Back of the head is pounding, know its worry..thought if I got up might move it around, did the border around the canvas enclosure, need to put gromits but it means hammering, will wait till morning..needsdonebecause I have the unit being the car and want it off before I back into something..blue skyoutthere now, warning said 8 or 9 pm might be in our region, wind is up, almost tempted to shut of a/c then open all the windows.

Over the past year I have been stung by by Yellow jackets on 3 different occasions, the last 2 times within a couple weeks of each other , and each time my reaction to it was more severe. Since I have allergies already, I called my Dr to get a script for an Epi pen....an epinephrin injector used for treating anaphalaxis. He called in my script, but i still scheduled an appointment for a check up. I have what my Dr. calls White Coat syndrome .....my blood goes up when I see the Dr..(for a number of reasons, I. sure. LOL) Usually it returns to normal with in a few minutes. This time it didn't, and I had an appt with him Monday for a recheck. DH was going to check it for me, but he was working nights over the weekend and was asleep when I thought about it...hated to wake him, so i was going to get him to check it before he left for work Sunday.....I forgot....BIG mistake.

Oh Moon, I have one of those doctors too....just look at the man (or think about him) and my rotator cuff

sounds like nerve damage to me.. back of my head gets almost unbearable, when I am under a lot of stress..
injured in a car accident, about 12 years ago. head got slammed into the headrest. nerve damage. hurts all of the time. much worse when stressed.

Thunder, last time I was at the doctor's it was determined it was whiplash (teach me for hanging out with those university students in New Orleans) lol, add that to the nerve casing missing on a nerve and voila headaches..not 1/2 as bad as they once were. Will though if they continue get doctor to get further tests!

Yes, we are getting all these storms too. It has been forever since we saw the sun or at least it feels that way. Poor Sean is at his wits end with it. He lives for the summer and his baseball and it rains every day around game time. He is so disappointed.

Except for this darn foot, I'm really feeling much better. I actually did some housework yesterday!!! It has been difficult to stand but now I brought the walker into the house and sit and lock it and I can function!!!
Isn't it funny how we don't think someone else can clean things the way we want them to be? I know Norm has done an exceptional job but I just needed to clean the bathroom yesterday. I must be one of those people with one of those disorders!!

I am hoping to get to sew for a while today.
Have been praying constantly for Ann and the babies. My heart just goes out to her and her family.

So happy to see you post Jean and to know that you are on the mend. That must have been one heck of a scare.

might work on that iron caddy now that I have it marked..got an e-mail this morning saying Fabricland has a few days of 75% off overstock or old stock. Need backing in black/white for Melanie's christmas quilt and also brown/green tones for the top I just finished so think when Suzanne gets in I shall wander over..keep thinking 75% off $20 fabric is still more expensive than Joann's fabric.

Haven't heard anything from Florida Husqvarna shop, you would think I'd have an update..emailed them yesterday still no reply..will wait till end of day and e-mail or call.

Betty, prices for fabric here have been creeping up too. If I buy it at Joan''s or Hobby Lobby, I pay about $10.00 to $12.00 per yard. but I always try to find fabric on sale or use a coupon. Then it is about $8.00 per yard. But I like shopping online also, as I have not yet been upset with the quality of fabric they send, online I can get it for about $5.00 per yard.

always find with coupon at Joann's that it's such a value..couldn't afford to sew as much as I sew! Hoping to find bargoons lol

Not much for rain at all here Betty, and today is beautiful. High of 76 they say and no humidity.

Betty, praying those babies are staying put...and they can give medication to help their lungs mature
if they can keep them in place for 48 hours. Even though the water broke.....being boy and girl, she may
only deliver the one in front and the second has own sack....and can stay put. Prayers prayers.

went to Fabricland, what a waste of time...up to 75% off, right, 3 or 4 rolls in their entire stock and nothing that anyone I'm sure would use on a project. So guess I will be making a trip to Joann's.

Likely not till after my Roadtrip and because Greg called awhile ago to say that likely they would be installing central air one day next week at the house.Best I save my $$$ for that, then watch a cold front come for the rest of the summer.

Ann wants to buy the a/c floormodel I bought last year so the unit won't be wasted.

Went for what I thought was just pre op bloodwork .. WRONG......
WELL .. it just wasn't blood work ..it was a FULL pre op assessment .. took 2.5 hours .. xrays, ECG, saw the anesthetist who has talked me into having a spinal .. hope I'm making the right decision with that .. did lotsa waiting (people watching)
Still so nervous ... to the point I feel ill
Probably lay down for a bit this aft ..

Have had central air for about 3 years now, love it :-)

Having it sprung on you like that "M" didn't give you time to fret. All pre-op is behind you, one less thing to worry about! With it taking 2 1/2 hrs. I'm sure you are plum tuckered out. Did Doctor give you a reason for wanting you to have a spinal?

I'm in bad books, hadn't spoken to mom in a week and I had left a message for her to call me..started with she had a mini stroke again, didn't go to the doctors though so I told her last time she was lucky that she should have headed to the hospital..she knows better..

