HeavenScape's previous comment ..."Lol!!! Funny post Marion!! If I were to move closer to you, there's no need to take care of me as all my depression that cause these ills will be wiped away!
We'd be into fabric and quilting mischiefs and I can see you telling Christina where to find eye candies for her next photo subjects!"
My response: ... "LOL .... So true So true!! LoL! :]"
To the comments about putting-up with mosquitos, etc, to get good photos, ....it's my job :]
I need to get photos of many subjects in order to sell them on many products. Plus, I like to just photograph things for others to get to see, no matter what the circumstance may be.
My three biggest dangers while going out to photograph are: mosquitos, lightning & wacko men.
Linda K, ... Your Barbados or Poinciana Tree is gorgeous. That will grow very big, right?
HeavenScape.... Please take care of yourself & your BP.
Mine was pretty high today when I went to the Docs Office, he drilled me about smoking. I told him it is more about my family and being bored than it is about smoking, lol.
Showed my Doctor some photos today, He like a Hibiscus photo & the wild green parrot photo.
Everytime he asked where I took the photos, I could not remember the name of the places I took them at. So I would describe two visual features of the areas I was at & he would guess the exact places I was at, LoL!
I can't talk to Men very well, mind goes blank and I forget things.
I had lunch at my favorite place this afternoon, it was so hot and humid out, I sweated alot.
When I got home I sweated some more and my nose was stopped-up, and I 'wound-up' barfing up my lunch.
Oh well, ... such as life in humid Florida, LoL! That didn't bother me too much though, as I am topping the scale at 147 pounds while I'm at 5 foot 2 inches tall. (Boredom & inactivity is my biggest problem living here in this area).
So glad I have not irritated everyone with my photos. If I do, just tell me so :]
Hugs to you all, take care of yourselves the best ya can.
Photo 1 ... My Guinea pig family. Two babies (Snooty & Poofy). And the big one named Silver.
Photo 2 ... My two baby Guinea Pigs in an Easter Basket (names are Poofy & Snooty).
Room 289 at the Sweet Interruptions Hotel.
Your babies are adorable Christina....
Please tell us how and where you sell your photos? Love those guinea pigs.
The pride of Barbados can get to about 8 foot tall.
Thank You so much Barb :] You are so sweet.
Linda Kay, ... I mostly sell my photos at www.zazzle.com/TrailsThroughNature
Oh, I thought your Pride of Barbados was a Poinciana Tree that grows very very wide.
Shows how much I know, LoL :]
~Hugs to all~
I have never heard of the tree version. I Googled it, and they are pretty, but not what I have! Just a bush.
I will check out that site!
Thanks so much Barb. Let me know the postage.
I love guinea pigs/ My boys had some when they were young, I even named one Arnold, reminded me of Arnold in Green Acres. We had all kinds of pets in those days.
I got every thing done I think I need to. Can't go to Social Security until I get a death certificate. I'm realizing he is gone and must carry on. He left so much junk in the yard I'll be kept busy with son getting rid of a lot of it. Had a stationery bike here that my sister took home. She is going to have knee replacement in August and will need to exercise. No need to go out and find one when I had an old one here and no one used it. May have to have a yard sale later on. Time for me to get rid of some of my stuff too.
Pegi, don't make too many decisions now, give it a while so you can be sure you truly want to let go of things. OK with the bike to your sis, but nothing major.
Hugs for everyone here.
Pegi, heed what Karen advise, take your time in making decisions on what to let go.
Nursing a headache here. Lord willing, this too shall pass. Love to all.
Good morning sistahs.
Head's getting a lil better, at least the sinuses are 'running', unclogging one side!
So sorry I wasn't in a talkative mode.. wish there's a like button here...
Pegi, how are you today sistah. Hope the arrangements went well with no drama from his family. May you get some physical and financial support during these times. Hugs sistah.
Christina, I'm five foot 2, lost an inch lately. Hence it's important that we take mega doses of vitamin D.
My nieces in Singapore have pet guineas. Living in high rise apartments, that's the most hassle free pets they can have.
So sorry I can't help you LK. Using up whatever lil boys fabrics for 3 boys' quilts. But mine aren't strictly balls, I include whatever I think boys will like, insects and frogs!
