I'm still doing the celebratory dance!! Woohooo........... FSU and Auburn!!

Marion, that fuddyduddy Lou Holtz finally admitted that FSU is BETTER than Ohio, and it had a weak schedule until Spartans! Then he went on to say that Jimbo's team is similar to SEC.. this man HATES the SEC!! Jimbo has his own brand of program, but I am happy that FSU stands far above the rest of the ACC!
What a game Auburn played against Mizzou. From a winningless team last year, Malzahn had made it a miraculous # 2.

Sue, Stanford is a quality team! I love to watch them play. Their defense is great.
Pegi, I am certain that soon all games will be played in indoor stadiums. Too dangerous to be playing in the snow. But still it's fun to watch them slid and slide... and can't get to the football with their slow running.

It was a fun fun night. Thank you sisters for wishing us a good time. Kel is still on cloud nine. The last time he had this much fun in a group setting was in Dallas.
His cousin and and 'husband' certainly went all out with food and drinks. Even had a bartender! I had a buzz moment when trying a small tumbler of muscadine wine! Boy, it tastes like muscadine too.
There were other races and physically challenged people too. Transvetites. lesbians and gays, sharing laughter and even said prayers before the meal!!
Great thing too that many of them are SEC fans!!

I've never felt so much love in one room, in a private party! Sisters, everytime I attend Kel's family gatherings, I was always ignored. Not this time. I exist in Bradley's special circle... and Kel is more than a second cousin to him. A good friend indeed.
Thank you sisters.. I have not lost any 'people' skills, thanks to you.

Bradley and Wayne put out more than 100 trees, large and small in their house. Each room was packed!! There were trees on top of cupboards, trees on walls! I didn't take pictures of all. They said, next year, they'd be trying to hit 200!! Yeah, if they were to count the pinecones!! Lol!
Too bad it rained last night. as the trees outside weren't lit.

These are the mini trees. Some were on the wall.

Too full from yesterday, we had WM meals! The third mini tree's skirt was made by his late aunt.

The trio of trees were part of six in Wayne's mostly white bedroom. Oh.. music was piped through all rooms, even the bathrooms. Scared the dickens out of me when entering one bathroom when a man's voice boomed Ho Ho Ho.

A similar tree to this, flanking their tv in the living room and more trees on top of the tv!
Second one was a last minute tree in their office.
Third tree is one of two where the decorations are painted oyster shells, which his mother did. Bradley's mum was Murdock's first cousin.
4th tree's decorations are hung with his mother's crochets. She's also a poetess.
Last tree is dedicated to Wayne, as he's a lovable fruit!! It stands in the kitchen, Wayne's favorite room!

The tablepiece is awesome!! Some drunk guests had removed the beads that draped over!! They must be thinking it's Mardi Gras!
LK, thought of you... the last picture is of a blue angel that Bradley's mum did out of an old blouse. She's another quilter.
Murdock and her must be having the greatest Christmas ever in Heaven!

Oh Jaye, how fun, aren't you glad the two of you went. Sounds like a fun bunch. Truly love all those trees. Isn't it wonderful that Kel has such special people in his family?

Yes Karen, as the saying goes, better late than never.
Now Kel is finally experiencing what family should be. Like yours.

Jaye, I can feel the fun you and Kel had through your description. Sounds like a fun, loving get together where nothing mattered but friends!!!

I can't imagine putting up all of those trees....that is some undertaking.

Kim and I went to Market Days (Craft/Art show) today and oh did we both get in trouble. Did get some wonderful wrought iron pieces for the yard and some ah hum, ah hums and more ah hums for people. It was one of those days when we weren't exactly looking for anyone special..just looking. Had a chance to visit with a large number of vendors who I had worked with over the years in Gainesville. All 'n all, a great day.

LK, it was a fabulous day. One purchase is a huge wrought iron ball (thankfully not really heavy) that I am going to wrap Christmas lights around and hang out front. In the summer, I can put a planter inside and use it that way. Just wish the vendor had had a couple more of them.

took giget to the vet last nite and again this morning. she can have an inch of water every 30 minutes, and boiled rice and chicken, 1-2 tbs. every 2-3 hours, if she keeps it down. she has to go back tomorrow

Oh goodness, what has happened to Giget, Kathy. How are you doing? Don't forget to take care of yourself too!!!

Aww our poor furry nieces. Sue, why is Lucy in pain? Did she hurt herself?

If Gidget can only have boiled rice and chicken, the vet is trying to keep her hydrated Sis. Must be her stomach.
And yes, we hope you are taking good care of yourself too.

Sorry to hear about Gidget Kathy!

No tree yet. We went to town this week end, but it was just to cold, so hopefully this week end.

got my mri today, gidget is keeping food and water down, which is a plus. i wasso tired, i fell asleep in the mri machine

Boy, you must have been tired to fall asleep in the MRI process! They had to give me a sedative before they could do mine....yes, I am a scared cat of small places.

Okay, guys cooler weather is okay but this yucky drizzly rain has to go.

Lucy is fine , just a torn something or other. she could use surgery but we opted for some anti inflamatorys . as the cost is to much for me right now.
she did good. i had to lift her out of the truck , almost broke my back. 80 lbs the mutt is ! sheesh. such a scardy cat.
I brought her over to Cookies once for a garden club meeting and she hid under the table the whole time LOL
i have not had a beer or wine in 8 days........... that is long enough.............

Glad to hear both dogs are doing ok.

Hope all the furbabies are doing better. Today we went to the oncologist and he said it was fine that he took off the month from chemo. He was running so late that a 10:30 appointment turned into an 11:00 one. So many people in his office today, Monday's are bad for doctors. Then he went for his blood tests and doesn't go back to see the doctor until Jan. 6th. His BP is great and weight went up some, so good news this time. Now I'm waiting to see what the PSA was.

A year ago I misplaced or lost my cell phone, looked in all my jacket pockets, etc. so I had to order a new one. Today looking in closet for some pants to wear when I grabbed a pair I seldom wear and lo and behold I found my old cell phone. Well, if I didn't wear those pants for a year I guess I really don't need them. I do think they shunk any way. I guess when I start looking for things I better check pants pockets besides jackets.

Got down to 41 last night, and for us that is really cold. It is supposed to start warmning up again.

Well, we had to turn the a/c back on as it just got to hot in the house. Seriously now, what is wrong with this picture?

Karen, this is not really pleasant weather at all....very damp and yucky. The a/c is mainly to dry the house out as everything is sticky and clammy feeling.

Kathy, how are you guys doing today, Michael's surgery, and your back?

Hubby had to make a point of telling me it's 7F here today since we have to go out. I can think of another term rather than Faranheit.

Kathy, it is now raining hard and winds that are unbelievable!! I have no idea why I bothered to have my yard cleaned as you sure can't tell it now.

Today inspite the weather is wonderful.......I became a grandmother 11 years ago today. Where has the time gone? The school the girls attend will be presenting a Christmas concert in the Capitol this afternoon so this grandma thinks she will just dig out her raincoat and go!!

my back is pitching me a fit, michael is sore from the surgery, gidget is back to being gidget, so all is well and back to normal at the jordan crib

yep it sure is cold. this morning was 12 not including windchill. weather doesn't look like it will change much either in the next few days ? im thinking another school cancel for tomorrow. I guess it makes sense. So many kids stand outside and wait for the bus , not good in 0 degrees.
ice on roads again tonight. so glad i m not driving tonight.
saw the movie Frozen. oh i just fell in love with the movie. Based on the Hauns Christian Anderson book Ice Queen ? or was it snow queen ? but the music and sining was fabulous !
oh the snowman was a love !! so cute his character.
