And Happy Birthday to your Granddaughter Brooklyn. They do grow too fast!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all,

Got a lot done today but could have done much more but got lazy..rumbling out there, imagine rain isn't far behind..have one more chore to do before calling it a night!

Just spoke with Ann, she feels poorly today, says she is extremely dizzy, all the stress is getting to her!Asked if it might not be good idea to make an appointment for herself but she says no, was the same when Mike was dying.

Melissa got to hold Alexandro today for the first time..he is an oxygen and will be for some time to come, likely when he is home as well.

Alexandro -Addy isn't has a severe infection, having spinal as we speak, checking fr spinal meningitis. Critical ..Ann is waiting on news

You remember praying for her nephew Toby last fall, he is having major surgery next week to remove a large tumor and all lymph nodes so add that to her stress..not sure how she is keeping it together as well as she has been..guess you have to do what you have to do!

"M" here is hoping that you and Lorna will be up to visiting her mom/ dad , oohhh we'd certainly have to meet up. Glad you are following orders and starting to feel your old self

Sigh, need to give myself one more push, out I go, need to organize a few things in back shed then look for a project to work on tomorrow at work and it should then be time for bed,

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

Betty - it's not a long weekend that weekend in the US..... wish it were!
Hugs Barb... Glad hubs is ready to move... got to be stressful for you all...

Betty looks like a fun time was had by all. HB Roger :) (HUGS)

Can't remember the other responses I needed to say....

Hugs
Mary

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Now, that is one large family. I would love to be there when that sister glared at you. We should all be there. I bet their mother was tired at the end of the day. Loved all the photos.

Betty, I was never a Realtor. Always a loan officer. I was going to be a Realtor and a friend that was a Realtor talked me into becoming a loan officer.

We had over an inch of rain today in less than15 minutes. That is 1/3 of our normal annual rain fall. It was a beautiful day to just sit on the back covered patio, watch the rain and listen to the thunder.

I have decided I have enough fig preserves so I am giving the figs to a neighbor. I read thy are only good for about a year. We already have more than we will eat and I got lazy. Shame on me.....

You all have a great day and be safe. Hugs, Sharon

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Sooo did not want to get out of bed this a.m. Thought we would get a storm last night but it must have passed us by.

Took a walk in the gardens at daybreak, sun rising,so peaceful!

love it when all the grass is cut/trimming done but it's sad when you see fall in them, doesn't look quite as bad after deadheading.

Weekends over, Riley was at the door, guess her weekend at the cottage went well. Lol. What a kitty..will have to make note on the info sheet I will leave for the lady looking after the house next week not to fret is Riley goes missing,

Mary, meant to ask if you and Lance are involved in all the planning stages of the store? No hands on though?

Sharon, sorry, not sure how I got you were also a realtor. You do a lot of canning?

Guess we loss our Debbie, she must be busy with worries of Shannon, sending hugs.

Dianne was feeling so well last few weeks, sure hooe she's busy out doing things and not I'll.

Off to make sure I have everything in my project bag, something to keep me busy today.

Ohhh Rita who is one of the girls travelling with me and who lived just up the bay from me is hoping to have an offer come in today on their home, would be great seeing its been on the market for 2 years..high end home/cottage.

Would be worth celebrating as she got notice from their tenants in Brechin that they would be moving end of August..

Barb, Rita's place is where I took you to when we visited my sister Sharon.

Barb, you had a full day yesterday, how did you manage, didn't overdo did you?

Best I get a move on

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Yesterday was a great day for us. We did some packing in the morning and talked with our neighbors for a while. Then we went to friends house for the cookout - it was so peaceful and nice. We have been friends for nearly 25 years and so enjoy spending time with them. Then we went to Stacy's on the way home. I took a list of things that we need to dispose of and went through it with her and Scott. Most of it will go there!!! I hated to push them into making decisions about the things but I needed answers and all I was getting was "let me run that by Scott!". All settled now....
Today is a work day for Norm and a pack day for me. Tomorrow Norm will be home to do his prep for a colonoscopy on Wed. Tomorrow is also Sean's birthday and Wednesday is our son Bob's. Needless to say no big celebrations this year!!!
Off for a shower a;nd start my day. Hope it is a good one for all~~~~

Lyndonville, NY

You didn't loose me, I have been reading all along....just didn't have much to add.

