http://davesgarden.com/extras.php#b

Seed packet print outs are there.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No promises but I have it on the calendar. It all depends on what my gastroenterologist says in a few weeks.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I hope you can make it

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

No promises either Sis. But will do my VERY best.

Been a hard day... night.. and I've been worrying like a dog!! Worrying doesn't do anyone any good right? I'm out of Jack Daniels, and I don't think I can finish a whole bottle of Cabernet. So...to distract my mind, I've been aimlessly surfing.
Ever had the feeling the four walls are closing in on you and you need to get a better grip on yourself?
No.. I'm not depress.. got calls from ex saying his sister may have not long to live. I love this woman.
Kel's been acting out his worries in a negative way. FIL's going downhill. Kel's been lashing at the kids and that upset me greatly. Yep, I'm a tigress when it comes to my cubs!!

Oh well, this too shall pass. Tomorrow who knows, Santa Claus might come to my house early!! Lol!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Sorry Kathy, but I can't make it. Every year i say I want to go to this one and something bites me in the behind!!! So I don't make plans any more it's spur of the moment. Like yesterday, wanted to see a friend I hadn't seen since hubby died, so we met up, visited for awhile, then Doug and I went riding. Was my first ride this year ^_^, so now I have the to get back on mine. Going to study while in Oregon, come home get permit and GO FOR IT!!!! ^_^

Thanks LK, you're GOD send!!!! I'm swamped with seed request from my Yellow Hibiscus

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

sorry cindy, was really hoping you could come. but you can still join my swap. would be proud to have you

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Getting ready to do some look see at my favorite LQS. Very rarely it offers sales. 30% off on everything! I'm scared that it might go the same route as one of the quilting stores. Started at 30.. then all must go.. hope not.
It's the only Viking dealer at the beach.
So.. see you all later. Kel wants hotdogs and chili from Hamburger Joe. I'll stick to a nice salad from Wendy's later.

Come on sistahs.. sign up for Sis Kathy's towel swaps. How easy is that? Light on mailing too!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Have a good trip Jaye. Hope several pieces of fabric jump into your cart!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Just got back. Traffic was horrid, on a Monday! Unbelievable. Bumper to bumper all along the main stretch of highway to get to the store. What should have been an hour's drive, turned into an hour and a half.
But once I crossed the threshold of that store, all frustrations and tiredness fell off my back!! I was in heaven.. fabric heaven!
Lucky me, I found some bolts with 40% off, mostly kiddy fabrics. No Kasse Fasset, but Kel did pick out a few batiks to go with that Hoffman brown.
One sales lady was teasing me whether I'm addicted to fabric as the tshirt I wore said "Fabric Hoarder". Told her that I am the President of the DG Fabric Hoarders Club!!!
I should be wearing a shirt that says "Queen of Unfinished Projects"! That's me!

Kel kept asking whether I'm contented with those few yards of fabric. Hmmm... sometimes I can't read that man. Wondered then if he was being sarcastic! Lol!!

Didn't even go through the new patterns they had on sale LK. That's for another sale, hopefully.

I've been following Sue on FB. Seems she really is having a great time reconnecting with her family.

Sis Kathy, hope you are able to walk with that leg. Was it a spider?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you had some relief at the store Jaye! Sorry to hear about the bad traffic. Maybe it was everyone going gome after the holiday?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

We think so too LK. There were plenty of horns blowing around us, but I'm pretty surprise that Kel hasn't lost his cool. Maybe it's that food reward that got him occupied! Lol!!

Marion, has Kim improved on her communication skills yet? She could say.. "Miss you, wish you're here.. "

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, how are you doing on the dungeon? Almost done?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Sue and the kids are back in OHIO!!! Praise God for a safe holiday!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay, no LK, I am not finished with the dungeon...decided the work needing to be done required me being on a ladder. Thought best to wait until at lest one of the kids was home so if I had trouble...ie: falling.

Kim has been in touch sporadically Jaye. Limited internet access...she did email me she was sick on Sunday and missed the trip to the beach. Nothing serious probably the change in diet..she follow a very strict diet when home and I am sure it is more difficult when away. My concern now is what are they going to do about TS Chantal!!!! I would greatly prefer my daughter gets back home safe and all in one piece, thank you very much.

Glad you had a good trip to the place that soothes all quilting fanatics. Works better than Valium and no real side effects...well sewing but that is also therapeutic. I think Kel was just trying to be nice to make up for all you have gone through with his family.....

Well, it is still drizzling out so I guess no grass mowing for me tomorrow. Wait! Can't anyways as it is time to have my CPAP machine checked so it will be up and at 'em in the morning.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, I think you're right. I really appreciate his good behaviour today. He was tickled the quilters had big smiles on their faces. Said he had never seen any unhappy quilter!! What?? A fabric store.. we unhappy? lAs you said, it's our therapy! Lol!
Oh by the way, I told him of that RWB tp.. he laughed and said that should make him feel special!! Someone thought enough of his butt!!!
Didn't catch the news on TS Chantal. Sent prayers that no harm come to Kim.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Welllll actually I wasn't thinking of his butt but I thought he might find a good use for the RW&B TP. LOL

Thanks Jaye, I really wish I knew what they will be doing..sending them home early or just sticking it out. Kim did say that the side she is on doesn't get much from the storms...but that can always change.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You'd be glued to that tv and waiting by the phone won't you, Marion? Sniff on some vanilla if you can't sleep...
((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Don't blame you for waiting for help Marion. Better safe than sorry.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Actually Jaye, there isn't much I can do but have faith that she will be okay. Tired tonight as I have been dragging boxes out to recycle, sorting out more books we don't want to go to the Goodwill Book Store, and in general making myself stay busy.

