PJ days are the best Karen!!!
I typed a post last night but I guess it went to cyber space or I spaced off the send button!!!
Anyway, I use some Wrap-N-Zap inside the microwave bowls. Joannes sells it and it is 100% cotton. It is make for use there with no metal in it...
I will get a picture soon.
BEST/Worse/What Did I learn today?chat with friends new &old
That's what I got for my Micro bowls too, have them all cut out ready for assembly. I had to run for another package of Wrap-N-Zap. had a 50% coupon but it was already on sale. Coupon was just for yesterday so passed it to another person in line.
Gotta get these things done so I can get the fixins for my scramble, I make 8 roaster pans full and still get complaints it's not enough.....kids!
Morning everyone!
Love that Santa Debbie!
Omg Debbie, so love the photo's
Paul makes a terrific Santa..sure hope he gives you your wish...can you share what you asked for?
Karen what is a scramble?
"M" nice collection of mugs..
Did you send me this sunshine..few flakes in the air but sun is shinning, likely get a suntan sitting in front of the window.
Did you sleep in LindaKay, feeling better?
Did finishing touches to one of the quilts, now washed, soon dry and I can wrap it
The morning glory quilt needs about an hour of sewing and it's done so will finish it today
Here is hoping my eagle piece doesn't have to be thrown away..a kitty pee'd all over.
Sure hope I can salvage it
I am SOOOOO excited!
Got my Santa Warren Box from "M" !!!
Oh, did you ever "nail it" for me! My daughter came running down stairs when I screamed!
Had just got done talking to DH about putting up big tree, and seeing my ornaments again,
it has been a few years. I have cardinals and angels, and may other specials.
AND, look at this!!!
Honestly these are all some of my favorite things!!!

Betty, scramble is what we call Chex mix snack, only I pretty much toss in everything I can find, I fill two large trash bags and kind of roll it gently to mix. The dressing I use is pretty much guess work because of the size of the batch I make. Everyone enjoys and DGD Emily asked if she could have her own this year as her mom and dad didn't share much.
Oh No! that beautiful eagle. Try soaking for a bit in Oxy-Clean and detergent in warm water. Should get out all the stain and smell. Might take twice to get it all.
WOW!!!!Deb.... Santa sure took really good care of you this year. We all know how especially good you have been though so it isn't a surprise. Santa Warren must have whispered in "M"'s ear!!!! Just wonderful...Scramble sounds really good Karen.
And Paul makes a fantastic Santa!!! Great pictures.
I put in most cereals that aren't sugared or fruity, lots of mixed nuts, several snack items (Bugels, pretzels, cheese Its) About 9 quarts . pour over 2 c. salad oil,1 Tbs. garlic powder, 2 Tbs.Worchester sauce, &1 Tbs. season salt. for each batch. mix well in roasting pan. Bake at 250 for 2 hours stirring every 15 mins.
I make 8 roasters full then get nice air tight containers to give as gifts.
Wow, did "M" so pick up on what would make you happy, bet Santa Warren is smilling!
From roosters to daisies and a cardinal...ALL your favorite things!
Karen, thank you for the recipe, scrumble would make great addition to the family's pressies
Have the furnace at 74 and am still chilled..
Got the two last quilts final touches done then on to the eagle
I did set in water/vinegar and still smells a bit
Thing is not all applique'd..must get that done then properly wash
Bog sigh
Crissy just posted on FB. She is in ER with possible busted elbow!! Send her some prayers, will let you know if she updates. Sigh.
We are supposed to get ice & snow tonight, and cold. DH went to get a tree for us, I had to take one of my meds (diuretic) and am tied to the house....so hope he gets a good one.
We haven't had real tree in about 4 or 5 years....or more!!!
Betty, Santa told me I was naughty....and I get nothing. The man knows too much! hehehe
Debbie, tell
Santa he doesn't know what naughty is.....yet!!!!!