Said she was at the animal shelter looking for a dog, another discussion..

then started to go on and on and on about Aunt Muriel's adoptive daughter/son in law and how they don't care about her now that she signed over her home to them..went on to tell me about things she heard, ok, when did you hear this, about 20 years ago..omg, I told her she was very un Christian, no forgiveness, she went on to say at least she goes to church, I went on to say Church alone doesn't make you a Christian..unforgiveness is what she should try...ooops

thank goodness the telephone rang and I said I had to go

The premise behind the spinal anaesthesia is that you come around quicker with less pain .. ready to rock and roll 8 hours after surgery .. well .. maybe roll .. rock might be day 2 LoL
Even though I'm a nurse, I still have doubts etc .. and I SO want to 'google' it, but DH says not to .. will just wind myself up more.

Lovely day here, Lorna cut the lawns, took her 3.5 hours .. and .. she LOVES it !!!! We're lucky she is such an avid landscaper !!

For the 1st time in weeks a/c is off and windows/doors are open and a chill in the air...feels absolutely wonderful. Was tempted to go get. My lawn cut but I'm sure neighbors wouldnt appreciate it at this time of morning.

3 days off and no plans other than if someone needs me.

Slept off and on, feel nauseated thinking of everyone near me having so many difficulties right now.

Waiting to hear from Ann, if no call comes in by evening I will call her cel.

Suzanne, they have been in hospital all night so waiting on her call.

Sharon called last night, her washing machine flood ipdamage is up to $80k right now, workers coming to take out her cupboards so flooring will be put down when sub floor is dry enough, looking to see if any damage to cupboards, all the bedrooms that had rugs put in last Tuesday all need to be replaced, and on and on.
she is just overwhelmed, got the house all redone last couple of months so she could list it, wants to move closer to me and now this. To make matters worse, she has 7 of her friends coming in from all over USA for a dog show she's putting on in a few weeks, big sigh!

aunt Muriel decided to go with the operation even though the odds are against her..knows the Lord will see her through

My cousin/SIL Linda has had bad news, her young son who had heart surgery at 36 is now seeing heart surgeon and doesn't look good. She will know on the 19th if she can make our roadtrip.

Rita and I also gabbed last night, major problems there..

Sooo who kows maybe roadtrip will not happen, Suzanne might be too worried about Audrey Rose to go, Linda may want to be near her son, Rita will go but we'll have to see

Then I wonder why my mind wouldn't shut down.

Suzanne just called, doing a brain scan on AudreyRose, have an MRI to be scheduled, she does have pneumonia, why they would not have found that a few days ago when they rushed her in I don't know..seems they are doing all the tests.

My mom just called, could tell there was snippiness in her voice, told her about Suzanne and Ann's problems, asked her to pray for them and her voice softened so maybe I averted a problem.

Lordy I must after taking drugs when I got home last night gone into a deep sleep for awhile, Suzanne said she called me 5 times.

With our family physician on holiday, I am going to have to go to a walk in clinic for a doc to fill out redundant pre op paperwork. Seems everyone wants their cut of my misfortune :(

just finished grommets for our travelling canvas cover, cut a few knives and apple, shortly to be 2 apples, lordy now if I can only push them through the band saw without leaving fingers behind I can have something to paint either at night while watching tv or at work, likely at work..am sure I have a 3rd apple somewhere but where..would love to do the 3 at same time seeing as you wait for drying of paint then I could move on down the line..I had one, must have given it away..want one again so one will be mine

As you can see, when I'm upset, nervous I become the most industrious elf on this planet..by end of weekend there should be dozens of projects completed, more if no good news

Rained hard here most of the day yesterday then slow drizzle last night. Had dinner with my son and his family...what fun. Then the 2 granddaughter and I went for ice cream and some grandma spoiling time. They are growing so fast!!!!

Trying to get things done as I leave for Atlanta in the morning......so excited to have Kim home and hear of all her activities while away. Her kitty is missing her something terrible....chewing my toes now!!!

hate to see you drive all the way to Atlanta (which isn't fun near the airport at best of times) all on your own. Could one of the girls not go with you to chatter you on? What time will you have to leave, leave an hour or so earlier and so some mini stops, who knows might be a fabric shop along the route that way it will not seem as long.

Betty, I drive back and forth to see my mom (6 - 7 hrs.) by myself so that doesn't bother me....and all the roads around Tampa are under construction so ...... It is only about a 4 hour drive from here to Atlanta and not much traffic until I get almost to the airport. Plan to leave early so I can stop if I see something I would like to look at, have a snack for lunch, etc. Will have my Nook so if I am really early can sit in the airport and read until she arrives.

We are staying over night near Atlanta so we can attend a horse show.....cheer on one of her students/friend. We really have enjoyed getting to see her grown in her chosen sport and this will be a qualifying event for going to more advance show in Texas during the fall. Her mother is our vet and we do a lot of things with them socially. Taylor thinks Kim is her big sister/teacher. :-)

Well then I shall not worry, you've everything under control..now if you get the urge for driving just continue north on 75, cross at Detroit and you are almost at my house..ok, you'll stop and visit family first, but that is ok.

Glad to have Kim back on home soil.
