Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Thank you, Barb, it is indeed getting better. ^_^

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cookie, that photo is so beautiful! So glad to see that you have all of us giving you both huge arm wraps!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

so stressed today went to see my husbands boss. good thing he wasn't there cuz I was on a rampage. enough is enough. he can send danny down to finish the job from hell, because either Michael dstarts working where he can be home or I;m leaving

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What's happening at his work?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You both look good in that prayer shawl. Not all are quilters or frequent this thread.
Cookie, if you wished to know, these are the hands that contributed to the shawl. Yes, Judy did well and kept the "party in a box" and the makings of a shawl a well kept secret!

Lizrainey or Liz
Barb
Thunder
Dahtzu or Faye
Marion (Judy kinda took her hand off a picture clutching that JD pillow at BJ's)
Linda Kay
Betty
Samigal or Pegi
Ridesredmule or Charleen
Susan
and of course, Judy's hands too.

Even though my hands and some who frequent here are not on the shawl, needless to say, our thoughts are with you and Bill for the best of health and happiness.

I just talk to Sis Kathy, and I insist that she's NOT holding a sistahs gathering any time soon.
Trying to reason with her that she has too much going on for now and the days ahead.
Most importantly, we all know she's truly physically not at 100%, and expecting a possibility of a back surgery, on top of other ailments that she's suffering now.
Add the worries of Kaden to that mix and still dealing with legal issues for another matter (if she chose to disclose)
And we all know what it's like to move into a brand new home and getting things put together.
I'm afraid, she really has more than her share of 'burdens' on her back, and like the turtle, if tipped over, she won't be able to get up.
We won't be that extra burden, right?
I told her that we love her too much for her to try to please us by holding the gathering. None of us will hate her if she cancelled it.
If I had stepped out of bounds by telling her this, that's okay. All that matters to me is hearing Sis Kathy's laughter and be pain free.

Marion you're right in voicing your concerns whether she's ready and I'd say emphatically, no.

For now and the next few months, she needs to concentrate on healing, and I suggest that for Michael's sake, they need to take a vacation .. maybe with Sara toting along.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You're not cancelling on us. WE want you to cancel on us. Your mind and health are very important to us that love you!!! Should I ask Jax to twist your arm?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

OH NO, NOT JAX, SHE TWISTS TO HARD

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

just a little diddy

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kathy, I can relate to how you feel but we can have a gathering down the road....time to heal and sort things out now. I hated to cancel also but I know now with everything that has happened I could not have hosted a gathering..........maybe in the fall or winter when the northern gals need some sun.

For now, take the time like Jaye said, heal, get to feeling better, work things out with Michael those are the top issue!!

Trying to figure out how to use my new GPS....yikes at the changes since my last one about 6 year plus ago. Maybe Charles will help when he comes to change the wiper blades on the Highlander.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, you did the right thing. Kathy, you need to get your body fixed, and your home together before tou try to entertain us! We all understand, and agree with Jaye. There will be another time for us to party.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

but I feel like I let y'all down, and i'm so sory

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No way you let us down Kathy! The party has just been delayed, and it will be even better when the time is right.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

It had to be raining somewhere in California as about 50 drops came down here. Just wish we could have a real rain and not wait until fall.

Really a great picture of Joyce & Bill with the prayer shawl (((((Hugs)))))

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hi - nothing much going on here, either.
*hugs* to everyone

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Knee's better

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Glad to hear the knee is better Susan. How have you been? Did you get your RV back okay?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I asked God to send you some rains, Pegi. Got plenty here, willing to share!

Hugs back to you, Susan. Don't be a stranger.. we miss you.

Have a great time with Cookie, Sue.

Good morning Barb! Hope you're not in too much pain.

Since I'm expecting more rains, think I'll finish off a couple easy table runners. Including the one that I had to rip. Kel is wanting one of those pretzel bun burger from Wendy's, so no cooking for me.. hallelujah.

Marion, wishing you a safe trip to Atlanta.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks much Jaye. Had coffee...well first cup for the day. I am sure there will stops along the way for more...love my coffee!! I see on FB that Kim is already at the airport.

