Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Boy, you ladies sure talk a lot. Was sick on my vacation, went to the dr. today, and the ER this evening. Got home and had to stop the grandson and daughter from killing each other! Oh, I am not use to the drama.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy that is not a good way to spend your vacation. What did the Dr say?

FU, United States(Zone 9b)

Awwwe HeavenScape, Barb, Joycet, Pegi .... Thank You sooo much! You guys brought tears to my eyes with your words & thoughts.
I thought I was going to have to hide my head under my covers and stay away for a while for talking too much and posting too many dorky photos, LoL :]
Not used to this kind of treatment, but then you all are amazing individuals.

HeavenScape, wish I could travel to Louisiana but I don't travel far anymore (impatient drivers drive me nutso).
The pink Ibis or spoonbills are gorgeous. We see them here on rare occasions in this area.
Please do take care of yourself if the storm heads your way and strengthens. Will be thinking of you!
Hope your Hubby doesn't take much more cwap from some of his family, it can make ya feel depressed & exhausted at times.

Barb, you are just a sweetheart. You really are. Thank You for your words and thoughts, you made me feel so much better :] I hope you are doing ok and am thinking of you. ~A hug for you~

Pegi, Thank You so much. You are so sweet. --- Yes know what you mean about needing to learn how to do things here myself. Am just not around people who like to be sociable or help others for free, heh.
People keep telling me I'm on the outskirts of my area. Well, I say, that isn't an excuse not to be sociable or helpful.
I actually take Klono because of how my stepfamily treated me & how they still do. It is a relaxer, sometimes mild sleep enhancer. Can not afford to pay to talk to someone a couple times a month, so I'm stuck on the Klonopin.
Don't have family to talk to or spend things with, they were and still are busy trying to con & suck money from my step-parents, .... (My fiance died of cancer about 15 years ago). So, it's me, my camera, my plants, my cats & a house breaking down (as usual), lol.

Well, enough of that ....
Photo 1: My shorthaired cat named Farley looking majestic (He is 2 years old). I taught him to say the word 'Helloooo'. Yup, he occasionally says Hello. This cat is so smart & weird, LoL. His vocals are amazing!

Photo 2: Female grackle bird walking on water.
Photo 3: Female grackle bird ready to get food from the water.
Photo 4: Young Osprey Bird yelling (on the right), yelling at his mamma to get him food, lol.

~ Take care of yourselves, You deserve it ~

HeavenScape, ... ... when I start typing about 3 sentences I highlight it & then copy it.
Then I continue typing more & then highlight & copy it again, over & over again, until I'm finished what I wanted to type. ----- If something goes wrong online or on the computer, at least I copied it online before the error occurred :] And then can paste it online again :]

~Hugs~

(By the way, I did not create the image shown below this time) --- It is just an "off-the-wall" statement :]

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

What are you all doing for the 4th!

Looks like it will be just me and Todd this year. We are going out this afternoon to buy fireworks to set off tomorrow!

Christina I agree please keep posting your photo's! They are great!
Sorry to hear you family is acting like that, but I think we all have had at least one like that in our families too!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Dr. Said it was partly Diverticulitis, and partly from the polyp the cut out. If the bleeding continues they will do another colonoscopy. I said "I think not"! I've had enough.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ouch. Hope it heals quickly.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Still on a roller coaster with Payton. He should have been released this morning but had a set back last night and we are back to go. I sure wish I had taken him to hospital ER instead of their Urgent Care center. They would have caught it, operated and we'd be home free by now. He was so up set last night, I spent the night with him. Some of the family is here now and are spelling me so I can get a shower and clean clothes.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear bout the set back Karen! Sending prayers!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I didn't think they kept patients overnight in Urgent Care. Here, they send you to hospital if that is necessary. Sending more prayers.....

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Sorry Barb for the confusion. He was at Urgent Care on Mon. They drew blood and said I would hear in 3 hours, 18 hours later I was called to get him to Hospital ER ASAP. After tests it was determined that his appendix had ruptured. The surgeon is treating him with antibiotics as the infection is contained in a sac. He could have come home this morning but he had a set back last night. Still treating with antibiotics, the feeling is surgery might be avoided if they can wait and later do a needle aspiration of the infection. Has me confused too as I always thought surgery was mandatory. Modern times I guess.

FU, United States(Zone 9b)

Thank You so much Linda Kay :]

I'll be spending the 4th with my TV blasting loud and plugs in my ears.
Should put plugs in my cats ears too, lol. Hope my 13 year old cat makes it through this 4th ok.
This house here is not 'sound-proof' at all.