I have however enjoyed the pictures.

There is lots going on over here, and I am just trying to keep up and afloat. Nothing new on Shannon.

Prayers to all to keep healing!! Barb, praying for an easy move, and

"M" I am so proud of you for getting through this and how much better you
will feel.

Love little Amelia, what a cutie! Reminds me of Kylie .

Happy Birthday to Brooklyn also...they grow too fasts.

I am doing laundry, cleaning, more laundry....and cleaning out a closet today.
I hope!

Debbie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Betty, what are you working on today?

Happy Birthday to Jaye! I know she pops in here once in awhile!

Ambitious Day Debbie !! DO NOT OVER DO !!! yes I yelled. Same for You Barb.

I am going to sew, nothing but sew. I hope. we will see if Dave changes my plans when he gets up. He has had a few rough nights, and not slept well. so I am sneaking around, to let him continue sleeping now. Know he needs it.

I am trying to pick colors for a few blocks in my quilt along. want to work on birdhouses today. and get one of the two round robins quilts I have done.

I have a few beautiful birdhouse blocks done, pieces all cut and fused. now afraid to do the stitching and ruin them !! Yikes. directions call for free motion stitching just inside edge of each piece. I am NOT good at free motion. wondering if I should do blanket stitch instead??
off to decide.

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

Thought I had lost you all. Paniced!!!!! I paid my sub and walla. Good hopes and prayers for all. love and hugs BEV

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Bev, what are you up too? Hope your not working too hard!

Barb, looks as though you have the move well under control, even found a home for some of your treasures. How old will Sean be, he's grown so, think he's a few years younger than Noah? Been a long time since you were so active, wonderful that you got all in..Here's hoping Norm gets good results from his colonoscopy.

Debbie you sure are on a cleaning mission, does one good to work ones stress out and end up with a clean house. Prayers continue for Shannon.

Happy Birthday Jaye, hope you get a trip into your favorite quilt shop and dinner out. How's Kel's dad?

Thunder, am sure the blanket stitch would be fine..used it on the birdhouses I sent out. Did a few with batiks and applique, saw that the girls are getting pieced squares so now not sure which I should be doing. They will get completed once I'm back from vacation. Free motion on raw block Thunder? hmmm

Sorry to hear Dave has had some rough nights, he had improved somewhat and now this downward slide..hard to be quiet in a house, that's when all goes wrong, drop pots/pans..door shuts with a bang..

As for what I'm working on, don't have the eagle's head cut out so will try to get it done.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Bev, waving 'hi'
I thought of you this morning, lost all my lillies but this morning, hidden in the top garden was one lonely lily..guess it's hidding underneath all the growth so those darn little bugs don't get it.

How are you doing with sales? and your friend, spending time doing fun things?

heading close to where you live on Fri/Sat, sure hope you've ordered sunshine for me and of course have all those cornfields cut so I don't get lost..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty I didn't change states, just moved from Central Arkansas to Northwest Arkansas. before I lived 4 hours from Branson, now I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Branson and I AM OFF WORK WHEN YOU WILL BE THERE!!!

Betty what day do you think will be best, I can meet you on Sunday or Monday, whichever. I would LOVE to see you ladies again!!! Forgot to say I'm off from Sunday through Wednesday.

Sorry I've been out of pocket, I'm glad that everyone is doing good! I've been busy with work and trying to keep my ducks in a row.

Crissy, will know better where we will be on Saturday night so will post schedule and see if we can't meet up if that is ok with you.

Linda who works for the Courts (Magistrate) just called and can et off at 12:30 on Friday..that's great news, called Paul and asked rather than 3pm closure, most often 1pm on long weekends, could we not get off at 12:30pm..answer is always the same, 'what ever you need off' oh happy days!

Looks like all plans are going according to hoyle..Suzanne will man my post while we strap on luggage to the travel platform, gas up, get treats for travelling, pick up pizza's to eat while we drive..likely if we get to Sarnia around 4pm we just might beat the border line-up for the states.

4 more sleeps lol just not coming quick enough for all of us.