Another small disaster last night. Charles stopped by to look at the dungeon and noticed mold on the new dry wall....should not have been. He got curious about why it was there only to discover the dry wall was very wet and has to come down yet again. Tracked down the culprit.......the entire wall backs up to the brick steps at the front of the house....builder put absolutely nothing between brick and wall.....mortar has deteriorated and the water is pouring in every time we have rain. Speaking of rain....we had a several rain storm last night so I am sure it got a good soaking. Ah, well it every finish!!!! He is going to attempt to seal it before he leaves on Monday but now I have to call someone who does brick work.

Need to run...time to leave to go get Kim...well be nice to have her home.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Have a safe trip Marion!
So sorry to hear about the brick problem! Sure hope it is an easy fix!
Jaye have a good day sewing! Hope your seam ripper does not work too hard today!
Hey Susan, glad to hear your knee is doing better. Sure hope your camper had no damage after that storm!
Judy, how is the job going?
Pegi, you and I both need that rain! Ladies on the East coast, please turn the fans this way! ^_^
Sue, enjoy your visit with Cookie today!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

no damage to motorhome - it was just the damage between Calgary and where we were camping which cut us off.
everything's fine

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Another very warm day, just can't get myself going. We were over to the senior center on Friday and sat at a table with two other ladies. They were mother and daughter and that mother is going to be 80 in November and you wouldn't believe how spry she is and had to get up and walk around, not content just sitting. The center was signing up people 65 and older for CalFresh (I thought it was a new program for seniors) food stamps for all who qualify. 50/50 chance so we went and sat most of the day because there were so many to sign up. A gal from the food bank came and made out all applications for us and thank goodness we can deduct mortgage payment and utilities bills. Too bad we can't use the medical bills. Will know in a couple of weeks whether we qualify or not. That is the new name for food stamps now, even the homeless who don;t find shelter for the month can get $143 worth of stamps.

On Monday DH has an appointment with oncology doctor. I hope he is happy about the PSA level dropping although it isn't in the normal range yet. Then another chemo treatment that week. We are in a positive mood now! Prayers are surely helping.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Mine continue Pegi. Prayer works!!!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank God for small blessings sistahs!
Amazing how Darwin's PSA levels have gone down and as long as we keep on praying, there will be more blessings and thank you Lord, Pegi!

Oh yes, prayers do work... whether they're loud shouts to Him or small whispers. Amazing how He knows what's in our heart when we can't find the words..

Susan, what are you up to with quilts?

Morning LK.. morning Barb.
Good rain-free day today. Gonna enjoy the gardens and WM later.
Marion, report please!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's beautiful!! I want one!! No wait.. I already have too much, according to Kel.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

can never have enough daylilies. it's called strike a match, and I ngot it for $100.00

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Where did you get that from? It's a rare beauty.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis, if you get it from Marietta Gardens, I hope he gives you more than one fan.

John and Elizabeth Shooter are my favorite hybridizers, and they live not too far from me.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pretty sure I'm about to have a go-around with my Dr. I told her I was having a lot of pain in my legs so she sent me for ultra-sound. Then her asst. call and said they made me an appointment for a MRI and an appointment. with a surgeon because there were blockages. We have an online system with our MD called a portal all test results go there, we can leave messages and set up appointments through there. I checked in there and it said the results of the MRI was NO significant blockages. I left her a message to please call me as I see no reason to go see the surgeon so he can tell me the same thing. That was Fri. Morning, if she doesn't call me tomorrow, I'm cancelling the appointment with the surgeon. I've already spent $100. for each of the tests and cannot see spending more unless she can give me a good reason.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I would call and get that straightened out ASAP!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

it did come from marrieta gardens, and they always treat me good there

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's good to know sis. Next time I see them, I'll mention your name.
I love it when John waits on me, he's very generous.

Karen, I like that sentence "no significant blockage". Apparently your doctor mustn't have checked the ultrasound and MRI results. I would have done the same thing. That extra cash could be used on fabrics!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

for those of you that don't know what's wrong with me, here it is