Jordankittyjo .... I am sorry you are having to put up with that!
I once had a friend over for a barbecue (a long time ago) & he said he had to avoid veggies or fruits with seeds in them. He had to keep the food he ate simple.
My Aunt has an intestinal problem, she had alot of her intestines cut out & half of her thyroid cut out, but she hung in there like a real trooper (that was a long long time ago). She is tough as nails.
I was diagnosed with thyroid tumors years ago, but I ignore it still to this day, (don't have the money to get it taken care of, and I never will).

Karen, hope things get better soon. Am thinking of you. ~Hug~

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Christina, I enjoy your pictures so much. You have a real talent there. Yep, LK is so right, I have a sister-in-law (Darwin's sister) who we haven't spoken to since 1984. A very long story, but now I think of should I let her know her brother is dying. When our son passed she never acknowledged the fact that he was gone. Darwin's has a daughter Pam who does communicate with his sister and I'm sure she will tell her. Such a sad situation when families can't get along. I really feel your pain. Too bad we are so far apart. Please, never stop posting your pictures.

Another hot day and I misplaced the BP machine when cleaning up so we could put the hospital bed in the living room. I'm suppose to watch it and increase meds. if it goes higher. I get so angry at myself for not keeping track of things. So much junk to dispose of, but son is helping with the outside clean up . Just can't seem to get him to week though.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Those are really cute! Is that your cat?

Hang in the Pegi! That BP machine will show up when your not looking for it!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Pegi, I know what you mean about the "junk". Try as we might, it looks like Kim and I have done absolutely nothing on getting things sorted out. However if you had seen our recycle bin and trash can for the past few weeks you would know better. Of course most of what is pile up right now will be relocated into the cupboards and shelving in the sewing/craft room alas: The Dungeon.

Lovely picture Christina. My sister's place in Arcadia has a lots of Grackles...the love to visit the outside cats food dishes.

Kathy, don't you dare not do what the doctors says!!! We might just have to come up there and "hog tie" up and haul your fanny off to the doctor!!! I am sure I could get help if the need arises.

Kim and I are going to Gainesville for the 4th. My very best friend's mom will be celebrating her 97th birthday and there will be a party. Our families always celebrated the 4th together as it was Ross' birthday as well as my friend's mom's birthday. Of course Kim and I will have a birthday party on our way out of town. Wind spinners and flowers ready to take to the cemetery

Everyone have a wonderful 4th, don't over eat (ha!), don't get to sunburned and best of all....Be Safe!!!

FU, United States(Zone 9b)

Pegi, ... Thank You so much, I appreciate that. You're an Angel.
I'm so sorry you are going through this stressful time. I went through it with my Fiance who past. I had no one to talk to or get help from. My stepmother yelled at me to get over it after two months of his passing.
My family members are very self-absorbed & money/material obsessed. Conning & using others is their profession. And if you don't have those things they want they ignore you like you don't exist.
I've had health problems for years, so I don't have money or great things, so I've been ignored and trashed-on, for many years. ----- An Uncle & Aunt of mine used to call up my dieing Grandmother & threaten to kill her or a family member if she didn't change her 'Will' and give them whatever money or things she had. She cried to me telling me that she got those phone calls, It made feel so ill.
My stepbrothers are just as bad.
Wish I had the money to get to talk to a psychologist or a life-coach, but that won't happen. Am thinking of ya Pegi, you are an amazing person. ~Many hugs to you~

Linda Kay, ... Yes that is my cat, he's a weird one, lol. He also brings toys over and drops them in front of me, then I throw the toys across the room and he brings them back to me over & over again :] He freaks me out with how smart he is.

Marion, ... Grackles like sunflower seeds. The birdfeeder would spin around in circles really fast but they would hang onto it & still eat the seeds, when they flew off of the birdfeeder they looked like they were flying drunk LoL.

HeavenScape, ... please let us know how you are doing when you are able to! Am really worried about ya with that hurricane passing near NC.

Photo 1 .... Baby Tree Frog hanging onto a branch. Early morning in Florida.
Photo 2 .... Found this written message on a Park Bench (written by an anonymous person) at my favorite park in Florida. It was the only thing that made me smile that day. What a wonderful thing to stumble upon. I have a keen eye, so I miss nothing when I'm outdoors :]
If the message fades, I'm going to fill it back in, so it can bring smiles to others in the future.