Lk, depending on the weather the next week, I might get started on the sanding...Kim will be home and I feel much better working on a ladder. I might have to wait to do some more work until after Sue's surgery....the 24th of July. I will go be with her when it is done and stay until she is allowed to drive again. We are so close yet so far from being finished.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, don't try to be a superwoman. .The dungeon can wait till Kim returns or Charles helps you.

Didn't know Sue's having surgery.. hope it's not too serious. She'll definitely need her only sister around for moral support.

Love you ladies.. we'll catch up tomorrow. Good night.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers for Sue's surgery as well?

Night Jaye!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

She has an infected tear duct. They had put a plug in the tear duct several years ago and it has just gotten worse. The plug has gone down inside and they need to retrieve the plug and clean out the duct. My cataracts were a piece of cake in comparison. As I am the only family, other than mom, I will be going down to help her.

No, I will not be super woman, have learned that is just not me anymore.....as I have grown older, I have learned my limitations...to a point. LOL

Good night all.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

No doctor appointments this week!!! Maybe I'll get some yard work done, if I get out early in the morning or later in evening. It has been so hot and no relief in sight. DH is feeling good, hope that keeps up, but next week another chemo treatment. He still wants his Ensure floats though. If all goes well I'll have a decent tomato crop. The sweet 100 growing behind the garage is over 7 ft tall and lots of little green tomatoes on it. DH still waiting for fried green tomatoes. His black eye is back to normal so guess he will want to go fishing again soon.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

not a spider jaye. have to see orthopedic Thursday. supposed to stay off it, but with my life , well you know.
taught sara to make blueberry jam, and iy boiled over the whole stove. am at a lose on how to get it off

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Pegi, glad to hear hubby is feeling better! Good luck on those tomato's!

Kathy, I would take a wet cloth, paper towel, and lay it on the spill, let it soak, then scrub it up.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Brought Sue's post over:
"good morning
we are back home.
I m sorry to say Cindy and i didn't get to meet.I didn't have my own car so i was stuck trying to manage everyone elses needs for our trip to Sacramento to see my aunt. It was a great trip with my dad and kids. My aunt was a joy to see again. I don't know if i will see her again ? as she is old . So the trip meant a lot to me.
will catch up later with everyone

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Kathy,
hope this helps.
" If you are cooking high sugar mixtures such as jelly or fudge and have a spill over, permanent damage to the cook top surface may occur unless spillover is immediately removed. "

Heavy, burned-on soil

1. Apply a few drops of cleaning cream to the cool, soiled area.

2. Using a damp paper towel, rub cream onto the burned-on area.

3. Carefully scrape remaining soil with a razor scraper. Hold scraper at a 30º angle against the ceramic surface.

4. If any soil remains, repeat steps listed above.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pegi, let Darwin enjoy his Ensure floats! I don't see why anyone enjoy fishing that much. My ex did until I caught more fish than him! The weird part, I didn't care for it. Give me a cool room, books, tv and the sewing machine.

Marion, how's the weather there?

LK.. hope you and Cindy aren't in the triple digits.

Had to bring Lola to the vet for her annual. Vet costs has gone up, and poor Lola endured all the necessary shots. She lost 3 pounds. Since it's too hot to be riding in the car, she doesn't get as much treats as she used to. Daddy's always making burger stops.. and bebe will get one too. If daddy gets and ice cream cone, bebe will get some. Vet said Daddy need to stick to less fattening food!! Lol!
Lola still hasn't been spayed. We're trying to avoid that as she's too tiny! Anyway, she's not in contact with other dogs, except for Hambone. When she's in heat, she's always indoors.

At the vet's office, looking out the window, there was an old man going to the back of his car telling his pooch to get out. He kept pleading with the pooch and even lied saying they're hom! When he tried to grab it.. it scooted to the other side. Poor guy had to walk around and tried grabbing it from there. Yes that pooch then went the opposite end!
I had a good laugh when I saw that "baby" was a huge St. Bernard!!! The man was about my height!
Kel helped the man as the vet techs were all busy. Never get a pooch bigger than you!!

My yard work will just have to wait. Caught something at the vet that got me all stuffed and teary eyed. Must be those long hair poodles and the St. Bernard!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, that must have been funny watching that man trying to get Baby from the car! Hope your allergies heal up soon!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes it was!! Especially when the man kept saying they're home! What was he thinking? All our pets know what's home!!
Was on FB for a while, found out that today is the first day of the Muslim Ramadhan month. Family will be fasting from sunup to sundown. When I was in the afternoon session (schools in Singapore were conducting classes in 2 sessions, morning and afternoon), I couldn't concentrate from the heat and being hungry! I learnt fast to hide candy in my school bag! Maybe that's one reason I can't be a Muslim.
Kids younger than 12 are allowed to fast for only half a day. The sick and elderly are excused.

Think I'll start sewing and enjoy the ac blowing on me. Marion must be enjoying hers too!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I was up and out early as I had a doctor's appointment.....checking my CPAP machine to make sure it is working correctly. Did a few errands and now I am trying to cool down. It is so humid out!!! It is clear so far but who know for how long.......

Heard from Kim, said they were told they would only experience rain from Chantal...hope the know what they are talking about. Did say there was a chance her flight home on Saturday might be mess up. Will know more later....I hope.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

praying kim makes it home ok, and don't miss the reunion.
I have 2 sofas 3 twin beds and 2 queen air matresses, so room for all. i'll even give up my king bed