Thank you Karen and Barb for helping her out. My sistahs are always eager to help out.
My diabetic nerve pain in my feet is getting worse. Lyrica doesn't help and the doctor had told me once that surgery will be the only alternative soon.
Does Norm has diabetic neuropathy Barb?
Scrambled eggs sandwich for lunch, with mayo spread. May today be an easy day for all.
Sorry to hear your feet are hurting so bad. Todd has gout, caused by too much uric acid in his system. He keeps it under control with meds most of the time!
Will keep you in our prayers Jaye!
I agree, I don't know where we would be with out all the love and support of everyone here!
(((Jaye)))) and all my (((sistahs)))!
Heavenscape, ... Yeah, time for me to try to make some changes.
Time to get outside more, photograph more and do yardwork more often.
Since being on this thread and this site, I have become less depressed, so I think I can make those changes happen more easily now, slowly. :]
I have nerve pains too, on the top of my feet, sometimes under my toes, sometimes on top of my hands. Never thought about it, just ignored it and dealt with it. Can't touch the top of my feet with any pressure or it will feel like lightning struck them.
Anyway, I sure do hope you feel better real soon and that your nose starts to stay unclogged :]
Yes, Guinea Pigs are sweet and cute as heck. But they eat alot and cwap alot, LoL.
Yumm, you think of the yummiest breakfasts and lunches.
Was outside in my front yard with my camera trying to capture some far-away night-lightning at around 5:30am.
It was muggy, but the lightning just wasn't frequent enough or impressive enough. But had fun trying.
The air smelled great, the critter-sounds were cute, the moon and stars and clouds were beautiful, but the Skunk walking across the street made me nervous, LoL.
So glad he did not 'stink-up' the area like he usually does, he did not know I was standing outside, I was too quiet.
Pegi, take things easy and slow.
{{Hugs Joycet, and all the other sweethearts on here}}.

Thank you very much LK and Cookie. Appreciate all the prayers and hugs I can get.
Christina, call me Jaye.
Have you tried that supposedly wonder drug "Lyrica" for your pain? It seems you have the same symptoms as my feet. Sometimes it feel like lightning bolts shoot right through the bottom and 'burnt' the skin!
Praise God that He gives you a great eye to be a skilled photographer. I have a good friend who tried selling her photos and bless her heart, she's not as good as you. She can write a how to book on SLRs, all the technical skills, but can't compose. At least she could paint well, and mercifully, she didn't have to depend on that for a living.
I don't know what will become of me if I had NOT known anyone here, or join DG. This life will certainly suck, and I'll suffer in silence. (Hmm....... poor sistahs)
Depression is just an illness like diabetes!! Glad this place gives you some relief.
Your pictures provide some relief too!!!
Bad weather still. Rains, thunder and the cats must be cussing outside!! Been hours now, since 5. Crackles over the phone, and Directtv is off! So, watching taped shows.. "Quilting Arts" and "Sewing with Nancy". Each has about 20 episodes!! 30 hours of inspirations without commercials!
We should be paid for putting up with idiotic commercials!
hi sistah's
Pegi warm hugs to you
Jaye warm hugs to you also
Peyton warm hugs too you too.
sorry couldn't read everything, i will catch up soon.
Had fun weekend with Cookie.
Tom came over for a couple nights and we had a nice time. Celebrated our 1 yr anniversary of dating.
had a nice week with no kids and i m sad to see it end. I know i m an awful mom !!!!
it was a beautiful morning . Coffee with Tom on the back porch. Then cuddles on the couch watching Orange is the New Black.
Jaye, .... LoL, yes, we should be paid for all of the many unhappy commercials!
I never mention the nerve pains to my doctor, so never tried any drugs for it. I'll most likely continue to ignore it. I was raised to ignore what happens to me and stay quiet about it. I do Thank You for the information though, it may come in handy in the future :]
Yes, I do not sell much of my photography either. Many years ago was much better, but not theses days.
Well, Jaye, I am so glad you joined DG and made this thread. You are awesome, and I hope you being on here helps you alot. And I hope it helps me alot too. I think it will :]
Hugs to you Jaye, look after yourself and treat yourself really well.