Prayers for Jaye and Kel.
Happy Fourth everyone!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dropping in with a happy 4th of July Salute

God Bless the USA

Hope all are safe!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Cute frog and beautiful bench!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy 4th everyone!! Thank you Betty!!

Thanks for the prayers, the hurricane decided to take a further up north detour and we get some light drizzles, not even any winds. Praise God.

Christine, more trees and less assholes? LOLOL!! That's the truth!! I never can boast of a Farley that fetches nor vocalize a hello. All my cats are good at begging and scratching for food. A couple I can boast of being supersensitive to my moods. When I start crying, one will try to paw away my tears.
Such a glorious sight, your pictures are. Your part of the world isn't available here, unless you want to see weeds!!
Kel's brother has cut off his mother after their father died.. all over money of course.

I'm so sorry Marion over your damaged cabinets. Hope the next one will be perfect for installation. Me too have been trying to get rid of clutter, but it seems I have an emotional attachment towards them!! Do enjoy your little party, Marion.

Prayers continue for Darwin, Payton and sis Kathy.
I hate to read about sick babies.. hope Payton heals soon as he needs to be out there and playing!! I thought too that a ruptured appendix calls for emergency surgery, Karen. But what do I know about the latest treatments. Get well soon Payton.

Sis Kathy, don't do anything the doctor wouldn't suggest!! That's important! I'm so sorry you're going through this 'annoyance' and stays in pain. Sending gentle hugs.

Pegi, if that SIL is concern, she'd have checked in on Darwin. Let sleeping dragons lie, you just worry over Darwin and don't pay no mind to a/holes.

Sistah LK, keep the pups indoors if you can if you're burning firecrackers. They might run away at the loud sound! MIL's pooch climbed out of the fenced in yard when neighbours started playing last year. Up to now, she still hasn't returned.

I'm available Saturday Sue. Cookie!! Lol!! Wish I'm close by and I can get into some mischief with you both!!
Have fun!!

Thank you Barb for the prayers, God heard and knows the troubles I have with my back, and said, may some other people cope wtih the hurricane! Haven't seen the news yet, as I was in and out of sleep yesterday.

Nothing special for today. Won't be able to cook, so it's going to be Chinese take out or if not, something microwaveable.
I was hoping to do some ribs or roast, but I think the painkillers will put me out of commission!

Oh by the way Christina, thank you for the hint on copy and paste. Sometimes I write first on notepad then, paste over to this,, but that day.. I decided to brave it!!

Waving to lurkiers.. you all have a happy fourth too!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, so sorry to hear about y our back hurting so bad! Hope it gets better soon! Do you have any muscle relaxer like flexeril? That may help?
Glad to hear the storm missed you guys!

Doggies stay in the back bedroom in the middle of our king size bed. Neither one likes the fireworks popping off! Christina, we don't have tree frogs here, they are so cute! Love that quote on the park bench!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Have a good day!

Happy 4th of July!!

Just a short note to let you know that Darwin passed away around 9:30 this morning. He wasn't responding to me and labored breathing so I called hospice. Nurse came out just about the time he stopped breathing. He had told me he was fine just minutes before that. Kind of in a numb state right now. No more suffering.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

God bless you Pegi. May God be with you and grant you peace. You have been a good wife to him and I know you are grateful that he will suffer no more. Gather your strength dear heart and know that we are with you... That breeze that passes by, that bit of sun on your shoulder, that is us loving you and hoping it helps.........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Agreeing with everything Barb has eloquently posted.
((((((((((Pegi)))))))))))) God is good, He knows it's time for Darwin to return home before he suffered more.
We love you very much, and we shall pray that God's peace be with you all the time.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pegi, I am so sorry to hear that! Sending lots of prayers of comfort for you and many ((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pegi Mega hugs to you and thanks that his suffering is over.

I'm picking up my boy in the morning, What he doesn't know is his mom will be with me. Very sure they will both be happy to be together again.

