Those are beautiful,Linda. How was your trip to SanAntonio?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Trip was good, but upset cause I could not find any Easter fabric, everyone was sold out. Guess next year I will have to start looking earlier!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sorry you couldn't find the fabric you wanted.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Is it Debra's birthdday..... how fun.....happy happy!
That is nice that petunias came back! I love anything I dont have to replant! LOL
Hope you had a good time in San Antonio.

I actually returned a plant I bought last Saturday, they told me it would bloom all summer. When I got home and looked it did not. They were very nice and agreed I could bring it back....course it was probably a 100 mi round trip. So met a friend and made a day of it. We can't buy too much because we are turning cold again, possible a bit of snow.... yes I said snow...rofl.

dh and I went to a swap meet, it was a beautiful day except the wind once again was horrible. I sold some junk and DH sold a bunch of car junk. But came home with stuff. I bought the biggest cat jungle jim for my cat....it is huge for 10.00 LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Swap meets are always fun! Glad you both sold stuff!

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

ahhhh, sorry Susie you are having that white stuff also. Yeah we have many many pets the kitty was dumped a long time ago. Her name is Hairy cause she is long haired and black. We were in hopes of selling our 1962 vw beetle. No rust new interior, had alot of people take our number but no buyers yet.

Yeah 80 to snow but today is rainy and warm. We need the rain, now that I don't work I don't mind the rain, actually gives me an excuse to do other stuff. Now snow that is another subject. Ok I need help from my friends.....and sorry you all are stuck being my friends... ;)

I am going to make alot of Christmas presents cause I give alot of Christmas presents and I dont have much of an income anymore. so....I have a friend who collects coke 'stuff' I mean her kitchen, family room, and stuff outside with coke stuff. I have been collecting some glass to make those flowers and Friday afternoon I found two great pieces of clear glass and today we went to lunch with friends and went into an antique shop and found this coke plate. Now I have put them together. Which do you like better it will be put on a copper pole to put outside right now they are on my table.

Just tell me if you like 1 - 2 - 3 - or keep looking it doesn't quite work. DO NOT WORRY about hurting my feelings cause you won't. Unless you tell me we arent freinds ;( , but you are stuck with me anyways LOL

#3. I like all of them but #1 and #3 show the most of the Coke plate.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Thanks Cville, I didn't even think of that....good one.
I should take some pics of her yard. It is pretty cool not so much the flowers but her coke stuff, sort of unusual.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I like 3 also.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Thank you Linda Kay, got to tell you guys I went to a coke convention with her in MN. I was in shock, to say the least at the number of people who attended and all the stuff. Took ya back to the good old dayss....rofl...well shouldn't say that you all are probably not as old as me....but back to my good old days.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

I'm close to deejay's age so no spring chicken here. ;-)

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

71 in June.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

We are all the same generation then! Linda Kay you are just a mere baby.... ;)
Well we have snow on the ground! 79 on Saturday and snow on Monday, gotta love it.
I have some fruit trees in bloom.....holding my breath. Suppose to get down in the high 20's tonight. I might try covering a couple of smaller trees if it isn't too windy.

I went to Savers and got the coke plate for the flower present and then also found a great planter it is a glass purse and I made a charging station out of an office organizer. I got so tired of looking at all the electronics laying around and cords everywhere. So I took an office organizer and ran the cords thru the weaves of the organizer and it holds everything and looks neat and nice. It also holds my phone but I used it to take the picture. I was surprised that the organizer even stays upright when just my laptop is in there, I was afraid it would tip over but it doesn't. Wish the phone would fit but the charger is a little too big to slide in.

raining hard here. expecting 3-5 inches, and sever weather before it's over. went to hospital yeaterday with chest pains, 6 hours they said they were admitting me, and hour later they said I could go home. why didn't they say that before Michael signed the admitting paper?

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

That's odd, Kathy.

Good finds, happ.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Kathy that is really strange and I am sure very scary for you guys.
Hope you are feeling fine today!

Gosh a rotten day, maybe I will try planting some seeds.
I planted some lettuce seeds the other day but it has rained sooo hard they probably washed away.

Thanks Cville. Thought maybe the organizer might be useful to others. I had thought about getting one and drilling a hole thru it but this was much easier and I love rattan stuff.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

I like rattan too. It can go just about anywhere.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I feel great today, except for being tired, which I think is the rain.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Good. I agree about the rain. Makes me feel very lazy.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Wish rattan wasn't so expensive. I have an acquaintance that actually moved to Thialand, wish I knew them well enough to try to figure out how costly it would be to get some rattan....but I don't know them that well. Course it might still be out of my budget.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Oh yeah rainy cold and cloudy and I am awful!
Could clean but rofl. Maybe I will try to find a good book, blanket, and veg out.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I just lost4 pounds since Thursday!

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Kewl. How'd you do it, Kathy?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I eat cottage cheese and fruit, lots of meat, and salads, lots of veggies, no bread or taters.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

High protein and low carb. That's what works for me too. Keep up the good work!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy has the raise my baby swap open. Come and check it out!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Yeah low carb is a good thing, dh is pre-diabetic so we keep carbs to a minimum...
I am doing the life change Dr. Michael Mosbey has created.
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/feast-famine-controversial-fast-diet-weight-loss-plan/story?id=18613821

I did it while I was working and lost weight. I have kept it off but stopped doing it when I retired but went back on it in April. I want to lose more weight. This way I don't have to give up anything or feel guilty when I go out with friends. On the fast day I make an omelet for breakfast, then a ton of veggies the rest of the day with some grilled chicken.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Interesting diet, I will have to give it a try.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Pbs had the whole hour long video on Dr. Mosby and the medical test he did before and after the diet he used himself. If you can find the hour video it is really good. There is also a book but the diet is so simple. But in the book there is lots of things abt food i didnt know. Dr. Mosby just did a thing on Pbs researching rather or not if u could increase tout iq.

Hard freeze warning tonight... :(

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

well, I hope we all make it thru this night and the next few days of coldness.. my back hurts and I am going to bed, you all take care and keep posting.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Rest and feel better, Debra. The freezing temps will reach us tonight. Around here they say don't plant anything until after tax day, but the cold will reach here on the 16th so that doesn't always hold true. I've got to move a few things.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

We are getting frost tonite, and my peach tree has peaches on it, and my apple trees are blooming. Don't know what will happen to the flower garden, but I will bring in all fifteen of my hanging baskets.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

What do you have in your hanging baskets, Kathy?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Berber daisies, crown of thorns, dianthus, new guinnea I patients, ferns, petunias, geraniums.
My clematis is are up and blooming.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Oh yea, begonias, and impatient, and coleus.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Sounds pretty Jordan. We had a hard freeze into the 20's the daffs are no longer smiling. :(
I don't even try to put anything out until atleast the 10th of May. I will try to harden off small stuff but my pots are too big and heavy to drag in and out. Last few years cold has stayed later and come earlier. Summer has been hotter dryer and shorter.

Hope everyone faired better than me.