Crissy just posted, arm broken in two spots. Sigh. I hope she comes and posts here, but
says in a splint til she sees doc next week.
Oh Lordy Debbie, not great news about Crissy..sending her hugs..she sure didn't need this!
Ahhh Santa's got you number Debbie. Lol
Katie, how's it going?
Oh My certainly NOT a good time for that.
Aw, poor lady. A broke arm? That would suck so bad. Feel bad for her.
Like the tshirt Debbie.
The scramble sound wonderful. My aunt used to make it. I forgot all about it. Maybe??? We are naving a partyfor work next sat I am making a couple kinds of fudge for that. And even found an ugly sweater at the goodwill. Excited. Well have amgood evening its only 20 degrees and some snow falling now.
Anxious to see your ugly sweater. Lol
Once again I say I will miss Rita when she a house to buy..she has cooked lunch and now supper..getting spoilt for sure!
Well I finished the appliqué stitch on the rest of the eagle, now in the wash, here's hoping it comes out smelling fresh
That 'scramble' here is called 'nuts n bolts' .. lotsa butter in it, but SOOOoooooooooooo good.
Poor Crissy, I had wondered if the elbow was broken, and now, the arm too .. good grief .. never rains but it pours ..
Debbie, I take a diuretic daily, trust me, I know the location of every bathroom in Thunder Bay !
I am thinking your DH picked a gorgeous tree.
Supper is done, and cleared away, and this lady is going to bed early, seems the new hip doesn't like the extra cold weather .. neither do other parts of my bod !!
Take care all
~M~
Awww Crissy! What a shame and just when things were really looking up. Hope you heal quickly and that your job will understand....Sending healing prayers your way....Barb
Hi - I must be getting better as I am in a rotten mood. An improvement over totally lethargic, I think. Might as well work on cleaning up as long as I'm in a rotten mood anyway. So have washed dishes, done some laundry, cooking a big pot of food for the furbabies. I was so lacking in energy yesterday that they got dry food for dinner. Oh, no.
sorry about crissy and broken arm, elbow and all.
Betty, the problem with your mother reminds me of many people I've known, most of them relatives. From long and painful experience I will remind you that she will never "get it." Do what you can for Jim and don't waste time/energy hoping your mother will wake up. She won't. Jim will appreciate your help with her, I know. Let that be enough. When it isn't come here and vent and we will all remind you have much we love and appreciate you.
It's been a strange day.
hugs, katie
So sorry to hear about Crissy arm. Not good at all.
What great things to receive Debbie. Lucky lady for sure.
Went to the Market Days Craft show today....oh did I find some goodies. Unfortunately the checkbook was to slim to buy all I saw I would like to have. Gonna start me a penny jar for next year.
Had a chance to visit with some of the vendors I got to know really well while do the show in Gainesville. Almost like a family reunion.
Temps here were 80 at 4:30 this afternoon, so please send me a little cool please. This is just totally insane for this time of year.
So glad to hear Crissy went and got her arm checked out. Sorry to hear it is broken.
Katie do you always make your own dog food? Hope your feeling better soon.
Marion it is 44 right now. Wish I could send you some cool weather.
Morning all
Snowing heavily here, so wish (lol) there would be squalls with it, sure would love another day to play in the craft room. Otherwise it's out I do to get a few things done!
Hope my plowman comes before I leave, haven't seen him since he has started plowing and I need to pay him his season rate.
Be careful out there Betty.
Y'All have a great day.
Just back in from shoveling the patio and dog trails .. thankfully the EXTREME cold has STOPPED, not that it's warm by any stretch of the imagination, it's aout -15F, a nice rise from
-30F .
Lorna has a docs asppt at 9am, so I'll drive her and drop her off and then try and look inconspicuous as I sit and wait. As I have said before, the parking at our local hospital is HORRIBLE .. you have to walk so far from the parking lot to the building, and, in winter it's downright dangerous. If I need to move I do, but, I'm always THERE to collect her after the appt.
