Hydration center? Thank you for that tip on the 8 hour without foods and liquids.
I was like a camel, I can go without liquids for hours on end! I think it stemmed from my mother warning us not to drink too much if not we'd gain weight. Perhaps too, she's tired of having to replenish boiled water in the fridge, with so many kids!
Okay sistahs.. doctor's visit went not okay yesterday. With the doctor that is.
Kel said the doctor had to keep reassuring MIL that all's looking good, that he practically had to usher her out of his office, himself!!
So... here comes the lies. She's not doing good and will take longer than normal to heal. She'd be forever on painkillers and.... she doesn't like to impose on Kel.
Sigh..
Once home, she doesn't use the walker.
RM: 288 of the "Sweet Interruptions Hotel"
....shall I play the fiddle in the background Jaye. Oh the tale of woe.......
Had the girls visit yesterday for about 6 hours. Odd how little ones can teach us older ones! Abbi watched You Tube until she figured out the basics of knitting and was showing Kim how to last night; CB2 helped me cook dinner. Totally fascinated by my melon baller.....good thing I didn't have more watermelons. :-)
Playing "gofer" for Charlie today.
Oh my!!! Abbi catches on real quick doesn't she? Just hope no future beaus would make her mad.. she might just pick up that DIY book on bombs!! Lolol!!
I'd have fun watching CB being 'creative'. Did she seeded the melon before balling?
Marion, blessed are you to have such entertaining girls!
Oh, don't bother with the violin, Marion. You'd be spending money on string replacements!
LOL okay Jaye..how about I use use my "air violin"?
It was a seedless melon but yes, when she encountered a seed, she did remove it. My only problem was she can eat cantaloupe as fast as she did it. Between the 2 of us there was much for the fruit bowl.
Let the drums roll, trumpets sound: I have officially been given the move in sign from Charles for the dungeon converted to sewing/craft/guest suite! I can't believe after all these years I am actually going to be able to have a designated area for my sewing/craft treasures!!! Think I will celebrate by opening a bottle of nice cold ginger ale!!
Marion that's great, you are going to enjoy it so much. One of the things I'm looking forward to if we get to move , is having a decent sewing area again. My room is so wee tiny now.
I can so relate to the wee tiny room Karen. Mine has actually been non existent for the past ...well every since I moved in 2005. I am almost afraid to move thing it as it looks so nice and clean!
Yay!!! Oh just think!! No more fabric boxes under the bed! You can finally 'categorize' them and show them off!
Thank you Charles for helping MaidM's dream come true.
Nice and clean? What's that? That sounds like OCD to me!! Lol!
WIne tasting for a birthday party? What a novel idea.
Have fun Sue..
I had such nice big sewing room with lots of shelves & storage, next 2 houses also but last one was smaller and this one well it's less than half of the nice big one. Plus Lacey just has to come in with me all the time. I spend so much time making sure she's not underfoot so I don't fall over her.
Had a funny thing this morning. I was sitting on the kitchen floor cleaning the lower cabinets. When I was done, I couldn't get my self back up no matter how I tried. DGS Bob came over and helped me up, Immediately Amelia plopped herself down and said "Daddy help me, I can't get up". Stinker doesn't miss a trick. Can't get over her vocabulary for still less than two.
I was watching a Law & Order show with Darwin, wish I hadn't start watching got so involved. All of a sudden something else came on. Seems he fell asleep and had his finger on recall button. When he woke up he sure missed the remote. I hate to leave the remote with him as he can mess up the picture, but it is something he just HAS to have in his hand. I know it is cheaper for hospice to keep patient in home even with extra help. My aunt was in a very nice hospice place, almost like her own bedroom at home. I just can't imagine what it cost family to keep her there.
I've tried sitting on floor cleaning out lower cabinets and had a hard time trying to get back up. A little extra grunting and groaning and I made it. Getting back to try and rearrange everything. Seems I get started then DH needs something. It is nice when he does take a nap. He does make little jokes and I have to laugh.
Nice and clean only because he has finished and the paint is clean and fresh looking. Give me a couple of days. There are some small things to be done but they can wait. He leaves this week for a vacation with his family and when he returns he will be leaving for 5 weeks job related.
Karen, to funny! I was on the floor today cleaning out my bottom cupboards in the kitchen. No one around to help me up so between twisting and turning I finally struggled upright. Boy old age ain't fun especially when the knees are weak. Bummer.
I know better than to get down on the floor. I was just too tired to make it this time. Good thing DGS is big and strong. We have a showing tomorrow early so have to get it ready today.
Good that you guys have some one to help sometimes. ------ - I trim, clip, crop, weed my lawn, have to check and fix my 'water-system', air-conditioner, clean my white fence, do house repairs and everything around & in this house (and with my vehicle) with no help, lol.. --- Hope you are all doing ok and feeling ok :]
Ah, someone from my home part of the state......south Florida.
Morning everyone. Glad to see someone new here. Welcome love forest. Glad you found us. Tell us a bit about yourself if you don't mind. Your name, Do you garden or quilt? And we love pictures.
'Mornin' everyone. Coffee pot full of DD coffee waiting for Miz Jaye to wake up. Also have some really great cranberry and almond thins to go with the coffee.......found them at Costco and thought we would give them a try. Rough not having an oven but that will end soon...I hope.
Thanks for the coffee Marion!
Quiet day here today. I guess everyone is chilling like me!!!! Hope you all enjoy!
Well same ole Same ole....did all to get ready for showing...never showed or called. So depressing.
Welcome love forests, glad to have you here.

