having a colonoscopy on Thursday morning. maybe they can figure out what is going on.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope you can get answers soon!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Sissy!! You have to get this figured out! There's too much fun waiting for you to be sick!! Exta prayers coming your way.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I am still going to ny, if'n I have to go by ambulance

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL! Well hopefully, that won't have to happen!! Please take care and listen to your Dr. and your body!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my body don't talk much. haven't met the dr. yet

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

If it is diverticulitis, avoid caffeine, and spicy foods, and make sure you go potty every day. Getting stopped up is one of the worse things that can happen.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Kel and his mum paid their respects to Murdock. I had to push Kel to do it, and laid out long pants and long sleeved shirt for him.. yep... even though it's in the 90s yesterday. Told him that his dad expected respect. Truth was I was so upset that I'd do anything to make him miserable! Kel complied.

It will be a yearly ritual like Marion for Ross. But I don't think I'll do so for MIL.

LK, you asked how is she doing? Well, I am supposed to lie to you that she's on death's door and the surgery was the WORST anyone could have and that she'd take months to recover. She was doing exceptionally well the first two days until she realised no one bothers to visit her and the attention drawing drama started!
I made the mistake of answering the phone and telling her SIL on the other end that she's doing terrific and everything positive! Her SIL called me because she couldn't get MIL on her cell.
Until later, I was told by Kel that's a no no. She didn't answer all her frickin' cell calls as she want people to think she's too sick to answer!!! BUT, relatives have my home phone number!!
Again, she sabotaged herself by eating the wrong things and quit exercising on her own.
Only put on a show when I'm around, and Kel's too 'fed up' to tell her anything!
Thursday, Kel will have to sacrifice rest so she could go to the beauty salon before she returns to the doctor Friday.
Tell me, if this woman washes her own hair? Answer is no.

Ok.. that's out of my system. It was very bad yesterday that I wished death on her, but I did apologize to the Lord. :D Bad me!!

Pegi, it's the morphine doing its ugly job. Driving the caretakers to going mental!! I am glad you found some humor! Perhaps you could video his moments and play that back to him when he's more lucid. That camera takes videos by the way.

Sis Kathy, take my advice. Use a whole gallon of holy water on yourself! Really worry about you when you're too quiet and hate to know that you're still not free from pain.
Stay away from spicy food for a while. Get some Mrs. Dash.
May the specialist be able to help you. If you're going to NY, who's taking care of the garden and kids?

Cookie, I can readily adopt your precious grandkids!! Not many Bryns and Emilys nowadays.
I'll even give them a hefty allowance, not just brisket!! Lol!!

Honeymoon period, eh Sue? Time for cuddles and not letting go!!

Marion, what have you decided about the cabinet? Charles redoing it, or the handman from Craigs' list?

I am extremely exhausted today. Not even evening yet, and I'm sleepy already.
Did a lot this morning. Weedeat some too.
That video Synda posted on my FB, the mama cat trying hopelessly to rescue her errant kitties on the slide... that's me this morning and almost every morning.
Meds, groom.. meds groom.. special food.. groom.. do that about 10 times and wonder why I veg out on FB!!

Have a great start to the week sistahs!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

So much to do today, never know where I should start. Gave Darwin an Ativan last night so he would sleep peacefully and not call me at all early morning hours. I guess I should just forget about him getting up to finish some of the house projects he started. LOL I'm already tired and want to go back to bed. Guess I'll start with a cup of coffee and go on from there. I could use a few energy pills but don't know how to find them.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

((((Pegi)))) Get some of those 5hr. energy shots that you could find for as little as a dollar at the Dollar General or gas stations. Kel swore by that.
Mountain Dew introduced a new line of energy drinks at a dollar and a half a can "Kickstarter" and that didn't work for me.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Guess I will give those energy drinks a try. You hear some bad reports on them, but it seems everything gets bad reports. The nurse that comes out is so nice and she loves to clean house. I really think that is a disease in itself. That is only the second person who has said they love house work and I just don't understand how that can be.

