Ernie - missed that about your foot ulcer - how is it?

Susan the ulcers there are two about the size of a dime. They are quite painful but I am spared a lot of pain because of the neuropathy in my foot. Which means I can't feel the bottom of my feet very well. The Dr says they will take a long time to heal because I have poor blood flow to my feet. The right is way worse than the left.

sorry to hear about the ulcers on your feet. No wonder you fall - neuropathy isn't pleasant. I have a friend who has it and it causes her grief. She has it along with diabetes, which I gather is often part & parcel with it?

Susan your right but it can't stop me altogether I won't give the horrible diabetes take every thing away from me.

I had a good nights sleep for a change. I slept about 6 hours after crawling under 3 blankets as soon as I started getting warm I crashed. It's o dark 45 and I am looking forward to a good day I am pain free for a change and I want to take advantage of it. I am watching a 50 year old western .So refreshing after years of being treated to cops and killers. Yes the westerns were a lie to but still I find the old shows better, Mash is one of my favorites.

4 am and I've been up for 3 hours now. No interest in going to sleep. I have to go to work at 11 am so I need to get some sleep sometime.
BTW, if you see one of those rubber barrels they use to line along the hwy/street to keep you out of a construction, DON'T HIT ONE!!! I barely clipped one and lost my drivers side mirror and my drivers window, plus put of scratch down the side of my car. I tried to miss it but if I had gone any farther to the right to miss it I would of round up in the ditch. The darn barrel was in the lane I was in. Found out that sometimes large trucks can pull them out into the lane as they go by. My car was in the repair shop for a week and a half.

omg Mary - that's terrible!! Was this a City barrel - and if so, won't they have to pay the repair bill?

There is noone I can get to pay for the damage to my car except my insurance company. AND they were not happy with me.

Isn't that just like ins co they are happy to take your premiums but act like your stealing when you have a claim.

yeah, Ernie - but here in Alberta they're trying a new type of insurance "first time accident forgiveness" where you don't have any increase in premium for your first accident.
it all depends on the insurance company, of course.

Hi Patti - well, I've heard it said that the most intelligent people have a lot on their minds, and therefore don't sleep much....

My hubby & I have a lot on our minds lately............ bad tenants, bad landlords, and more bad tenants. The last set of tenants are being taken to court by us, on Nov 27th, and we're hoping to get a 24 hour notice for them so we can move back into our home the next day..... after noon on Nov 28th. We've given our notice here, where we're renting now.

Middle of the night ? like moon glow and cat opera , ? perhaps the Vampire effect from old movies ?

1. previous set of bad tenants, we moved away from - they were the landlords to deal with
2. Current set of Landlords - we're dealing with, sort of successfully - they want a written notice of when we're leaving, and that depends on the #3
3. current set of tenants - we have a Hearing date of Nov 27th to deal with them. We hope to move back to OUR home on Nov 28th..... We gave them an eviction notice for Nov 15, but they refuse to leave. They are damaging our reputation in the neighbourhood, and going against the Residential Tenancy Act by substantial breach of tenancy. oh gawd, we want them OUT!!
We lived in the home for 9 years, quietly, they've been there since June of this year.

Gosh, I actually slept until 4 instead of waking up at 2. I feel blessed!

Maybe, now that the animals are resettled, and I have had a piece of toast, I can go back to sleep. LOL

Off to take the Thundering Herd for another morning walk. The ticks have been so bad this fall and the temp hasn't been cold enough to kill them off. During deer hunting the hunters were covered in ticks by the end of the day. I swear even if I keep the pups to the lane the ticks leap off of the brush and onto the pups.

I don't hate very many things in life but I hate ticks. My brother was diagnosed with Lyme disease a year ago. He had apparently had it for over seven years so, although the disease it's self is gone, he will live with the resulting damage for the rest of his life.

I concur with your idea of starting a new thread. My sleeping patterns are so erratic I'm often up between 1 and 4 AM.