Then it's off to the gym .. home, and off to DS home for our FIRST Santa and Mrs Claus meeting with the team that is arranging the evening.
Hope Crissy is doing OK .. that area is a very tricky area to set, and, goes without saying, it's painful as all git out!
Enjoy your day everyone, tossing out a snowball towards Florida for ya Marion ^_^
Toodles
~M~
Those are nice Barb. I might try to make me a few.
M, be careful traveling in that cold weather.
Roads are yucky..plows just starting to do their thing.
Enjoying breakfast..
Yikes some of the fabric on the eagle piece frayed, going to sit here and take some of the pieces off so I can repair. grrrrr bed kittie!
Hope it is an easy fix Betty.
Yeah, I am finally feeling better, but all of us girls know what antibiotics give us, so I am now treating those side affects.
I will be traveling to San Antonio Thursday to babysit, so Andy and Heather can go out for their 1st Anniversary.
Oh Bummer LK I know what an ordeal it is to have to baby sit with grands. Just grit your teeth and get through it. LOL
Oh I am looking forward to going, I love getting my Grandma time!
glad you are feeling somewhat better LindaKay..at least you can start getting into the festive season and spending time with the grandkids is always so much fun.
I just ask Sharon what her thoughts were on trying to go to her house one evening, guess next week or so, all get chinese food and all spend a 'Christmas evening' with Jim seeing as it would be impossible at Christmas
I know LOL I was poking at ya.
Sharon provided me with this link to watch..wonder why????
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85_eYftuv0k
Karen, I am so with you about having to babysit grands!! Really tough job but someone has to do it. :-) Have fun LK.
LK - lucky you, seeing the Grands :-)
Crissy - take care of that arm!!
Katie - I understand "bad moods" Hope yours lifts, without you getting lethargic again........
I have to find the Santa Warren exchange thread.......
Back home, and, to SUCH a wonderful, awesome and AMAZING surprise !
DH had the 'tongue in cheek' thing going on as he met us at the backdoor to relieve us of puppy paws and gym bags ..
NOW, I KNEW something was happening, because there was another set of tire tracks up the driveway, someone had been to the house ..
I walked in, and there on the counter was a BOX !!! For ME !!!
I was just like a kid .. I shook it, I hefted it, I smelled it (even though my sense of smell is horrid) then I looked at who it was for (ME) and who it was from (BARB) ^_^
Took my coat off and dove into my little package of heaven .. the dogs were SO excited to see ME so excited, PLUS I am sure they just knew there was something in there for THEM ..
Well .. the dogs got MAJOR treaties as did the cat .. the dog treats are not in the pics as Lilly grabbed one bag and proceeded to hide it, Piper had some treats and wanted MORE so, I had to hide 2 bags, Smokey will get his later today.
There was THE most beautiful Quilted Table topper done in red Ponsiettas (my fave) .. Gord and Lorna were in awe .. I pretty much was too LoL
Lindt Lindor truffles (of which I have had 2, so far) also a favourite .. A lovely Dragonfly nite light, already installed in the hallway and looking amazing .. a Journal, which I do use .. helps me keep my wiggly brains inline .. absolutely state of the art GOBSMACK me Betty Crocker baking/cooking utensils, which I L O V E !!!
Rainbow sprinkles and cupcake (GOLD) holders, which I will use at Christmas, THE most charming keychain from New Hampshire .. how can we tell we are only seperated by a geographical border ^_^
Potpourri which I can actually smell, and, it is DELIGHTFUL !!!
A 'notepad and pencil' magnetic, which are now on the frifge with our list for Wednesdays shop already started .. and, it has a CHICK A DEE on it .. I could busticate ..
The card accompanying the beautiful gits was MADE by Barb's DGD, Grace ..
Enough chit chat .. I have PICS ^_^
Just so overwhelmed
Thank you SO much Barb ... HUGE hugs!!
~M~