Photo: .... Night Lightning, at around 5:40 in the morning.
Too much junk (like houses & telephone wires in the way), but that is how things are these days.

That's a beautiful picture, Christina!! Now I can never take such a good shot! I showed Kel your photos, and he admires them too!
Hang in there, your name will catch on, and one day, National Geographic will hire you.
Don't you ignore your ailments, we want you with us, for a very long time!! HUGS girl!
Jaye, I love the yellow Daylily.
Need more yellow, white & purple flowers here. Too many orange & red flowers in this area where I am at. I'm trying to change that in my yard.
Thank You so much Jaye and Kel, I appreciate that very very much!! :]
I doubt 'National Geographic' would contact me, I just do not own a camera that can take 'flawless perfect photos' that they look for, for right now :]
You are to sweet though, and I want you and the others around for a very long time too as well.
Don't leave me girls !!!
You all are too awesome and deserve to be healthy and feeling good.
I better go, I talk (or write) too much sometimes :]
Night night sweet Ladies. Have an easy weekend coming up :]

Christina, I really like your lightning photo, I think the "junk" gives it depth and interest. I repeat, you have a good eye.
I agree Jaye, just switch the names on those day lilies. I think the diabetes is beginning to give me a bit of grief with my feet too. Every now and then it's like a needle is stabbed into the bottom of my foot. I jump and holler as it catches me every time.
The wonderful recovery of children, you simply wouldn't have believed Payton had a problem in the world if you had seen him since he's been home. They left today for downstate to visit with family there, but I'll see them again on Sat. at the house warming. Much as I hate it they do have to go home on Sun.
We had 17 of us here for nearly a week, now it seems so quiet. DGS said today aren't you glad it's quiet? In a way it's nice but I have so much quiet time here that I really enjoy company. Heading downstate tomorrow for the house warming, Made baked beans, baklava and rumake today, put together a pasta salad tomorrow and we will hit the road.
Don't forget to bake a cake for Will, Karen! He'd be looking for grandma's special, no matter how big he gets!!
So relieved to know that Payton's antibiotics are working for him. How wonderful that your calendar doesn't leave you too much time on your own! Lol!! How I wish there are more social or family stuffs for me. I used to be busy, busy, busy back in Louisiana.
Guess God wants me to focus on myself :(
Christina, do you have to stand on a ladder for that picture?
Sleep well sistahs. Tomorrow, I'm gonna try to sew..
Christina, that photo is really nice!
Love those lilies Jaye! Very pretty!
Karen, Thank You so much!! I appreciate that.
Jaye, ... No, I don't need a ladder for the photos. ----- I have a tall 'Tri-Pod' and I tilt it upwards to the sky :]
Enjoy your sewing and have a happy and relaxed day :]
Thank You, Linda Kay.
Hugs to all of you :]
Oh Jaye the last thing I would do is bake Will a cake. His mom, my very talented DD is a wonderful cake decorator. The thing I would make Will is braccioli ( I don't think I ever spell it right) , round steak pounded thin, coated with Italian bread crumbs and seasonings, and Romano cheese. Then fried in a bit of oil. Since he was little, Will would dance around me and always manage to snitch a piece or two while I was cooking.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready! How about some toasted English muffins with cream cheese spread.
It is lightly raining this morning, and all of 72 degrees. Hope it keeps raining like that all day!
Thanks for the coffee LK! I need a double shot to keep me going today. Did I say I want to sew? Got to clear and clean my sewing table and my mojo ain't there!!
New thing for me, Karen. Braccioli? I'd like to try that. Anything pound thin and breaded is great for Kel. He loves those Milanesas.. chicken or steak pounded, breaded and fried. No cheese though. I'm sure he won't say no to Romano!
I'll drink my morning Cappuccino while you enjoy your coffee. It's one of my few induldences. I never did learn to like coffee.
Use 1/3 grated cheese to bread crumbs, I grate my own but either works. One of my former uncles is Italian and it's been a family favorite for many years. Some markets have the meat already sliced thin.
