sure
Sorry such a long winter for all you Northerners
Coffee Break #100!
Still not very warm here, but should get better by the weekend.....
Nice shed Jen! Good to be busy in business that's for sure!
Better than not being busy in business. For sure!!!
Going to get my yellow fever shot today. I want to get it taken care of before we leave for Alaska, cuz when we get back there won't be much time before leaving for Ivory Coast. I had a hard time tracking down where to get it. CDC website didn't have some current info.
Didn't realize there was a yellow fever shot
Yep. It is the only one required with written documentation that we have to have.
Have been thinking of you, Marilyn. Sending big hugs your way.
Thanks, Jan.....rained during the entire funeral....seemed appropriate somehow....didn't realize you were going to the Ivory Coast....you certainly have a busy summer planned, & good for you!
stopped in at Mahoney's Nursery yesterday before visiting my mother. a big dent in the cc occurred and yet another jm found its way home.
Still holding Marilyn and family close to my heart.
I was at Weston's in Hopkington, and the damage to my wallet was similar, but all spent on planters and the new acer 'Gingerbread' they are going to plant for us. They drove me out in their golf cart to see it. It is over 12' tall, too big to fit into my SUV, but wow! I can't wait. The bark is a luminous bronze red and on this young tree it is still shiny, not peeling. It will look great with the mauve-blooming dwarf cherries that are coming from Forest Farm, as well as the smoke tree and red hazels. I am hoping this will the a more diaphanous area in winter and early spring, so no tall conifers until you look farther back.
Thank you, Rosemary.....that tree sounds awesome!
yes, we will need a photo after planting. Home from DGD graduation in Ohio. Sat around the airport all day because of plane-airport difficulties on the route here, then sat through the edge of a storm. Just as well to the latter, I wouldn't want to fly in it.
49° this morning--back to fleece jacket.
DD graduated sun. got to spend time with my parents as they were able to out for it :)
Awesome that you were able to be there for DGD and DD's graduation. WOOHOO!!!!!
Very nice graduation story
We're off to get our DD in Ohio in a few days, and to attend a wedding among my inlaw group.
I had no idea getting a tree planted would be so hard. Nursery requires digsafe approval and will not plant within 6 feet of a stump unless we get it ground. That's even more $$
We had a tree guy grind out a stump and he hit a gas valve cover, didn't hurt the gas line but broke his tool.
I don't blame them for being careful. It does sound like a lovely tree.
Congratulations to the graduate!
thanks!
very cute!!!
Great shots Deb! Leah is a beauty!
Thanks!
MMMMM... indeed!! Love her hair
What a little cutie pie, Deb! She must fill you with joy!
Thanks, and she is definitely a joy!
Beautiful cock pheasant under the feeder this morning.....don't know how he survived the winter!
Came home yesterday to find a very long box on my front porch.....a white weeping cherry from my friend in MA in memory of my brother......I have to wait a few days to plant it because my son will have to help.....
Oh Robin, that was thoughtful.
wonderful
How sweet, dear!!
I grew up with her, & she's a very loving person......
very nice of her!
was in colorado all last week - long trip home - TSA only had one security check open for a 6AM flight - me and a hundred others missed their flights - was supposed to be home by 2:30 - ended up taking a tour of the country and flying into Boston instead of Manchester, NH - wife had to pick me up at 9:30 and drive me up to manchester for my car and luggage - was not a happy guy yesterday.
Sorry that it was so difficult. Glad that you found your luggage.
That's terrible, Bill.....one of the reasons I gave up flying....that & holding up the plane for several hours of flight!
Stressful! That's why we take the train even though it takes longer and costs more.
long day for sure and losing 1/2 day in the garden getting luggage and car hurt with the RU so close.
drained and cleaned the pond and stream yesterday - today got the rest of the dirt moved - a lot of planting and power washed the shade side of the house - also "planted" several large boulders.
still have not weeded a thing yet - one bed is going to be a chore, put a nice layer of compost and wood ash on it last fall and knew it would be a nightmare - it will be.
YIKES, wha!!! That is the one thing I am dreading about the travel to Ivory Coast. The LONG trip. Hey, I will get to say I was in France albeit at the airport. The return trip will have two layovers. The second one in Atlanta for 7 hours. Do you think we could order pizza from my brother-inlaws shop? It's right by the airport. I think maybe we co uld get some employees to bring it in for us. Actually I am thinking I'll be curled up in a ball and sleeping somewhere.
Bill, don't worry about being perfect for the RU.....you know our gardens are weedy & seedy....just looking at the JMs & hugging each other will make it a spectacular day! Jan, the pizza sounds like a good idea.....
Yep, weedy and seedy here.
Hehehe, I thought that pizza would be a good idea. It is really good pizza. Thin crust. YUM!!!!
Yum is right....thought of you the other day, Jan, when my friend & I went up to Patti's & had eggplant fries!
Now, that is double YUMMMMM!!!!! I tried making them myself and BOY was that a (what they would call an epic fail)!!!