Karen how is Payton today ? sending warm healing thoughts to him and your family
I m on my out to Toms place. I told Tim about Tom and that we are dating and sleeping together. The sound of his voice really sounded hurt and confused. I actually felt bad . No one likes to hear of there ex getting a new love . i guess ?
Cookie yes want to hang out saturday ?
WEnt canoeing today with tom and the kids. Savannah kept splashing him..... he didn't mind and was very understanding. God bless this man !
got to run
love and hugs
sue

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thank you girls, your prayers & thoughts are so welcomed. Hard to accept that he isn't here, but I'm so glad he doesn't have any more pain. I can't wait until the healthcare place comes and takes all this equipment away. Not a good reminder. I have so many questions to ask the Neptune people so I have to make a list or I will forget. He will be cremated, as we both had planned. He will be reunited with his son, mother, father & my mom. My mom and him got along just fine. Have no idea how to go about getting all paper work taken care of, but there is a social worker who will call and come out to help me. I think getting out among my plants, etc will be good therapy for me.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'll be listening for your call or text, Sue.

FU, United States(Zone 9b)

Pegi, I am so sorry! I have tears in my eyes.
You are a wonderful person who did her best, and I know you worked your butt off to make things comfortable. Hope you go do lots of Garden Therapy for yourself. ~Hugs for you awesome Lady~

Barb, you are such a sweetheart, you make me smile. Thank You so much for being the kind & thoughtful person you are :]

HeavenScape, that is sooooo sweet that your cat comes to you when you cry. Farley does that to me too. Cats are truly amazing creatures!!
I cry whenever I wake up from a sleep (almost every day), and then he pops-up on the couch I'm sleeping on. Am so glad you have your cats around with you.
I stayed in Elizabeth City, NC for 3 weeks. There is beauty there to photograph, just different types. Weeds grow here fast too :]
So glad you made it through ok through the hurricane. Hope your back feels better one day soon.
I blow-out my lower back muscles every so often, when that happens I can't stand up straight and can barely walk, lol.

Linda K, ... Thank You, I love that quote on the bench too. Need to see if it has faded yet. If so I'll try to fix it :]

~Hugs to everyone~
My allergy pill is kicking in, getting tired.

((((((((((Pegi)))))))))))) I first saw your post on FB early this morning. So sorry for your loss. One day at a time, is all you can do. Yes play with your flowers they are good therapy

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

(((Pegi)))

Waaaaaa, I want tree frogs!

Your photos are amazing. Do you sell them?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Pegi, like Joyce, I wish I were closer to help you and be there so you could lean on my shoulders. I am here with a heavy heart knowing what you are dealing with. Yesterday was a bitter sweet day for me also...Ross would have been 80. Hugs, prayers and always thoughts coming your way.

Had a wonderful visit with all my friends in Gainesville. The couple we saw were my support when I lost Ross. It was the wife's mother's 97th birthday and I can't believe how she is still getting around at this age. Lynne (BF) hadn't told her Kim and I were coming and you can only imagine her look when I walked in the door. She has been like my second mom for the past 20 years or more.

Joyce, I will send you all the tree frogs you want!! Better yet, you can come collect them. :-)

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok my way, Marion....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Door is open.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I'm doing OK, so far. The flood of tears haven't come yet, just watery eyes so far. I hope they come and get the bed, etc. first thing on Monday, the nurse left a message to come and pick it up. The nurse that was assigned to me called this morning, not knowing he had passed. She asked if she could stop by one day next week after work to see me. My sister and sister-in-law are planning to spend the day with me on Tuesday said we could do whatever I wanted. We had planned several years ago for cremation so that is our wishes. So much paper work to take care of, and I really don't know where to begin. I'll have help with that. Need prayers to have the strength to do all this.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ceaseless prayers and pleas, our Lord heard for you. So sad that not one of us can be phsically there for you. I am convince that the strength of our prayers will send a hoard of angels to gather and fortify you. When you feel a light reprieve coming, take it, it's your sistahs telling you to exhale.. count to 100 if you must.. We don't want you to succumb to that mind fog.

God will see you through this Pegi. We are all right next to you, behind you in spirit. If you need to call at any hour, my phone number is still the same. I'll have the cordless in bed. 9106537080

Karen, I'm sure Payton's happy to see his mum! May the little tyke recovers fast.

Christina, I'm so sorry that sadness engulf you when you wakes up. Hope this 'hotel' brings you some joy as your photos do for us. Love the park and underwater goddess compositions

Cookie, that's not fair, you get to see Sue too often!! Oh to have one of my sistahs living close by.

Sis Kathy, church tomorrow? Don't go if you're still sick.

Marion, how fortunate that you can rekindle some old memories with good friends! I have to return to Singapore for that.

LK, thank you for the 'talk', I feel so much better.

Yes Barb, nothing like a long convo with Him.. loving Him is loving my sistahs here.

(((((((HUGS))))))
