time to get super BBL

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We almost bought a store in Carlin, Spent much time with the owner and finally realized he didn't really want to sell. That was over 25 years ago and he still has the store.

I would love to come down but just can't get away this week-end. We got home last night after being in TN for over 3 weeks. Tons to do including getting this place re-listed.

Problem isn't just the shade it's the sand, I talked to one neighbor who has a lovely yard. More sun than we have but also spent 4 years improving the soil and laying in a watering system.

Won't be long until that new little princess will make her appearance. Are you going to be there for her birth? I've made most of the grands and greats too.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

I sure do hope so. She lives an hour away and the hospital is an hour and a half away. I am going to try and be on time. We are planning a baby shower now. We are going to do a rubber duckie theme, so excited. I ordered her a really cute duckie coursage that says mom to be. From etsy. So cute. Now have to find a super cute cake....

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Too bad not closer, my daughter make awesome special order cakes.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Etsy is a wonderful place to shop and so many ideas. I have bought a lot of presents there.

My nieces we had a ice cream cake and it was so good, been a million years since I had one of those. They decorated it to match the invitation.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh darn Karen that would be wonderful. But I ordered a cute duckie cake from walmart. They have that really good fluffy frosting. I want it to be tomorrow... haha.

I wanted to share with you a couple of presents I got from a couple of friends. First is the miniature in this broken pot, her and her boyfriend made it for me. With all this talk of miniatures I just needed to share it. The other is a hoya plant and it is in bloom I am so happy I have wanted one for a long time. Had one when I lived in Texas a million years ago. Here is my plant rack and on the very top is the coolest pot, I included a close up of the pot, you can see a little frog. I need to find something to put in it now. The hoya would cover the pot up so I don't want to use that.

Anyway just wanted to share the miniature with you all, he used a saw that has that like a metal string for a blade, geehz can't think of the name of it...the bottom he cut like big teeth to help hold the plants and dirt in.

Wonderful gifts Joyce. Miniature garden is so cute, looks like it just happened. Love the Hoya, I have one that was my dads from when he had his cancer surgery, love when it blooms, the flowers look like they are molded of wax. A most unusual pot, you'll have to find just the right resident for it so it doesn't hide the pot.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Very niceJoyce. Love the flower pot minis. So nice. Had a good day we went to island fest. Downtown Kalamazoo. Lots of regge music and some pretty good food too. Nice weather also.

Walked around the garden and took a few pics of the daylilies that are finally starting to open up. I really like the spider daylilies, have a few, and really like the daylilies with teeth I think they call them. Oh heck I just like them. I even manage to have a few with names, around here it is hard cause during the winter the dogs are running across the flowers chasing whatever out of the yard.

Hope I haven't already posted some of these earlier, but they are still in bloom and doing good.