Rita is so excited as an offer came in, they counter offered and she will know tonight if their house is sold. If it is she will not move to their other home on Simcoe Lake, Gerry will, told her she could move in with me and take a month or so to decide just where she wants to live, might do. Gerry was trying to get her to NOT go with us, says there is much to do but she's holding her ground, says absolutely she is going.

She will spend Thursday night with me so there is no issue him not taking her to Barrie...

Betty, what holiday is it for you guys?

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay it is our Civic Holiday, not all of our provinces have civic holiday, luckily Ontario does.

"M" I'm sure Brooklyn will understand, it's best you don't overdo..Lordy already 15' how she's grown. Have you been able to stay up a bit today?

Thanks Debbie, no hurry...shucks if swaps keep arriving at your house I'll have to rent a room to keep house them.

Had chicken souvlaki for lunch at 2:30pm, left 1/2 of it, wasnt hungry and now I am..maybe fresh tomatoes and cucumbers would hit the spot!

Bet you are all having something far more appetizing than I.

Should really go do something or else I'll end up dozing off and then not sleep all night.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Had a great day here. A lazy ho and humid Monday.

The puppies and I spent about 2 hours on the back patio before DH got up. He is a late sleeper. By that time it was 10;20 and time for his and the puppies breakfast.

I was going to do some gardening today but just did not get to it. I had just started to make the bed and noticed DH was not looking very perky. So I told him to go back to bed and I would wake him in time for his PT which is at 2pm. He has Parkinson and it is wearing him down.

I have been cleaning out my SUV because my son Todd and his family are flying in Friday night and driving it to San Diego Saturday. Back area has three covering mats and still had a lot of gardening debris. I am having it serviced tomorrow. They will be back after one week and then we will get to see him and the family. He will be 50 on the 5th. He was born the day after my 21st birthday. His sister and family are currently in Newport, California. Everyone leaves town this time of year to get out of the heat. Todd is a Doctor in Spokane, Washington and he is coming down to warm up. He is a gardener but has always gardened in the SW desert. He has been in Spokane going on 4 years. The home they purchased was previously owned by two Master Gardeners. They have three children. I told him, do not be like your mother and garden on every inch you have.

So glad everyone is doing well today. Debbie, I hope you took a time out doing all of that work. Have a great morning tomorrow. Hugs, Sharon

Betty I have to work til 5:30 on Saturday, I'm off Sunday thru Wednesday.

I'll catch up with y'all in a bit.

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

Betty - Well... pretty much all planning will be done by us. Hubs is working on the inside of the "space".
Our new love on TV is Restaurant Makeover and it's always in Canada so we think of you "Guys" in Canada.... Notice a lot of purple... LOL
We want a Banquette down one wall.... there seems to be a lot of that going on ....on that show.
I had a wonderful day... we had a telemarketing thing which I normally hate but now that I am out of "Witchy's Aura" I am so uplifted..... got 2 almost 3 appointments made...more than anyone else.
When I came home I had chest pains and tingling and feeling funny. I can't imagine why ......since I'm so so so MUCH stress free since moving my desk. Never felt that way before.

Debbie you must be in cleaning overdrive... I did that for a few months and need to go back into that "mode"....
Still have an area to finish....
Hugs to all.... sorry I'm not really addressing everyone... will try to make sure to do that very soon....

Good morning

Wishing everyone a beautiful and productive day.

Chilly here this morning, rain expected later too. Long as it's not snow. I'm ok with that.

I am still quite stiff and sore, but, the exercises do help. Just having one hecuva time sleeping on my back!
Last night I had to put up with restless legs, lordie is that irritating. Must get DH to pick up some tonic water today, supposedly good for restless legs.

The twins are never far from my mind. Any updates Betty?
I do remember Ann was not feeling well.

Best get at those exercises.

Morning everyone!
Mary, if you are having chest pains, and tingling, you need to go see a Dr. ASAP please???
Mary, did I miss something? Are you and hubby opening your own business?

Crissy, it will be nice if you can meet up with Betty!

