She's about to... Almost summer!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I put mine in a large garbage bag, spray liberally with an indoor insect spray and close the bag for a couple days. Has always worked for me.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Karen, those are so pretty, I am partial to the green one!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I think I am too. It was a lot of work, The pattern is Giant Dahlia. Sondra, Mojoquilter had a free tutorial on it. I had bought a pattern but her directions were easier. I re-cut some of those pieces several times. So glad I have a ruffler too, made that part of it go faster. I hadn't put a ruffle on one before, but think I might again as I like the looks of it.

The red one, the small Dresden plates were from the swap. Hubby figured the pattern for the large one. The quilting? I was flying by the seat of my pants.

If you enter, it doesn't allow you to write as much as it says it will, supposed to be 300 characters was more like 30. I wanted to give Sondra credit for the pattern.

You all are so talented. Such a great atribute. Hope I spelt that right. Sometimes I get a thought or two about being crafty. Kinda works out.
We had some wonderful rain and a couple thunderstorms on Saturday. We really needed it also. Nice gentle pitter patter. I am sure the farmers and I know my plants areso happy and smiling this morning. They are tired of the city water around here.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Thank you, I need something to keep me out of mischief.
Susie, I keep saying I want some chickens, Love your silkies. Hubby has his rabbits again and I would like just two or three hens.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Oh deejay I decorated my house even when I was single. People would ask why? Why? because I am there and I love Christmas...lol

Yeap she needs in the Christmas swap but dang I am going to have to bribe someone..rofl.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

LOL Thanks ladies but it'll be quite a while until I make any full size quilts. After I finish for my 15 grands, I have the 15, so far, greats. Also making new ones for my kids too as the last ones I made are really old. My youngest son lost his when his basement flooded with 40" up his sewer so he needs one this year.

We have this house for sale, so while I can have hens here, not knowing where we will land...except want to move to TN.

We are never home for Christmas so gave away all my decoration to kids & grands. Will have to come up with something this year as we have two year old great Amelia here now.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

What a great Mom and Grand and Great... my great nephew called my Mom Grandma Great....I just loved to hear him say that.

Yeap 2 year old at Christmas, you have to get all ready for Santa.

I bought some Christmas presents yesterday at a craft show. Got DDIL 2 scarves and sister that is a nurse a couple of charms to make her a keyring. Every year since she has become a nurse I have gotten her something with nurse and coke collecting. She had her whole kitchen in coke stuff before she got sick and moved in with the other sister. Other sister does betty boop and I found her a great leather tote for work for almost nothing a couple of weeks ago at a 'junk' store. I was elated. I have a huge Christmas list so I shop all year long. I got a Christmas app for my iphone and I love it. I can put everyone in the list under family or friends. If I buy something I can list it and even take a pic of it. It also has a todo list and if you wrapped it. It has been a life saver.

Well I have cooled off talking about Christmas so back outside to mow...rofl.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Why all the talk about Christmas?? Everyone to hot. Lol. Do not even want to think about it. I used to be so good about starting shopping shopping early but no more. :( now with the grandchild thats all I want to buy for....

confederate rose blooms in october

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

opps forgot about that one it is in bloom here now, since I am zone 5.

A friend stopped by and since it is the end of our season sort of, alot of flowers like blacck eyed susans, peonies, and etcc are looking bad. Well she said well I see you are going to redo this bed have you decided how.... ;( It is the first bed you see driving up. It is beautiful in the spring with poppies, peonies, daffs, iris, then onto daisies and etc, but when I looked at it after she said that I really thought omg it looks like someone set it on fire!

So I need some stuff blooming or green or something. No I have not went in and cut the dried dead stuff out which would help alot...lol

Still bringing in tropicals.....my back will be broken...lol

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

I have some late hostas inbloom now and a really pretty small day lily. Not sure what the name is. But I have never had my hostas bloom twice in a season. Maybe its because they are more in the sun? Not sure. Other than that my yard is looking pretty bare also.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

lol...gl I have the same thing. I looked over at the hosta when I was mowing and it was full of blooms...very odd. I have about 4 or 5 daylilies reblooming. That is really nice.

Anyone ever grown Fall-blooming Anemones? I found this at the Chicago Botanically garden.

roflmao....I want to thank you all for helping me...
I just keyed up the longest whiny post ever...and after reading it, I had to laugh at my whiny list. There is always next spring and I really don't have any problems...

So thank you...lol

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Hey happ, I have done exactley the same thing man, many times! Haha. Seems we are never happy at the time and just really want to change something. Rofl. Love it. I am not the only one who does this!
Had my sweet little ganddaughter her for the first today. What a sweetheart she is. Such a great baby. We took her to see my mom in the hospital and she was so happy to see her for sure. My dad got to see her for the first time, to bad it had to be in the hospital. But he was beaming.