we are off to the vet today. Lucy has an apt. Then the vet who helped us with our goat is going to let Savannah do an interview with him, she will do a report and a presentation for her 4 H club.
still seems a bit empty in our barn with no little boy goat around :(
have a good day everyone
Cool out this morning, wish it would stay that way. Had a very restful night. Still a little tired, but got to get up moving around. Thanks for bagels, cream cheese and homemade jam, Sue. That should give me a good start for the day.
Welcome LoveForest. It's so nice to see a new name.
Sue, thank you for a great breakfast and that's wonderful that Savannah will embark on journalism! Way to go!! Much cleaner hobby than a 4H one! Lol!! What will Austin be doing during school break?
Tom's mother will love anything you make for her. I can testify to your canning abilities..
Pegi, may this week be easy on you. Perhaps you could use a volunteer to sit in one day, and hit for the library.
Sis Kathy, good to see you up and about! May you heal fast, sister.
Barb, how was Sean's and Brandon's graduation party? Bet there were huge smiles all around from grandpa and grandma! Did you find the perfect dress? I'm always afraid to go dress shopping. Me wiht heavy boobs and no butt.. I have issues with standard sizing!
Don't try getting lower than your knees please Karen.
So sorry things don't work up with your new agent.
Karen, Amelia's too cute!! I miss being around little children of her age, listening to them talk! They are mini adults, I'll say. Right Marion?
By the way Marion, once I fall down, I have to crawl to something that I can hold on to and pull myself up!!
And who's the one that went ziplining??
I can't even imagine doing that!! If you're old, I'm ancient!
LK, how's your dad's oxygen level? Will you be able to see him anytime soon? I know those calls between you and your sister must be chocked full with questions.
Waving Cookie!! How's Sunshine?
I will be hitting a town across the border. Got to check on renewing our glasses. Our opthamologist/optemetrist has decided to increase his rates... exorbitantly... last year and it's time to price check.
Nothing is affordable anymore.
Have an easy week, sistahs.
I have not heard anything from my Sis this morning, but they are supposed to let him go back to the nursing home, if nothing else poss up. They had to change his breathing meds, and may have to gice him oxygen all the time. His white blood cell count was pretty high, probably due to the infections in his toes. They just don't want to heal up, so he may have to lose the foot.
Sue go to this page and scroll through the patterns. Lots of free patterns, and easy to follow directions.

Come back here if you need help!
Right you are Jaye about young children and what can come out of their mouths!
Pegi, we are also have a cooler day with a slow drizzling rain..not complaining as we were really in need of some. Plants are looking much better.
I have a visit to the eye doc on Thursday. It should have been done way back as it is the check up to see how the new lens implant is doing. had a small bubble that was being watched but with Sues problems.....has been postponed several times. Oh well, will know on Thursday.
LOL, Jaye my ziplining was 7 years ago. Not sure I could do it now...would still try though. I saw on FB this neat Alpine sled ride roller coast in Gatlinburg, TN that really looks cool. I think I might have to see if the Junior Sprouls would like to make a trip. Catie-Beth would love it.
My name is Christina. I love flower gardening and trees and bonsai. I do nature photography.
Thank You for the Welcome :]
Ever been in a store where the item you are looking for is on the very bottom shelf? Well, I kneel down and am done looking at the product, I say out loud "Uh oh, I don't think I can get back up, LoL!". Then I slowly get back up and stand straight with a groan. (Too much yard work I guess).
HeavenScape, you are right, "nothing" is affordable anymore.
AbbisGranma, Yes am from sw Florida. Things are heating-up !! Getting hard to do yard work in this sun these days. Came back in soaked and groaning from it this afternoon. How are you liking the lightning storms?
leaving tomorrow for new York. i'm all packed and ready
Have a safe trip Kathy!
thanks linda
Welcome Christina. I was born and raised in Punta Gorda so I am very familiar with the heat, humidity and bugs! LOL Moved when I married and have stayed in North Florida ever since. Do go back to Arcadia to visit with my sister. Experienced many storms like that growing up....not fun.
Kathy, please, please be good about your eating and take care of yourself.
Safe travels Kathy.....
Beautiful storm photos Christina. Envious of anyone with a good eye for photos, truly a talent.
I squatted down to look at a doll house at a yard sale once and knew just that quick I was in trouble. These old knees of mine just locked up and said...oh no you don't. I finally had to ask for help, very embarrassing.
I lived in the Jacksonville area in the 70s, really liked it, but hubby was called back to his job in MI and I got dragged back. Trying to move to TN.
AbbisGranma.... Yes, the humidity, burning sun, numerous insects & lightning, is what it is about here. The Wasps, mosquitoes & Ants drive me nuttos. But, at least I get chances of getting good lightning photos :]
Siliolegma, ... Thank You :]
Awwwe, don't be embarrassed about needing help to stand back-up, it just means you 'busted-your-butt' very hard in the past :]
I just grab onto something in that store, whether it creates a small disaster or not, lol.
Hope you get to move to Tennessee soon :]
Hugs every one.
You have a soft heart like we all do Sue! Bless you for adopting a new furry friend! We need pictures!
Didn't bust my butt Christina, I've had crappy knees since I was a preteen. Getting old hasn't helped the situation any.
I loved living in FL, especially since we were not too far from the beach. Hubby's job was 3 days on 4 days off, 4 days on 3 days off. So we could really enjoy fishing and exploring. Back then the fire ants were very rarely seen, maybe in a pasture. My sister lived there as did my grandfather. Oh the flowers I could grow, I really loved that part. My grand dad brought me a bundle of sticks I stuck into the ground, in no time at all I Poinsettias as tall as the roof.
