busy canning still. today was corn in the freezer , i have tomato's boiling away in the canner . Hope they come out ok for fair .

well tomorrow is the busy day i have to do a practice run on my baked good ( brownies, chocolate cake and peach pie ) to make sure they come out good enough for fair.

It's a grand day today! Weather is in the low 80s... very few mosquitoes.. can't plant anything but I rearranged some garden scape.
Lunch was fresh mozarella with home grown tomatoes and a dab of balsamic vinegar.
I wish all my sistahs are here to celebrate my birthday with.

Hehehe.. I'm a great sister!! One brother and a sister failed to wish me, so I posted on their FB pages that it's my birthday!
That brother did send his greetings, but I had to scroll waaay down the page to find it. Lol. The other sister did her duty!
It's so nice to be the eldest!

It just amazes me, Sue, how early the fair is in Ohio. My sister lives in Columbus but we've never made it to the fair there because I always forget how early it is. Ours is in mid-October. It kind of seems like cheating to hold a fair before the nights start to get chilly. It's not as much fun stealing a snuggle at the top of the Ferris Wheel if you're sweaty. :)

I came in late and discovered it is your birthday, Jaye. Hope you had a nice one. I'm going to have to make a list of birthdays so I won't be so late in wishing everyone many blessings.

I just put a plant in the ground here and there and just hope it grows. Most are in pots now. I have no idea how to place them so them make a beautiful area. Cindy sure knows how to plant them. Glad Doug took special care of your garden, and I love your house too. I'm ashamed to say my front yard needs a lot of care, so many weeds, etc. Getting down to pull them out is difficult, but hardest part is getting up again. Guess I better get my little "John Tracter" out in front and get to work.

We back up to woods so my back yard is always full of weeds and weedy grasses - grrrrrr. But when the gal who mows gets it all cut, it looks fairly decent. Can't hardly tell it from a lawn (maybe). At least for about a week. Trying to weed would be futile and I'm not spraying it with poisons. I guess it is what it is.