Marilynne, glad to hear your doing better. Just take it one day at a time, and you will be better before you know it!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

what I learned today:
do not leave hubby's traffic ticket on end table, puppy will eat it

Ocean Springs, MS

Good morning! I'm back! I have missed all of you and want you to know I love all of you! Best thing today- saying good morning to all of you! :)

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Getting loaded to hit the road. Missy Amelia surprised us all last night and took off walking. Last trip up she was sooo good on the road, hoping this will be the same.
Talk to you all again on the top side.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

LMBO! One way to get rid of a ticket!!
One of our Westies chewed up a lab requisition once, I handed it over and the lab tech laughed. It was at least readable. :)

Staying alone with furries today, for maybe an hour or so.
DH is shopping for ingredients for a casserole I found on Facebook
Sounds yummy
Will be the first meal I have cooked in months!!

Waiting for the rain to start, thunderstorms predicted, we'll see.

Take care

Hello there,

been busy with the eagle, grrrr, next time I say I'll put a project aside don't let me..

helllllooo there Julie, it has been a long time, how are you doing sweetie?
tis the best of the day for sure seeing you post!

Kathy, yikes, now it means a trip to courthouse to get a new one or let it lapse but fine doubles, what will you do?

Mary, sure hope you take the day off and head to the doctor's, not a good sign at all.. ohhh did I tell you Mary that Saturday night at the function Jeff/Julie and I were kabitzing and I told him about the 2 sets of hidden mushrooms..when Suzanne got to the table he gave her hints as to what I was up to, none of which she got, he told her when the time comes she'll realize what each hint made..he's such a tease.

"M" lordy girl you are on the mend..already into the kitchen cooking..didn't realize one could have such an operation and be on their feet so soon..hopefully you are using the wheelchair.

Ahhh Karen, how wonderful you were there for Amelia's first steps..you are leaving shortly, long drive ahead of you, here's to safe travels.

Thunder, how did you make out with your sewing yesterday?

LindaKay, what are you up to?

looked like rain earlier this a.m. but seems to have cleared.

This afternoon I'll have to make a list for the lady staying at my house next week, would have been nice to have met her but not to be. Bernice will come over and I'll show her everything, must call to have her over Thursday night.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Not much today, just watering flowers before it gets to be another 102 temp day! Then off to the post office and wally world this afternoon!

Hey Julie, how are you doing? Where have you been, we missed you!

Karen, drive safely please? Amazing how quickly those little ones learn to walk, then off they go!

Victoria Harbour, ON

102, wow, don't know how you'd want to get anything done in those temps.

Just talked to Ann, not change in the twins, that can be seen as good news, imagine, they will be 3 weeks old on Friday. Ann says the dizzies have stopped, she is leaving for Toronto tomorrow morning so she can visit with the babes while Melissa gets a bit of rest.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, check your dmail.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is good news Betty!

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Yesterday I did a bag for a customer. and worked on some blocks. Made a different bird house block, sew today I can practice on it....then get to the real ones that's gonna be my next move..

Thunder that picture is priceless!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

betty, went to court house, stood in line for 1 hour, for them to tell me I don't have power of attorney so he has to take off from work and go himself

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Betty ... I am up as tolerated using a 4 wheeled walker (Lornas) this casserole I can sit at the table and put together. DH will be the gopher :-)
Sure looks and sounds nummy ^_^
Will share the recipe AFTER the 'taste test'.

Kathy .. I would have been livid had I have stood in line that long, sorry that happened to you.
The lab req the dog had chewed was still decipherable.

Betty .. how is Sharon doing with the house renos following the water damage?
I think of her often, what a mess that must be.

About an hour ago there was a knock at the backdoor .. the WESTIE alarms were in double time !!! Here it's a beautiful fruit basket (fruit, cookies, cheeses, chocolate bars etc) from 2 good friends(couples) we have .. am planning to spend sometime this aternoon writing some thank you notes.
Nice to see an enclosure from the company the basket came from stating that they would 'reimburse' in some way with the return of the basket .. nice way to recycle ^_^
Trick now is to STAY AWAY from the shortbread cookies that came in it, my downfall!!

Hard to believe 3 weeks has gone by since the twins entered the world .. as always the gentlest of thoughts and prayers for them and their family.

Thunder, love the pic ... true love there !!

Getting the ever famous 'NUMB BUM', should go and do the exercises once more.

Toodles

~M~