Just read where a woman in Connecticut was found dead in her basement as a result of hoarding. So much junk that the floor fell on her. Don't have a basement, but better clear my clutter out before it becomes out of control.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear there is so much drama with MIL Jaye! Praying it gets better soon. I hope the Dr. gives her the what for on Friday, for not doing her exercises!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

the vet is taking Sammy. i'm not eating anything I shouldn't. i'm on a diet, remember

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kathy, what ever will we do with you? Seriously, I do hope they get to the bottom (no pun intended) of all your problems. So much to do, so many places to go, so much trouble to get into!!!

Jaye, I ordered one from Home Depot that will be in between July 1 and 7th. They will do the installation for me. Charles will leaving on vacation with his family the 26th of this month and when he returns he will be leaving for the Dry Tortuguas for 5 weeks. Nope, will not be able to come home during that time. Diving is starting and so away he will go. That is one reason I really didn't ask him to do the cabinet.....he needs to be with his family before he leaves with his job.

Kim and I did find a nice tall cabinet at HD and best part.......it was on sale!! We ordered the cabinet and a Broan stove hood..installed for $1500.00 and change. I think we got a very reasonable deal for what is being done.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh yay! I love new stuff!

Sorry your MIL is a witch! She'll get hers in the end... You know what I mean!!

Mulched a lot of the gardens with shredded leaves this year. (Ran out 😢) then got 2 yards of brown mulch. Got that spread. Then got 3yards of red mulch for the pathways. Tony and I are spreading those today. Am I ready for garden club here tomorrow? Nope! Still have 3 giant weedy areas that just aren't going to get finished!

I picked up the brisket at SAMs club yesterday. They only had a 9.10 pound one out, so I rang the bell to ask for a smaller one. Nope! That was the only one left in the store. Must have been a lot of brisket served for Fathers Day! That booger cost me $59 and change. Ouch!! It's a great piece of meat though. I did the first baking today. 6 hours and 45 minutes. Of course, it would be 92 degrees today!

Well, guess I better get back to work. That mulch isn't going to spread itself!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW! That is an expensive brisket! Hoe it is a good one!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

on my way to th er again

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cookie, I am not sure if there really is such a thing as ever having a garden completely done. So relax and enjoy your group...if they are true gardeners they will understand it is always a work in progress. I hope to get outside and work some this week.

Charlie played hookey from work today and I spent the day climbing up and down ladders helping him put up the crown molding in the crafting room. That and playing "gofer". So now we are down to painting the crown molding (nope he won't allow me to paint still) and a few items like bolting the cabinets to the wall and making my counter top. So close yet so far................

Oh no Kathy. Keep us updated please.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Keep us posted Kathy.

relax Cookie. They won't notice your weeds or judge it .THey only care about the wonderful hosta you have and all the other pretty stuff's you got
Kathy hope you can get some answers soon. NY her she comes ready or not :)
Jaye how awful that MIL is that kind of person. I don't blame you for wanting death on her. Your not bad. just drained from her crazyness.
not much here going on
can't wait to see Tom !! good gosh i m like a little school girl all giddy. Just hope i can find the airport ?
took kids to the movies and we saw How to Train Your Dragon 2. Loved it !
then went to Joann's nothing impressed me.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye no worse than what I said about MIL. I knew I would outlive her, I just didn't think it would take so long. How sad it is for someone to leave this life unmourned.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Kathy how are you feeling today? Are you in the hospital or at home?

How do you like this picnic quilt?
Picnic Time!

That's one giant quilt when I look at it, LK! Wonder what's the occasion?

Good morning sistahs!!

Sis Kathy sending positive vibes your way!

There you are Marion, thinking of Charles making sure he would have sufficient time with his family, and look... he made time for you!!! What a son! And Kim is such a perfect daughter too.
I love Broan over the stove hoods, they're very quiet!

Karen, Sue, Cookie, LK, thanks for understanding my frustrations with MIL. She's acting out again this morning, can't wait for Kel to return home from work. Well his battle now.

Cookie, why must you tease us?? Briskets cost a fortune now! Used to be so cheap since it's one of those throwaway meat like offals! 30 years ago it sold for 90 cents a pound!! Now it's closed to 4 bucks especially during holidays.

Pegi, hope today goes easy for you.