Sis Jaye, Send the rain my way. We can't buy a drop if'n we nwanted to. Everything is burning up
Thanks Karen. One of those pre pounded swiss steaks might work. I like those hard Romano cheese, though expensive, it's worth the taste!
Sis Kathy, I'll ask Lord to remember you!
I had my first cappuccino the other day from our doughnut shop! It was pretty good!
I went back to the Dr. yesterday, told her this cough and congestion just won't let up. She changed my inhaler to flovent. WOW was I shocked when I picked it up at the pharmacy. I had to pay $85.00 and that was after insurance! I asked how much is it, and she told me that tiny inhaler cost $356.00. I sure hoe it works! She did an ECG and told me it shows I have an irregular heart beat, and I have to go back the end of the month for a 2nd one. If it still shows irregular heart beat, I have to go see a specialist. Getting old sucks!!! :)
Sistah LK, please get your bp checked frequently, with one of those new machines that detect irregular heartbeats too.
I just hope the new inhaler works for you and you don't have to use it often!
Pharmaceuticals make so much money out of us. The CEOs are greedy bastards!!
It's the drug companies only way to get their research money back. They have to get it before the patent runs out. My Chemo drug is over $7000. per month. That's obscene!
Linda I order my cappuccino mix online. I used to get this brand at Sam's club and then they switched to one that is yucky.
The one I get is Victorian Inn , French Vanilla at unitedfoodgroupinc.com a can lasts me over a month and I order a case of 6.
I agree Jaye, just plain greedy!
Karen, I sure hope you don;t have to pay that out of your pocket? WOW! Is this something you take at home, or do you have to go to hospital for treatments?
It's totally covered Linda, even the co-pay is paid by a grant...good thing as it's almost $400... It's a daily pill. Sent from a special mail pharmacy. Even the hospital here won't dispense it. When I'm there I have to bring mine from home. I see my oncologist every 6 mos. and she handles the refills.
What I have is called CML Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Basically if you gotta have one it's a good one to have. So far they aren't calling any cures but my blood hasn't had any signs in a couple years now. 15 or so years ago there was no treatment so I am very lucky. I'm anemic, my blood is very thin and because of my old thin skin I bruise, cut & bleed easily. I go around looking a victim of abuse, especially my arms so I keep them covered, but other than that, I feel fine.
good morning
oh my oh my i m a horrible mother. I have to pick up my kids today from camp...... not looking forward to it . LOL ... i mean my house is clean.... no noise. no argueing . peace and quiet....
thank you for the yummy breakfast
not much going on today. Tom is getting a hair cut at the salon i go to. THe ladies there enjoy him LOL .
beautiful morning out. I may work out in the gardens.
Jessica's garden is getting out of hand . uhg.
Well, my daughter and grandson leave Sunday. I am not looking forward to it, I will miss them. It will be too quiet without them.
Last time for rabies shot for Sami at city hall. Not going to take a chance of standing in line in the heat so son said he would take her down in the truck. I'll stand in line and when it gets close to her turn he can put her on the leash for me. She isn't going to be happy, needs grooming so bad and fights me if I try to trim her. Mandy doesn't need a shot for 2 more years.
Going to shampoo my carpet and for some reason the dirty water doesn't drain into the bottom canister. Finally when I get up enough energy to shampoo this has to happen. Wish I knew what happened to the manual. You buy something new now and you have to go on line to get the manual.
Sue, you are not a horrible mother, in fact I think you are a great one. We all feel good when house is clean and it is nice and quiet, no kids around to argue.
LK , Flovent and any other inhaler can cause irregular heartbeat....be sure to mention what you are using when you go for next test!!
and you may want to look into Canadian Meds. If you have to continue using inhalers. I pay less than the co-pay of one, with my insurance coverage, for two. My coverage changed drastically this year, and my inhaler prices just about tripled!!! I use two different ones, one everyday. twice a day. the other for "rescue", which I use a few times a week, on a good week. If I had to pay the insurance co-pay rates, I would have to give up eating, and quilting!!
or just give up breathing!!! It is crazy!! Thank goodness my DH looked into it, and found the Canadian place. I do like to breathe ^_^
Hi - still around
You can't get rid of me that easily lol
