2014 N Central TX RU May 18th (Arlington) TRADE THREAD #2
Sandy, I'll take some LA Iris if you get it dug.
If you want blue bottles, let Smockette know. She has a source of lots of blue bottles. I have three that she gave me that Im not going to use. I will bring them. Just d mail her.
Doesnt she just get gallon ones
Sandy, those irises are pretty! I'd love a few.
Stephanie you got it
I will pot up some extra lyre leaf sage for you, covenant garden.
Stephanie and steady cam, thanks for the plants!
Dfwdennis and steadycam3 - I transplanted some smaller asclepias asperula for you today.. hope they are happy in their pots!
Sheila - is it asclepias curassivaca (Mexican milkweed) you're looking for? I have some seeds if you want them :)
Ilovejesus99 - I got you down for both opuntia cuttings, but just FYI, the Spiny opuntia is the one that grows wild everywhere throughout tx. I think it's opuntia engelmannii? The one that flowers yellow and is followed by red prickly pear fruits. Just didn't want you thinking it was some exotic cultivar. It's sooo NOT! LOL but I will bring you some if you want it.
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/65218/
Can also get you an echinocactus texensis
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/66798/
opuntia leptocaulis
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/59963/#b
and echinocereus reichenbachii
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55154/#b
if you want them. I can try for whole plants but it may just be cuttings. They are all cold hardy here and I'm north of you, so they would do fine where you live. Just lmk so I can get them potted for you.
O.K. Everyone, I finally posted my list here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=9816046
Please check it especially the requests I most likely have forgotten some, and let me know.
Sorry to be so late with this, but my schedule is very tight, and my time very short.
Josephine.
Josephine, I would love one of your aquiligia canadense, can I get you anything aside from nursery pots? And I thought mock orange didn't grow well here? Am I wrong? My great grandmother had a hedge of it along the walkway to her front door and yes, heavenly is the only word to describe it! I have passed up seeds in the past because I was told it would die here..
Josephine, can I have a rough leafed sunflower?
StillPlaysWDirt, do you have an extra echinocereus reichenbachii?
Baja, do you have all you need of pink and yellow lantana? Butterlies nectar on mine like it's a favorite. Also do you have enough Salvia coccinea? I have some potted up if you want it.
Dfwdennis, I will pot one for you :)
Anyone have Black and Blue volunteers this year? As usual, I got no volunteers and so far, Ive not seen the original plant.
Yes Becky, the red Columbine is yours and the Mock orange grows great here I have had mine for over 30 years. You can have it if you like.

Yes Dennis you can have the Rough-leaf Sunflower.
Oh yay, thank you Josephine! You made my day :)))
Guys I had a neighborhood event that I was in charge of on Sunday, and the planning and re-cooping afterward got me so far behind. I am too sleepy tonight but will try to catch up in the am. You all are going at warp speed!
Jo - I would like to reserve the Cassia corymbosa, loved one I had a few years back but lost it.
Get the rest of requests tomorrow. Nite all.
(note) too much facebook...I keep hitting enter and it won't post!
Josephine - May I have a Passiflora cerulea?
SPWD - Do you have another asclepias asperula? If so, may I have one?
ILJ99 - Do you have another spider lily?
Steadycam - To answer your question, my original Black & Blue has come back. It's very bushy but hasn't flowered yet. Need to look closer to see if has any volunteers.

Sandy you get the white Passiflora.
Pallets, anyone? As a good friend of mine used to say, 'Quick like a bunny!' There are some new pallets waiting for the City to pick up any day now. Maybe even before the dinner bell rings. I have no idea what to use them for but seems like there ought be something. Also think but don't know if they would fit in my car trunk.
You can use them for all kinds of things from compost sorters to planters to furniture.
FYI - I have started making an inventory of my pots. I'm trying to list as many as possible although some are promised. Not organized enough (yet) to cross-reference the 'haves' with the 'giving'. So if you're looking for a specific size or style, check the inventory and let me know. Keep in mind that this is a work in progress.
The Food and Prizes thread has been posted Here

I just updated my list and added more goodies. Please check it out http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=9819762 and ask for whatever you want. Trades not necessary.
Ilovejesus99 - do you still have one of those lovely blue LA irises left?
covenant, I would like the Veronica speedwell. I planted seeds back in early March and still no sign of their coming up so this would give me one plant, at least. Maybe my seeds were old.
when I saw your list, it reminded me I would like plant saucers too, any kind.

Steadycam, the veronica is yours.
Carol, is the chocolate mint spoken for? I'd love to have it if it isn't.
My pregnant onion has some babies, if anyone is interested.
