It is a terrible thing that's happened and I am sorry for it. But I doubt anyone could have foreseen that something like this would happen. I suppose there's always a chance.

I know this is terrible and I know pretrades are lost but I am willing to put some seeds I have and mail them to the next person in line. We can recoup from this with smiles. Please let me know :)
I am feeling better. Had a few days off from work. Go back on Wednesday.
This robin being " lost " is no where half as bad as some co-ops I had been a part of. Trust me.
Anyhow I hope this gets resolved or has a happy ending.

Thanks everybody - Steph is really coming up with great ideas about tracking Garry.
It's really a shame someone would stand us up like that. I think probably putting together another bird to finish out the Robin would be the thing to do.
We'll wait till Steph comes back to see if she has any news then go ahead and make some plans.

Hi all. I have a health and wellness check happening on Garry with the assistance of the FD & PD. Hope to hear from them soon.
Soon as we hear back from Stephanie we'll either wait for the bird to land at its next destination OR we'll bombard the next destination with seed packs to jump start the robin.
If you have seed to contribute start gathering now in anticipation. I think generally that will be easiest on everybody. Hope you agree!
Summer's here, sorta dry, grass not growing, plants wilting. Threat of thunderstorm omnipresent but no-show.

Rain now started about 4.30 Thunderstorm , Lightning for about an hour .
65 going for 57 ,,that is a colder than July that it is here ..
I will go through some seeds .. .. only remember I am the weed grower , so that is not to awful exciting ,,lol
it's a weed thing .
And Besides That ; The Worms are really getting to me !!!
Lots of rain here, cool temps (october weather). Haven't heard anything from my contacts. I think we should move forward with a new robin. :(

The information I received, without giving too much personal information, is that he possibly had to take a job in another state - so it is entirely possible he (and possibly his entire family) left his home before the box arrived and hasn't been back. Although I would hope someone at his house would handle it (send it on with the label I sent) but if they are not aware of what he is "involved in" here, they may not have any clue. As I stated previously, I requested a health and wellness visit from the County Sheriff as well as the local PD via the FD and have not heard anything back. The PD was going with information regarding the group here, information of the prepaid label I sent and the request just to put the box in the mail as the property in the box does not belong to him. The PD has my phone number although I have not heard from them. There has also been no tracking activity on the USPS label I sent. It is possible that a different label was/is being used. Unfortunately, there is no way to know.
Although there has been activity on his FB page, he has not replied to messages I have sent - I presume they are landing in his "other" folder and he hasn't seen them.
Amanda and I have both sent letters via USPS to him, with no reply - but also no return mail.
I would just like to say, please be courteous with your words and any comments or feedback you may leave regarding this situation as we do not know the facts of the situation. It is very unfortunate this has occurred and hopefully nothing serious has happened.
I would be more than willing to get another box going, but I move in a week and a half so unfortunately, I will not be able to be the collection point unless we wait until after July 28th to start sending seeds to make a new box. I would be willing to accept seeds for contributions between the dates of July 28th and August 8th with the anticipation of mailing a new Robin out to Kevin on the 9th of August. If anyone would like to see it done a different way, please chime in.
Please give feedback as to when you would like to get another box started -I presume as soon as possible - and how you think it would best work to get seeds to the next participant.
Amanda and I will coordinate on the side and get the birdie flying again.

Why don't we all send our seeds to the next recipient on the list? The next recipient isn't in the middle of moving and can easily just pack all the seeds for the following recipient.

Steph has been my sleuth and she has gone to great lengths to find out all this information. As I've said before, we should not use this forum (or perhaps any other) to post negative information, rather it might be a place on his own page for feedback to the extent that you were dissatisfied with the robin's crash landing.
In any event, l am in favor of shipping seed directly to the next participant. If you take me out of the equation to start the new box we save some time.
Let's see if they're prepared for this onslaught. In the meantime, let's get our seed together and I will post by Monday where to ship seed.

I am going out of town for 2 weeks Fri and don't want to have to ask David to mail these as I have to many things laying around waiting to have addresses and not sure he would mail the right one.
