23 now, graduated college as a big rig diesel mechanic.

As I said - this was a "sons day" yesterday....... I'm so excited, and reeling with the ideas.
I'm going to take it very easy and slow with Daniel - after all, last time he blocked me.......

I keep getting bombarded by salesmen & interviewers every month here at my home. So annoying.
I guess they feel they can get away with it here, as often as they want.
The last one wants an 'hour interview' and get a 'pee sample'. I'd rather put a "steel-toed-boot" up their arse!

Was up at 1:30am trying to get lightning shots, getting bit by ants and mosquitos. Today I am brain-dead and tired.

How are you getting your bills? I would talk to the post office for sure! Maybe watch your mailbox, if you know about what time it is normally delivered. Maybe some kids are stealing it?

and now....... we just found out that Adam & Emily are expecting a baby, in December! This will be their first, and they're 23 & 22. A good age to be having kids.

Been busy with sewing, making a dress for my best friend's granddaughter she is going to be Ariel form the Little Mermaid

Spent Friday and Saturday out in my gardens because it was finally cool enough to go outside. It's been in the high 90's to 106, ugh! Today 100, tomorrow 105. But I got all the weeding done and got some Preen mulch and spread it around. Hopefully no more weeds!!! I wasn't happy with my fish pond because I couldn't see my fish. So I made a "Fish Tower".

Pegi, why can't you go to SS without death certificate? They know that Darwin has passed. They are one of the first to get notified. When my hubby was killed I was able to collect the small benefit of $255 before I got death certs.

LK she is the chubby gal from Mike and Molly, or The Heat with Sandra Bullock, or Identity Theft? She also played in Bridesmaids. She is a hoot!!! I want to see that movie too

Daughter and DGS left today. I cried my heart out.went to church, now I feel better.

Back home, It's been a wild two weeks. This house is so totally quiet, DGS & family stayed downstate for an extra day. First thing we did? Got chicken livers out of the freezer for dinner. We love them and they hate them so they have been just sitting in the freezer...tonight is the night.

LK, the clear flower pot is full of water ^_^ You have to hold it under water until it fills then tip bottom up keeping the opening in the water, then put on your stand. I'm using a black wrought iron plant stand about 12" tall

Cindy, I didn't know that about SS. Will probably make a trip there next week. Really is going to hurt only getting his SS. You know, I never questioned SS about the death benefit for my son. I wonder if it is too late to collect it, 9 years.

Been so hot and how can you do anything. It has finally cooled down a little, should go out to water some of my plants. I've been kind of lost all day, even the dogs aren't much company. I've been sleeping good, except for the times when I think I hear Darwin call me. At least I still feel his presence around me. We had talked about getting rid of some of the junk around here months ago and our son is going through all the important tools, etc and going to store them in the shed. Just will take my time, I know it takes time to go through all the things he has saved over the years.

Mike & Molly is one of my favorite shows on TV. I wish they would extend it to an hour long. You just have to laugh at everything she does.

Linda Kay, .. I used to do that when I use to horseback ride. Would ride to the mini store and tie the horse to a tree then run into the store to grab a drink & snack. I use to live near all backroads and farms a long time ago.

Drove through a lightning storm and downpour yesterday afternoon. Was looking at the lightning bolts striking the ground around my vehicle (so bright). I kept wincing as I was driving and did a couple screams, LoL. I almost stopped to try to take photos, but then said "nahhhhhh, forget it."
Hope you are feeling better. Am going to try the Vics Vapor rub to see if it will keep the skeeters away from me at night.

Good Morning Ladies

Jaye those are both Calico Gold Fish, they had a gold calico that I should of gotten. If he is still there next time I go to WalMart I just may get him ^_^

Weather man said we are in for some hot muggy weather, ugh I was outside at 4 am it's already 70 and yup I could feel it already going to be 108 today Staying inside all day ^_^

Jaye, Liver is a good/bad. We love it but I know the cholesterol factor is bad. We did enjoy with it last night...like naughty children getting into mischief. We were both too tired after the drive home to fix a whole meal, we ate them on buttered, left over hamburg buns...delicious.

Cindy, I love the fish tower, looks like the fish enjoy it too, Imagine how frustrated any local predators are, they can see them and can't get to them. My daughter made me a mini pond in half an oak barrel, I wish I had been smart enough to think of that. Was so disappointing to not see the fish.

I love chicken livers sauted in butter with onions. Yummy. My DGS called this morning, they are 81/2 hours from home.They lost travel time yesterday because of 2 really bad storms in Va.

Christina, That was just a quick snap shot on my phone. I had just pulled in the driveway, and was carrying in the groceries. Hubby told me to look on the antenna, so Ii dropped the bags, grabbed my phone, and walked all the way around the car taking pictures. Once the dogs saw what I was doing he was gone! I have never seen one that color before, I am glad I got the shots!

Kathy, will be saying prayers for them to have a safe trip back home!

LK, I kept forgetting that my cell phone takes pics too! Yesterday there were geese crossing the road.. and I was wishing I have my camera. A while later, I remember that Kel and I both have cell phones that can take pics! DUH.. lost opportunity!

Yesterday, my back was giving me trouble. Last night I went to bed in pain, not wanting to take a painkiller.
Boy did I suffer this morning, all hunched and rushing to grab a pain pill. I just don't want to be addicted to them.
Got a lot to do just like yesterday, and I'm compelled not to repeat the pain.