Hot and muggy, no rains and the grounds have already dried up! gonna weed eat some, if Kel replaces the string if not.. I think I'll start another baby quilt! Gonna MAKE myself go to the cutting table!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LOL no Jaye, they are NOT perfect! You just hear of the good things they do....shall I enlighten you on the things that drive me insane?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Yesterday was a crazy day for me as Darwin was doing weird things again. Ended up with a headache. Brought back the migraine headaches I suffered years ago. I went to bed with a cold wet washcloth on my forehead. Hope today is a lot better, think the bather is coming, some of them are so good and others just do a piss poor job.

Son came home with more pictures of his garden. They are enjoying squash and tomatoes. He said he counted 24 spaghetti squash and they better keep me supplied with some. His girlfriend never had a garden and I think she is going to become a gardener yet. Can hardly find walking space in her small back yard. His secret is miracle grow, of course that came from my supplies.

Temps have been in the high 70's and it is going to be in the 90's by the end of week.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I wish I knew more about that quilt. I saw it on Facebook. Oh, look what I found...

Pegi, you need a way to avoid stress. Stress can cause those headaches!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

That was very cool, LK. Thanks for sharing, pegs, hope you're feeling better today.

Sissy? Where are you and how are you?

20 here today for garden club tour and carry-in lunch. The brisket was yummy as always, and Jaye! I'd love to find it for 4 dollars a pound!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Where is everyone?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am here!
Waiting to hear from Kathy. Don't know if she is in the hospital or home?
Jaye what are you doing today?
Karen, Sue...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I woke up at 2 p.m YES I'm being lazy!!! Kel woke me up with a parcel in his hands, and I got the neatest RWB bag from a special sistah!!! Maybe if I do that again tomorrow, I might get another surprise!!
Lol!! Guess my bones needed the extended sleep or I may be allergic to the full sun yesterday.

Pegi, I get headaches if I don't protect my head in the sun.

Cookie, I ain't kidding!!! Guess I better grab a slab before it hits 5 a pound. DON'T tease me like that.. of course yours will be yummy! But I'll do mine in a turkey bag slapped with some hot chow chow!

Marion, you're the perfect mama to have almost perfect kids! They want to be around you, that's proof of a good mama. Kel's forced to bite his tongue and kowtow to MIL while older brother James had stayed away since Murdock's buried!

Kathy. hope everything went well!!

Going back to bed again LK. When I'm feeling this tired, I hope I'm not coming down with something. I like to think the nights of no sleep are catching up one me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Get some rest Jaye, Hope your not getting sick too!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Could be the effects of having to deal with MIL for so many days.. weeks... oh God, don't let it be months!
I do take vitamin supplements LK, but there's no vitamins for 'tolerance'.
Glad that Kel doesn't want me to cook tonight. It's gonna be his favorite Chillie Cheese from Wendy's.
Thank God for small favors!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery for your MIL!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks LK. It's her mind that I ask God to fix!!
Her body's okay, but the bad persuasion of her mind killed all good medicines!! Lol!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

No, no Jaye!!! I am NOT the perfect mom, just lucky that my kids don't mind being around me.

Worked outside most of the day and boy am I tired. Off to a nice warm shower and then to have what ever Kim has decided to prepare for dinner. I think I like this, she cooks during the summer when she isn't working and I do it when school is in session. Nice break.

had a nice quick visit with Cookie last night. Love our swing times. :)
Jaye hope you not getting sick again. Get out the jook .
Marion isn't that the way lol i go out side to let the dog pee and end up out there for 1/2 hr
Picked Tom up at the airport and i didn't get lost ! HA.
Was very happy to see him ,he gave me a prezzie, I got new earrings .
wonderful pottery art studio he went to.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sue I can just hear the laughter in your messages. Yes, I can't even walk out to get the morning paper without walking around my yard. It is just so good to be able to be home, although I would do it all over again for my mom and sister. The worst part of my morning tours is seeing how badly things have been neglected but they still are thriving. Ross used to call it "benign neglect".

I so wish I had some one closer to go visit and have a swing time. Enjoy some for me next time you go to Cookies.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ahem! Which was supposed to be TODAY!! I dug up a butterfly bush for her and she wouldn't take it last night. Said she'd get it today on her way home!! It's still here! Okay, now she has another excuse to come south!!

crap i forgot.... blame the menapause . sowwy Cookie :(... ( bow head in shame )
was behind and had to hurry and pick up kids.
Tom was keeping me busy ... hehehhe

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok. Forgiven!!
