Oh the powers of tamales.
Sweet Interruptions. Rm 282
Lol LK!! For us its fabrics right?
yippee! I finally got a new vacuum, and it works! it even has automatic cord rewind. I have vacuumed the whole house, and didn't have to drop kick it once!
Jaye, just "pamper" the boy until he feels a wee bit better. Then "kick" his backside for getting sick. LOL
No way, would she be able to come to the gathering LK. It is terrifying to get herself ready to go to the therapist and doctor and then we do it all over again when we start home. Today it is touch and go...I have been on the phone with her therapist and depending how the day continues we may have to take her to the hospital. She is sleeping currently (paced all night and had reaction symptoms yet again) . I was told to give her the anxiety meds and watch her. Prayers needed big time! A break through yesterday when she finally admitted she was transferring her anger to me re: marriage and leaving her (abandoning her) when she had actually suppressed her feeling about mom's death. The therapist thought that was a major issue to bring forward but today......... time will tell.
Sorry to hear she is having a bad day. Hope she is better soon.
Very cool out today, but I seem to get a little work done when it is cooler. Things are improving with my slow mind, found my sun glasses and a few days ago misplaced my keys and found them. I immediately put them in my purse before I misplace them again. DH is feeling a lot better so that takes some worry off my mind. Just hope this continues and no more flutters of the heart.
I don't think the photo tip is your fault Pegi, I think it's a DG quirk. Cute pups, at least on the backside. LOL
That is a cute picture.
Adorable Pegi!!!!
When you open that picture it opens correctly. They're so cute!
Kathy, yay for you! What kind of vacuum did you get? I need a new one, but I want another Dyson, and I just don't have the $$$ for that right now. Too many priorities above that on my "want" list!
Praying for sister Sue, Marion. So sorry she isn't responding to meds so she can feel calm and relaxed.
I wish my vacuum had a retractable cord. I did own a Kenmore with retractable cord for so many years and I never had trouble with it. I want one that will do the work itself while I sit and read. LOL
I got a eureka, and I swear it will suck up a balling ball
Is it an upright or canister? I have a canister and think it is easier for me to use.
Hello all it is hard to keep up with everything when you miss a couple days. Seems like all are doing well. What with getting new vaccums, plant hangers, and trying to post pics. Which I love bythe way. Very sweet dogs. Very sunnyhere today but way cold. Very windy. It wasmy weekend to work. We went and heard the kalamazoo symphony play Led Zepplin last night it was a very awesome show. We really enjoyed it very much. The whole audiance was into the music. Almost two hours long. We got home at 11 and I had to get up at 4. Kinda was up at 430 but thats fine. I am tired today but was very productiove at work. Have a great day all.
I'm on my second Filter Queen. I know they are expensive but so far they haven't been for us. We got the first in lieu of rent from a tenant. It was his demonstrator model. Big benefit, it had an extra long hose. That was on early 80s. Still using it regularly , it's our upstairs vac. Bought a "new" one off Ebay 5 years ago. It was reconditioned so was less than half price. Does a terrific job as does the Old one. Had one of those Kirby demos come to the house years ago. told them from the git go that there was no way I was going to buy one but they insisted. Part of the demo was where they had me vacuum and then they would go over to get all that I missed. Well guess what..didn't pick up a thing and I found out later that on mine the tank was full as I had forgotten to empty it . So this is my brand for life.
Hi all ........Sending Prayers to everyone !
The last vacuum I bought was a Shark Navigator Lift Away and I LOVE it ! It's an bagless upright with a lift off canister ,Great Suction ,Attachments ,and not high $$$ .

Happy Birthday Dylan ......He is so cute and growing so fast !
Karen, I have a Filter Queen that we bought new in the mid 70's......still use and will intil it dies. Love that machine.
I know Marion, I cannot believe what workhorses they are.
Linda, Dylan is such a cutie, I love cupcakes for kids parties.
I've missed the Blue Bonnets every time I've been to Texas. Darn.
Well i will miss you all at the gathering. :(
i just don't have anyone to take the kids during a week day.
Great pics of Dylan. so cute that little one is
I had a wonderful weekend. :) ate to much , laughed a plenty , drank good wine and beer. Very good company i had.
other then that its back to the work week for me.
taxes and dr apts , house cleaning...
its an upright and I hurt my knee when I used it. lol
sue, we will miss you too
Sue is coming to my house on Monday morning before we leave for Gatlinburg to keep Judy company while I clean one of my peeps houses. Sue and Judy are both excited about that. (Seeing each other, not about me cleaning, LOL!!)
Hello all, wasn't up to par yesterday. Had to medicate myself with spiced teas when the throat starts getting scratchy. All gone now, and fortunately, Kel stayed off his iced cold sodas for a couple of days. Hot soups for that man if he can't stomach hot drinks.
Ronna, that's a treat to watch a symphony orchestra covering Led Zeppelin. They'd be perfect for "Kashmir" and "No Quarter". That's good when you enjoy the same music as DH.
Your pups are smart, Pegi. They know how to push aside the blinds!! There was a picture online, where one did the right thing, and the other had his muzzle right up to the closed blinds!!
Karen, my ex SIL swore by Kirby. It suits her fine as she's OCD when it comes to housecleaning.
Mine is just one of those upright Dirt Devil, just right for a wooden floor, no carpets.
Watch that new vacuum sis Kathy. It might suck you up :D
I have heard about those Sharks too, Synda.
Aww.. LK.. Dylan needs a good old chocolate cake where he can slap his hands in it, and smear the icing across his face! Lol!
Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like you lost some weight there LK.
How nice of Sue to keep Judy company, Cookie. And I can see them now, swinging at your pond.
Marion, as you had said before, Sue had 'clammed up' after your mother's death and so afraid what would happened when that dam breaks. There you are, so scared to see her in that dark place now.. and for Sue to admit what she's really feeling.. is the most important recovery step, not just the right meds.
As you said, baby steps. You are all she has and need right now. God knows what's going on in that fragile mind of hers. We'll keep on praying that her strength will return, and she'd soon come to the realization that she's very much loved and needed, and should never have felt abandoned.
Hugs Marion.
I tried to convince her she needed a chocolate cake for Dylan, but Mom went with the red Elmo cake.
I have lost about 15 pounds, thanks. Not trying too, guess it is this darn bronchitis. Although it wouldn't hurt to lose about 50 more, hopefully in time!
Glad your feeling better. Tell Kel to keep that crud at work!
I agree, chocolate is better
No way! No chocolate cake for me!! That's one thing I have no trouble saying NO to!
you like chocolate cake
Does anyone know about books called "One for the Money"; "Two for the Dough"; and "Three To Get Deadly"?
They came by post today, and I didn't order them..... apparently purchased by someone?
Wish I could say it was me......but I can't.
say "order placed March 12, order received March 13".... and paid to the book store (online I presume)..... they're used books, and in good condition.
I know it wasn't me....
Sounds like a birthday present to me. katie
:-) Thank you, Katie - I appreciate it very much
Not me! Sounds like you have some books to read?
I've missed every one of the get togethers.....
have you been to any, Sue?
can't wait for next week to get here
Morning everyone! How is your weather doing? It is about 53 here this morning, supposed to be cloudy and 67 this afternoon! I need to go get a few tomato plants I bought into bigger pots, so I am off to get my fingernails dirty here in a bit!
